The service gets an A while the food gets a B. One of the negatives I noted was the ridiculous amount of oil used in the food. The fried rice looked like it had swum through a deep frier to get to us. But it was delicious. Also, Bacon. The fries are amazing. I’d recommend getting the kimchi cheese on the side to keep them from getting soggy. The Korean Special crêpe was okay. Nothing special, but serviceable. I’d come back.

Addicted to their kimchi fries. Has a succulent mixture of kimchi and melted shredded cheese. Went there w a party of 6 and ordered 3 plates of kraverie fries and large wings which accommodated us beautifully.

Authentically friendly service — sometimes being called«honey» can be nice and not demeaning — and good, affordable, neighborhood food. We ate simply from the Korean side of the menu and were rewarded: the wings were sweet and juicy. The bibambap was excellent: fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. I had the regular, without meat. Next time I will add bulgogi to jazz it up. Also, next time we’ll sample from the crepes sides of the menu!

Kraverie is just so yummy! Seats are limited as the place is on the smaller side. I always order the bbq platter and the jap chae. They give you meat options for the bbq platter but I always get the spicy pork. The platter comes with two meat options, rice, Kim chi, and potato salad. Everything on that platter is delicious. The jap chae is a staple Korean dish made with glass noodles mixed with vegetables in what tastes like sesame oil and soy sauce. That too is amazing. I can’t wait to come back and try some more dishes on the menu. I heard the Kim chi fries and wings are really good as well.

We’ve been back several times since my first review. I tried some different menu items, all are delicious. Most recent visit a couple of weekends ago I went back to the Seoul Cheesesteak. Seriously flavorful stuff going on in that sandwich. The kind of flavor that makes me want to write to Guy Fieri and tell him to get on over here for an episode of Triple D. I am updating to 5 stars not only because the cheese steak is so good, but because the staff has really warmed up. One familiar face(I am horrible with names, sorry!) remembers us now. Must be because we first brought our son last year when he was only a couple months old, and now she sees him a a big 9 month old boy! She sets us up nice in a corner and we go along our meal. Then it happened… silly daddy let baby try a little piece of French fry, which got caught in his throat. A quick response from mommy and all was fine. Later on in the meal, she approached us to let us know our little incident made her realize they have no choking or First Aid posters around, nor is the staff trained to respond. She is going to ensure that is rectified and look into training options. She genuinely cares, and that is a 5 star experience.

This place is cute and the food is definitely to crave for! Absolutely loved the cheese kimchi fries and japchae. I’m a huge fan of glass noodles and it hit the spot! Thought the place is small and you might have to wait a little for an open table, the service is quick and friendly and the food is of course great. I tried the vanilla crêpe for dessert and that was the cherry on top!

Happened upon this place randomly when looking for a place to eat brunch with my pooch(yes, they have outdoor seating!). No alcohol but it looks like it’s BYOB since someone was drinking a bottle of wine. The food was delicious and will leave you full the whole day. We didn’t get the kimchi fries but it they looked amazing. Both of our brunch items were delicious and flavorful. Staff was friendly and efficient and even offered my dog a bowl of water. We will be back!

Oh. Em. Gee. This place! So I’ve worked near here for the last 4 years and I JUST tried it yesterday. It was amazing! I want to try everything on the menu! It’s small and cozy inside and the people that work there are very friendly. I ordered the rice bowl with ribeye beef(I forget the name) and ordered the cheesesteak for my husband. I got take out so I cannot comment on the service but I’ll definitely be back soon. Delicious food but prices can be on the high side(I paid $ 37 for the bowl, cheesesteak, and 2 crepes). Parking sucks of course. I ordered the crepes and thought they were just ok(but I may just be not a crêpe person). I can’t wait to come back and try more!

This place is wonderful! I came here after an indoor soccer game with friends, so I was really hungry. I ordered the Bibimbap which was so YUMMY. My friends ordered the tacos and the Jap Che noodles. Both of this dishes were really good too. Next time I come back I will order the noodles because they were so tasty. We also ordered a cheesecake crêpe that was really tasty :) I highly recommend!

*pork and leek dumplings(meh, it was alright; honestly nothing special; the dumpling skin itself was think and crispy which I was not expecting, since I’m used to dumplings having a chewy and softer texture) *jap chae noodles(these were served warm with some thinly sliced carrots, choi and sesame seeds; I actually really enjoyed this; plenty of noodles in the bowl so you’ll definitely be full; I liked the salt content in here as well as the texture of the noodles) *Korean crêpe(got this with short ribs inside… not impressed with the short ribs at all, they were kind of dry and chewy; however, the crêpe itself was delicious! super fluffy and had a nice sweetness to it to balance out the meat; this comes with a nice side salad but just beware if you’re not a big fan of raw red onions because there’s a lot of huge slices of them in here haha) So let’s discuss. I have been meaning to try to their food since I heard about them. The food was decent, can’t say it was anything amazing. The service was kind of strange. Apparently, they are in the midst of training new staff. Here’s what happened. We got our dumplings and the noodles as our appetizers. We just finished the noodles and this server(who wasn’t the one that took our orders) asked if we wanted dessert. I looked at her inquisitively and said«we didn’t get our entrees yet.» She was just as confused and went back to the kitchen. I was watching as everybody else around us were getting their food but we still haven’t gotten ours. I’m assuming who was the manager came up to us and said that the kitchen thought our order was complete. Since they now know it’s not, they have to go back and re-make our entrees. I’m like wtf??? How hard could this order have been??? We got 2 apps and 2 entrees. That was it. Not sure what happened. Getting our entrees took an additional 20 minutes. I mean the take out orders were coming out faster than ours. I feel that because we were dining in house, our issue should have been resolved and gotten our food first prior to any take out orders. Just saying. Overall, not a place I’d pick to return.

