I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting much from the restaurant, based solely on the name and the fact that it didn’t have much immediate competition.
The she-​crab soup was hands-​down the BEST she-​crab soup I’ve ever had. Perfectly creamy without being too heavy, well-​seasoned, and thick with sweet crabmeat.
My entrée, a mixed platter of grilled shrimp and soft-​shell crab, was just on the better side of mediocre, but the collard greens were AMAZING. I could have made a meal with the collards alone.
I finished the meal with an oyster shooter… and then 5 more. Absolutely delicious. Overall, a great experience.
