Applebee’s

Absolutely the worst Applebee’s I have every been to. The most ratchet staff ever. We waited nearly 20 minutes after being seated for a server to approach the table. The server had a terrible attitude and seemed like she didn’t even want to be there. After placing our order we waited forever until it came only to find out that half the orders were incorrect. After arguing with the server for 10 minutes she reluctantly replaced it. The food quality was absolutely terrible. everything was cold and terribly made. At the end of the horrific experience I could not wait for the check to arrive so I can finally leave. But even that took forever. After 20 minutes of waiting for the check I had to get out of my seat and walk up to the waitress so she could finally print my check. Please don’t waste your money here unless you enjoy cold food served in a ghetto atmosphere by rude servers.

Food poisoning. Don’t do it to yourself, no matter how tempting the half off appetizers seem.

Always fast get a table. Noisy enough for my 3 kids under 9years voices not to bother anyone. Food ok. Prices ok. My kids actually love going. They enjoy the sports on tvs and ofcourse husband doesnt mind it either. Location is down the street for us so easy cummute. Plenty parking. Helps that its near chuckee cheese. So i dont have to settle to pizza there.

Great experience. We went for the specials… But they treat us very special. Juanita was a our server and after explain our situation she did a remarkable thing for our son. Thanks Applebees. Definitely coming back soon.

Horrible service! Last time I will go this Location to have a meal! Took like 10 mins for a server at our table, I asked about particular pricing on a food item and was miss informed by our server, just as overall bad experience

The worse food ever! My fiancé and I and another couple ordered chicken quesadilla, nachos, spinach and artichoke and a pretzel stick with some kind of cheese sauce. Three out of the four appetizer were served cold. The waitress had returned back the appetizers and after 45 minute wait they finally returned back to three appetizers. Yes, the appetizers remained cold. None of us bothered to eat. Honestly, In the past 6 years I’ve must of been there about 10 times, I have to say i never had a pleasant experience. its a shame how this restaurant is managed and how bad the food is.

WORST SERVICE EVER!
Under the table was full of garbage and we were not even given sets of utensils. We were not mean to the server or anything. My boyfriend just asked for some napkins and he was sitting on the inner side of the table and she left it all the way at the end of the table far away from him with an attitude on top of that. I would never go here again.

Service was definitely the worst I’ve ever experienced. Food was horrible. Ordered «medium» bourbon steak, gave me a very «well done». Didn’t bother asking for another one, for it was already late, plus with my server’s attitude, for all i know i would’ve been eating steak with her «special sauce». Ate half of it. THE WORST steak I’ve ever had! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Well I guess I just had my last supper from this place. Don’t even waste your time/​money. Just drive a couple more miles south of 440 you’ll see TGIF or Longhorn steakhouse.

Friendly staff, food is consistent, place is clean and décor is awesome. Bathrooms are ok. Parking lot is a bit dim but parking is ample. Only thing I didn’t like was a few menu changes and an extremely noisy table using a lot of profanities and no one addressing the problem, that’s a hard call in this industry I know but a manager should be able to handle this with ease. As far as the people that mentioned cockroaches, I call bs

I had the worst burger of my life in this restaurant. We couldn’t finish our meals even after forcing ourselves for the next 20 minutes. Right after placing our order, our assigned waitress forgot to bring our ordered meals and drinks. After constant reminders, meals were served. As distasteful as it looked, twice terrible it tasted!
Drinks were still okay, worth the price tag.
Even if you’re super hungry, there is a pizza hut and dunkin donut nearby. I’ll prefer them over this not-​so-​worth it expensive place!

Don’t come here! It’s infested with roaches! We told the manager about it and he didn’t even do anything! What kind of manager are you?! Health inspectors needs to come here and check it out! Ugh!

I ordered the three cheese penne for pickup here and found a cockroach after eating half of my food. I was very disgusted and called the restaurant immediately. They had the nerve to offer me a discounted price on my next meal… NEXT MEAL? I will never order from them again and asked for my money back. BEWARE

Sadly my friend had food poisoning from this place and the times that I went were not so pleasant. The food is average, very fake tasting and the wait is pretty long.

Service is friendly and they’re one of the few places in jersey city that has parking. I like their brew pub pretzels and sweet potato fries. Not giving them five stars because I’m not keen on the crowd here and it’s typical apple bees fare. After 10 PM appetizers are half off so that’s cool. I have to say the wait staff are very accommodating and professional. I will come back, why not.

