My wife and I had breakfast here this morning on our way home from renting a condo on Kiawah Island(mainly based on the 4.5 average stars rating on Unilocal). I had the breakfast special and my wife had the French toast. Honestly, it was not a bad breakfast, but was very similar to the grits, eggs, bacon and toast that you can get at Krystal for half the price. We also got two diet cokes for a total bill of nearly $ 19.00. I just expect a little bit more quality for that amount for a breakfast and not to be eating on paper plates with plastic forks and knives.

#fivestarfriday. #yelpcharleston. #843 Unilocal this is not your average gas station! super clean, well maintained and the food is outstanding! you have to try the chicken salad, oh my was it good! they also have a nice bunch of wraps and sides. oh goodness me, the sweet potato fries will change your life! which is funny because as a rule i don’t like sweet potato fries! but these are worth it! the staff is super friendly and i always see one of them cleaning. now on to the important part, the restrooms. super clean and good smelling! if you are out at kiawah or freshfield village, stop on by, it is well worth it.

I have been coming to Kiawah Island every year even before the Freshfields Village was built. When it was first built I went in to the Station and tried a sandwich and loved it. I didn’t really stop in for a few years because most of my family are health nuts and vegetarians, but now that I’m married, my husband and I stopped in and tried the fried chicken wrap and it was delicious! We will probably go back tomorrow and try another sandwich and I’m willing to bet it will be just as good!

The lunch might be ok but the breakfast was awful. I had the breakfast special($ 6.95) with bacon, grits and eggs. The bacon came with too much grease and were thrown away. The buttered toast had so much butter and the grits were very lumpy. The scrambled eggs were bland(no salt and pepper) but edible. No one seemed to care or even asked about the meal. It’s a shame because the is in an upscale community and could be soooo much better. I would not come back and would not recommend this place for breakfast.

Alright, so time to reevaluate the infamous burrito… A previous review here posted by Fred D. would scare anyone from possibly even coming over here, but I decided to be brave and give it a shot to see how bad it can be. Verdict? It was actually pretty good today. The cheese could have been melted alongside the egg, and a gourmet hot sauce selection would completely change the experience as well, but the perfectly crispy hash browns gave a great contrast to the scrambled egg, cheese, and hand-minced sausage pieces inside(there is also the choice of bacon). Conclusion: If I lived close by, I would eat the breakfast burrito regularly. Also, the portions for what you pay for the sides is an unbelievable value. The sweet potato fries were good, and the fried okra was what you would expect any place that knows how to cook up some good southern soul food. On a final note, the area and the ambience is a huge plus. It was a good experience; I will definitely come back.

I had the fried chicken wrap which was delicious! I loved the wrap itself being grilled after it was assembled. The onion rings were really good, and it was a huge portion. My husband had the fried buttermilk chicken sandwich, which he loved. Only in the South can you get a fabulous meal at a gas station! Lol

The Station is a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. The Fried Chicken Wrap with tasty Onion Rings are a favorite and a repeat order item. if heading to the beach, in the area or grabbing a bite The Station is a good place to stop.

I didn’t think it was possible, but the breakfast burrito was absolutely tragic and went directly into the trash.

Selection of sandwiches was great. I got the panini and it was very good. I liked the sauce on the side and I could add a small amount. The sweet potato fries were EXCELLENT!!! Was frustrated that they sold beer but you can’t drink it with your lunch at their tables. Am I supposed to eat in the car??? Luckily the sales lady told me so I didn’t purchase it but that was strange to me!

We stopped here for lunch on our way out to Angel Oak and it was a great little stop! The sweet potato fries were so fresh and well seasoned. My husband and I split the roasted turkey sandwich and the Italian wrap. The wrap could have used a little more sauce, but was cool and refreshing and had a great flavor, and the turkey sandwich was AMAZING! So flavorful, and the peppercorn dipping sauce was the cherry on top — so good! Perfect place to grab a quick meal before heading to the beach or exploring the rest of Kiawah.

Decent food, clean facilities, fair prices. We ordered the chicken salad sandwich– it wasn’t «the best we ever had» as the previous reviewer mentioned, but it was still pretty good for a convenient store(we all added salt and pepper). We also got the turkey sandwich with apple cranberry chutney– it was a good standard turkey sandwich. Make sure you keep your receipt after paying to be able to receive your food from the counter. The store had a very nice interior and very clean restroom. We stopped in for a quick lunch after a morning at Kiawah Island beach.

You can trust all the reviews. We came to Kiawha for the first time last year and discovered the deli at The Station. We returned to Kiawha again this year and purposely returned to the deli for the breakfast sandwiches and lunch wraps. Food is excellent, priced right, friendly staff, and super clean.

Great place to grab a gourmet sandwich at an affordable price at Kiawah. Had the chicken salad sandwich. It was one of the best chicken salads I have ever had — not runny with mayonnaise like a lot of chicken salads. You order, pay for it and then wait for your name to be called. Wonderful mixture of clientele. A woman customer wearing $ 500 designer slacks stands next to a painting contractor with paint all over his pants. Nothing like it nowhere. Good reasonably priced food appeals to all classes! I give it 5 stars not only because the food was delicious, but because it was cleaner than many establishments. We had just eaten a few days earlier at a well-known restaurant on King Street in Charleston that was disgustingly dirty. At The Station, on the other hand, you could eat off the floor. I noticed one of the restaurant employees carefully cleaning the tables and the self-service drink station. The devil is in the details restaurant owners!

If you get anything here be sure it is the sweet potato fries. The portions here are generous, the location beautiful and the people who work the small grill area are friendly. This place offers a good variety to choose from for a quick lunch on a jam packed day of exploring on Kiawah Island. If you don’t want to wait grab something from the pre-made section or a snack from the grocery aisles.

Incredible gas station! Reminds me of a wawa from back home. There’s a deli, fresh sandwhiches, grocery, and they cook up items to order. Great place to hit before getting on the road! And it’s CLEAN!

The station is not only a great place to get gas and run in for quick groceries/chips and drinks but also a delicious place for lunch. I quickly realized it must be good if the locals were eating there. Its a short bike ride from Kiawah with plenty of bike parking. The chicken salad sandwich, bbq sandwich and breakfast are really good. I highly recommend the station if you are looking for homemade sandwiches at half the price.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that this place is inside a convenience store, this is one of the best Deli’s in the charleston area. They have hot and cold sandwiches and everything is cooked to order. Highlights are California Club Croissant, the best chicken salad around, sweet potato fries, roast turkey… they also have bugers and such as well as daily specials. Delicious!

Do you want a quick bite without having to pay«island» prices? Forgot to pick up milk at Piggly Wiggly? Do you need to put air in your tires before you get back on the road? The Station offers convenience for everyone– from the $ 4 pizza + two beers special to the competitively priced gas station, it’s great to have such a nice and affordable place on the island. The Station fills a void that Kiawah had for years… You can bike over for your morning coffee or a casual lunch. The made to order deli sandwiches and burgers are pretty good, and they have indoor(and patio) seating. You can pick up your favorite six pack or ice cream bar to cool down. The best way to sum up The Station is that it’s a one stop shop. No matter what you need, they will probably have you covered.
