Ah haha! Of course this place is great! I remember my first beer. Never fails to wake up with a krave case as your pillow.

Cravers, descend upon Journal Square and join me at the most royal of fast food dining establishments. Journal Square’s White Castle has fast service and they make their burgers the way you expect. Oniony and scrumptious. Thank you.

I cant say too much about this location except, SLOW, RUDE, and ANNOYING! I had to wait 20 minutes for a sack of 10. No other customers were in the store… I think i’ll stay away from every fast food place in JC from now on.

Sometimes you just CRAVE White Castle. The parking is really strict so don’t think you can double park and grab anything from other business in the area. It’s no joke…

Stopped through the drive thru. The service was acceptable, this is more about the food. The buns greasy and the meat lacked any flavor — more oily than anything else. The fries, the potatoes were barely ripe, and as such tasted rather off. And the sweet tea tasted smoky for some reason. Eh. I’m disappointed.

WHY is there ketchup on my cheeseburgers? I NEVER asked for ketchup on my cheeseburgers! I’ve NEVER been to a White Castle that puts ketchup on cheeseburgers without being asked! White Castle FAIL. So pis-ed. Plus the eating area is FILTHY. I planned to eat my meal there but just left to eat it at home because I didn’t want to touch the tables, hence why I didn’t find out until it was too late that there was ketchup on the burger, which ruined the taste.

Nothing spectacular. It’s a White Castle, with bullet proof windows and dirty tables(not real tables), so don’t eat inside. The food is good though. I walk over here once in a while from Vroom St, so it’s worth the walk, but definitely not for dining in.

Almost three years to the date, and I am ready to renew my White Castle vows. I had to ask my main dude about the rating, because I feel five stars is a bit generous, but considering my CRAVECASE was ready one minute early the last time I went, I’ll throw that extra star that way. We hadn’t ordered a crave case from this location(in fact, we’ve only ever ordered one once before and it was in central Jersey), and I went the extra mile of ordering that bad boy ONLINE. Caps necessary. Ordering from White Castle is one risky ass fuckin’ move, but I highly recommend. It was literally ready one minute before the scheduled pick-up time, and we just happened to get there 1. on time for the actual pick-up time and 2. early. Damn! My extra chicken sandwich had cheese on it despite the no cheese request, but for real, my mind was blown at the online crave case extravaganza that I didn’t care. And then eventually I was too sick to care. It seems to have lost its shadiness over the years, but White Castle truly shines in that seedy hour glow.

This location is great. Right in the heart of Jersey City– Journal Square. The building is kind of old and worn, you can tell, but the food is good. The workers are nice and punctual as well. This White Castle has been here for a Long time. Probably before I was born because I remember coming here when I was 4 yrs old(26 now). I’d definitely recommend you coming here for your White Castle fix.

Garbage. Working late night, leaves me with limited options here in the city. I decided to try out white castle 2 nights around 2am or so. Depending on the day the staff can be really foreign or allergic to books. I decided to go one time just for a vanilla shake. I was informed only chocolate was available. When I pulled up to the window, the girl just noticed that there was no mix in the machine. What should have been a quick transaction turned into a 15 minute ordeal. Instead of informing me she frantically yelled at her co-worker, who got her a large case of chocolate mix and then proceeded to MAKEITWHILE I WAITED. Never telling me of the situation etc. If you were gonna make it fresh, at least tell me so I could have said to make me a VANILLA instead! After all was said and done, she just handed it to me no apologies or thank you, and when I took my first sip it was SUPERTHICK that it just tasted like a block of frozen ice cream. Their burgers are also messy and made horrible with directions regarding the Fobby staff. They messed up my order, but its white castle, just eat that garbage and bounce. Will avoid this whenever possible! *WTH is up with the random homeless and druggies WALKINGUPTHEDRIVETHRU saying they just got out of work and are hungry? Lock your doors and windows if you come here at night!

There’s no White Castle in Seattle so when I saw this White Castle location I just had to try it during my trip in NJ. The original slider is excellent with fries way better than the frozen. This location is super busy. Brought some original slider back for the kids and they love it. Food — 5 location — 2 Service — 4

Late Night Danger Everything Seems Undercooked Overwhelmed Staff Many White Castles are located in seedy areas and attract drunk/high customers in the evening, this one gives you all that and more! On occasion I have a craving for junk food after work(3:30 am.) and drive through the taint of New Jersey on my way home. Heading north on Kennedy Blvd I look to my left at the WC and see one car placing their order at the drive-thru, bingo right? I should know better. I found out what takes the FAST out of food at this location: This is your brain on drugs The five people in the car ahead of me spent the next 10 minutes trying to maximize their eighteen dollar collective fortune while cleaning out their car, tossing all kinds of trash out the windows and cranking music. Let me get… five of these and two of those, six medium… no small of that. Ten with cheese — no three without cheese and on and on, WTF! The guy taking the order was VERY patient saying, so you want six with and four without and six small? No, I said three of those and five of them some extra this on that, no make it two without on that and on and on until the final decision was rendered: A «Crave Case no cheese, cause no one in this car like cheese». That’s right, over 10 minuets to order a box of plain burgers and a few sodas! The play What was going on was as you order the screen gives you a list of the items and the price. These doped up geniuses figured they would try to manipulate the order to spent their entire fortune on what their clouded heads thought was going to cost eighteen bucks, while the rest of us waited, their first try was $ 31.56! The line now had four cars behind me and the folks were becoming impatient honking horns to which the protagonists responded«f them, we were here first!» After some fifteen minutes I got to the window, the guy was very apologetic and offered me a free drink, I said no thanks it’s not your fault, he handed me my order and a large coke and apologized again. Two Stars for the valiant employee working the window! Pro Tip: Always leave enough room from the car in front of you to escape if things go bad.

After watching the movie«Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle,» I was very tempted to try to his fast food chain and since it is a «dying» franchise, this was one of the few still open! It was about 10:30 in the evening on a Friday night… the homeless people, drug dealers, and street thugs were out and about at your local White Castle and it was definitely unique to see! The food tasted like it was frozen and barely thawed out before cooking. I probably could have purchased the«White Castle freezer packs» in your local super market and made the same quality burger. I guess that is why there are only a handful still remaining!!!