Horrible service. Employees are so careless and unprofessional. I walked in and waited for 5 min at the host stand because all the employees were goofing around with each other. I order a steak and requested it to be cooked medium but came out rare. I wasn’t able to get the servers attention for about 10min.

Where to begin.
After waiting 10 – 15 minutes for a table on a Sunday afternoon — when there were visible empty tables — we were seated at a large booth. We got an appetizer and some sodas. I began choking on a chip and needed some water. First, we couldn’t find any server to flag down for a water but eventually found our waitress. Two minutes later, we found her walking by with an entrée for another table. Then, she came by again with a coffee for another table. As my face began to turn red, I went up to the bar and was able to get a water from the bartender. After an additional 5 minutes, our waitress appeared with a single water and no offer to refill our drinks.
When our food arrived, the server noted «that’s one of my favorite entrees» which is some high praise and sorta funny. I then chocked on my grilled chicken but this time, I already had a water. Crisis averted.
The waitress came by very rarely and only when we had finished our food.
On the plus side, I used a gift card so it was cheap.

Disgusting is the best word to describe this Applebee’s and it isn’t like I had high expectations. My fiancé order shrimp and broccoli cavatappi. It was uninspired and bland with under cooked shrimp and gluey pasta. I feel personally offended that I paid for it. When we complained the waitress offered a similarly crappy breadstick as filler.
I ordered steak and whole grains. It was supposed to be medium rare. It was well done the first time and rare when I got it back. I said forget it and choked it down. I would rather eat air cake and cloud pie than return here.

1. Ordered the whiskey sirloin steak and found the steak was cover with burnt mushroom and burnt onion. The steak was good.
2. Ordered the steak with the whole grain & the spinach shrimp salad and they both came out very salty.

Okay, I get it. Sometimes it’s crazy busy and packed here. Sometimes they forget to seat you. Or that they even say you at all. Bite here’s why I give this place three stars at the very least.
First of all, they can be inconsistent with both the food and service. When you DO get here on a good day, thought the service is great — a handful of servers are extremely nice, and the food can even be good, too. PLEASE don’t forget that this is after all a chain restaurant.
We came in today for a late lunch and our waitress La’Shaundria was really nice. What we ordered doesn’t really matter because, of course, it’s a chain, and they’ll serve chain restaurant food. Today, though, I had a bourbon street steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium, and upon serving it, our waitress even asked if it looked good upon slicing it. And it really was. It had a good sear to it, and it was cooked how I asked. Please don’t even let me go on about how Houlihan’s in Bayonne served me a gray, probably boiled steak! Another plus — their drinks are strong!
Don’t be fooled by a lot of the bad reviews. I’ve been coming here for years. Again, they can be inconsistent, but consider that I got two appies, two entrees, four alcoholic beverages, for ~$ 65 NOT including tip.

Dear Applebee’s Of Hudson Mall,
It is hard to say I am surprised that I received less than stellar food and service here, but I thought you would be amused by my little rendezvous with you on this slow Wednesday evening.
Impressed that I was greeted by an immensely kind host who seated us promptly, our bewildered waiter, however, did not arrive until 30 minutes later. He asked «Nobody is taking care of you?» Yells back to manager, «Okay I’ll take em.» He struggled taking down our order of 2 soups, an artichoke dip, a shrimp salad, a glass of Pinot Noir and 1 of Merlot (both of which are Red wines by the way). I think he was perplexed that we didn’t feel like doing the 2 for 20, since he kept insisting about 3 or 4 times for us to get it.
Thirsty for some happy hour relief, I gaze towards the bar and watched the bartender stare at the order, squint her eyes, and spent about 2 minutes reading the wine labels. 15 minutes later (because pouring wine is an Olympic sport now) we receive a Merlot and Pinot GRIGIO (a white wine). We immediately told him oh we said Noir, not Grigio, it’s a red wine. The waiter simply replied, «Oh yeah… um… well, we ran out of that.» So you decided to bring us a completely different wine varietal, without asking? But of course! That is completely normal, yes. Not wanting to risk another 30 minutes before I got booze in my hands, I enjoyed that white wine like a fat kid with fried chicken. It helped greatly with the agita I was suffering from at your establishment.
I ended up receiving a potato soup that had a thick skin because it had been sitting out so long, when I actually had ordered the Tomato Basil! The salad never came out and neither did our server.
It was actually an entertaining night watching the collapse of American franchise dining occur right before my eyes. Thank goodness I was in good company and the server was actually nice, though he should consider another profession.
Thank you Mr. Applebee’s for such a memorable evening. You’re a cheap date, but we won’t be seeing each other again.
