Whenever I’m visiting Seabrook Island, I make an appointment with Nicole for massage. I’ve seen her several times and her massage is consistently awesome. Yesterday she delivered the perfect balance of a relaxing style and deeper work on my hot spots. She is a warm professional with an intuitive gift for her work and I always feel very comfortable on her table. Seeing her is a relaxing treat that I always look forward to. The staff are always friendly and spa itself is pleasant enough. I’ve never had hair or nail services here, but I did have a facial once a couple of years ago. I wasn’t impressed, but again that was sometime ago and surely things have changed. I’m going to stick with visiting Nicole, who individually deserves 5 stars at least!

I am very pleased with exceptional services provided by Susie Stroupe, owner, nail stylist and Aqua Chi professional. I have enjoyed Susie’s extraordinary services for the past 4 years. Her salon is on Bohicket Marina, faces the water and allows all clients magnificent views of the water and tidal grasses from all salon rooms (with the exception of massage rooms).
During the past 5 months, I have been receiving extraordinary services for very dry psoriatic feet in the form of Aqua Chi. Susie’s concern and professional treatment have aided in healing
both feet. The treatment followed by deep massage and reflexology have enabled better foot health, Praise God. Aqua Chi, a holistic treatment, is used for many health care challenges. I urge anyone to consider it as a viable form of great treatments options.
I recently enjoyed a deep tissue massage from Paul, a masseuse employed at Synergy.

Treat yourself to an afternoon of decadence — make an appointment at Synergy Day Spa.

I called the salon as soon as they opened and asked to do a massage at noon. The person who answered said «we can accommodate, we can’t do noon, but we can do 1pm, will that work for you?» I said «I have a wedding to go to at 4pm, will that be enough time?» Yes. Done at 2pm, should be good. I got there at 12:50pm and they said «she is running late with a client, she’ll take you soon.» Then they said at 1pm, «actually she is stuck in traffic, she will be here at 1:15pm, is that ok?» Caught in a lie. I said «not really, I have to go to a wedding…» She said well she will be here shortly. I decided to wait. 1:25pm came and the receptionist apologized again. I explained that I was upset and up against the clock and I think the run around is unprofessional. At this time, the 1:30pm client waiting to see another masseuse gave up her slot for me. A+ in curtesy to Kiawah island resident. Got in the room and undressed at 1:40pm and the massage was mediocre at best.
1. Not a «deep tissue massage» at all.
2. At one point there was a knock on the door, someone peeked in and said «can I have your car keys?» The masseuse said «ok». Then she stopped, and walked out of the room!
3. The room was on the marina where there are a lot of people walking around and talking so the background noise was pretty loud and the relaxation music definitely did not drown out the other noise.
4. At 2:20pm she said she was finished. 40 minute massage?
I walked out and the receptionist rang me up for the full $ 95 for a 60 min session after 40 minutes and their scheduling flub. I asked if she felt good about charging me that for the 40 minutes. I could tell I made her mad when she rolled her eyes and she walked away to ask someone what to charge. They landed on $ 70. I gave up. Paid the $ 70 and decided to write this Unilocal review. Would never go back again, even if it was free. Waste of time. Spend your money and time elsewhere.

Girls’ day out with my niece, we had dueling pedicures while relaxing in yummy pedicure chairs with a view of the harbor — we even saw dolphins! It is a gorgeous day spa, beautiful décor and professional staff. Wonderful treatment, relaxing and top-​notch service and, of course, our feet looked gorgeous! We hear that their new massage therapist, Paul, is super, too!

This review is for wedding hair and makeup.
I got married this past weekend on Seabrook Island. I came to Seabrook in July for a hair and makeup trial at Synergy. When I returned this past Saturday for my hair and makeup appointment, my hair appointment went well but my hairdresser kept telling me there was no chance the weather would clear up for my wedding (which made me feel awful).
For the makeup appointment, the salon lost my sheet of notes from the trial in July (what shade of foundation, etc.). The beautician made me orange (I am really pale). Like fluorescent, fake tan orange. I washed it off and 2 hours before my wedding I had to rush home and luckily a friend did an amazing job with makeup (not fluorescent orange).
And the weather did clear and we had an amazing sunset.

Amazing professional service with a gorgeous waterfront view– what more could you ask for? Delightful staff, beautiful space and the most amazing view i’ve ever had from a pedicure chair. I had an incredible pedicure from Suzy and an awesome facial from Elena and my sister-​in-​law got «one of the best 3 massages she ever had in her life.» We were greeted with wine and received warm friendly service from the entire staff. I can’t think of a reason to ever go anywhere else!

Very professional and friendly staff. You really get what you pay for. There is not another spa where you can enjoy a cup of tea and have such an incredible view of the water and boats coming into the marina. Very pleased with my color and cut from Pat! I had such a wonderful experience at Synergy Day Spa. The staff were very friendly. The Spa was relaxing and I had an amazing view while receiving my pedicure. Susie the owner is amazing ! I have no complaints of any services I received here. I highly recommended this Spa they are very accommodating to my needs every summer when my Family visits Seabrook Island. Look forward to next visits.

My sister booked Synergy for her beach wedding in Seabrook Island, SC earlier this year. We visited a few months ahead of time and did a trial hair run. We were confident enough to book them for all the bridesmaids the day of the wedding. They quoted us a reasonable price which convinced us that it was a good deal. The day of the wedding, they came over and did a pretty good job on everybody’s hair. It wasn’t stellar, but good enough. The trouble started when the woman in charge announced that they were charging us $ 20 more than they quoted us per person. If they were true artists (like Jonny on the Spot, make up artist EXTRAORDINAIRE), I would have been OK with it. However, they did a mediocre job and did not even bring a mirror for everyone to look at the back of their hair with. Come on! Oh, and how about bring blonde bobby pins when you have a blonde bride. And, this is just a tip for the future, It’s «height», not «heigth». Book elsewhere and hopefully you’ll get more professional service than we did.