Kraverie’s solid korean fusion flavors combined with its low prices make it a great dining experience! Food: The food was above average, but not«blow your mind» good. The kimchi fries were a nice starter to the meal, and the seoul cheesesteak had subtle korean flavors in an american classic. The quality of food did outpace the size of the pricetag. Definitely worth it! I do not see the ratings increasing. The rating could be downgraded if the quality of food were to suffer, the prices would increase.

Torn.about.this.place. i sat outside, which was nice and relaxing. Especially on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, granted it was packed inside, it deff did effect my service. I was the only one sitting out side. and i think i got forgotten about at times. My salmon korean crêpe with cream cheese and capers and side salad was good, but i wasnt impressed. Mainly because the whole thing was cold. Yes cream cheese is cold, but the crêpe itself was cold and it just didnt melt together right. I also felt the tomatoes were overpowering the smoked salmon. Not a good combo at all… what a let down because ive had this bookmarked forever, and it just did not simply impress me.

Great small little restaurant to eat some tasty Korean food. The servers were extremely nice and friendly. We started with the kimchi fries, which were absolutely delicious. The fries were fried perfectly and the kimchi on top was flavorful. It was not too spicy so that was a good thing. We had the short rib(Kalbi) quesadillas and the bulgogi Cheesesteak. I was in love with the Cheesesteak, but not so much of the short rib(kalbi) quesadillas. The spicy mayo made the quesadillas taste better tho. I will definitely come back to this place to try the other options they have to offer.

Stopped by Kraverie on a lazy Sunday. Since it was Sunday, Kraverie had both the lunch menu and the brunch menu available! The place is tiny and we were secretly hoping they whipped out their outdoor seating for this unusual warm winter weather but oh well! We ordered the classic Bibimbap, the Vegetarian Savory Crêpe, and the Kimchi Cheese Fries. The Bibimbap was tasty, but a little too heavy on the rice. I was expecting more vegetables mixed in. The Vegetarian Crêpe was a totally different taste — very fresh with lots of pesto and avocado — I really liked it. The Kimchi Cheese Fries are so heavy and delicious, I’m surprised this place isn’t open into the wee hours of the night with this perfect drunk food. Overall, it was a good experience. The place is pretty cute, the food was good and the service was a nice. It’s a great spot in JC and conveniently located to the new stores opening on the other side of City Hall.

I’ve been to Kraverie several times and always order my favourite item on their menu each time: kimchi cheese fries! i’ve tried their tacos, crepes, burrito, bibimbap and korean chicken wings, all of which are just alright. This time, i ordered their korean nachos and it is sooo goood! Th portion is large, and the nachos has the same yummy, kimchi topping as their kimchi fries. one tip: mix up your nachos then let it sit till it soaks up all the yummy sauces. I enjoyed the wet nachos much better than the fresh, crispy ones! I also added galbi to my nachos for additional $ 3. I will be ordering the nachos and kimchi fries again on my next visit. The only complaint from my last visit is their slow service, probably because I came on a busy Saturday night. Service was fine on my previous visits.

Love how Jersey City has these cute little mom and pop shops that you won’t really know about unless it was for Unilocal or from word of mouth. I discovered this place from my coworkers and was intrigued to try the Seoul Cheesesteak and their kimchi cheese fries. This combo was good, but I wish the bread was fresher and a little less dense as it got boring after the first half. It’s worth trying, but maybe you’ll want to share the other half with someone else? The kimchi cheese fries weren’t anything memorable or out of the ordinary. The other times that I ate here, I always got their bibimbap with bulgogi(meat will cost you extra). It’s a solid dish that’s hard to mess up and you get a good portion of bulgogi.

Kraverie is a BYOB establishment, so let’s get that out of the way first. I will say that I am typically NOT a fan of fusion food, especially when it comes to Asian food. Call me a purist, but Kraverie may be the starting point of me being a convert towards Asian fusion cuisine. Korean, Mexican, and French, Kraverie makes me crave it again *haha*. I came here for brunch on a Saturday and was seated immediately. FOOD: I got the Seoul Cheesesteak, reminiscent of a Philly cheesesteak, but you can taste the bulgolgi meat along with cheese, presented as a normal Philly cheesesteak. I would say that it was mighty delicious and reasonably priced! I love how Kraverie can take simple and inexpensive ingredients and elevate them to good food. The meat was well marinated like any good bulgolgi should be! On top, there was fried kimchi, was added a nice spice to the sandwich itself. SERVICE: Prompt and quick! Not a moment wasted with the wait staff at Kraverie, which may be perceived as rushing, but it’s better than waiting around forever for somebody to come around. Next time, I will get the crêpe, which also looks tasty!

Bookmarked this place seeing it on Unilocal a couple of weeks ago. Luckily got to try it since a friend moved into the neighborhood and she recommended this place. Upon entering, we noticed they had outdoor seating as well as small indoor dining area as well. Cute hole in the wall. Apparently this place is a combo of 2 food trucks in the area combining Korean snacks and crepes. We got the kimchi bacon fried rice, kimchi cheese fries, and large wings. I recommend grabbing the first 2 but the wings here doesn’t really taste like typical Korean wings. More of a sweet and sour feel to it. It’s alright at best. Service was ok but was subpar for the small space. The waitresses were friendly but not too attentive.
