Food looked fresh. We went there for lunch. All was good except that there was not that much variety of foods and I thought to much American food. The sushi was good. They had a shrimp/crab dish that had only old bits of food left in the pan that never got refilled. Otherwise a great place.

Good food. Nasty and unclean carpets. Oh, and apparently it’s okay to illegally sell(colored) contact lenses in a restaurant. I’m glad I don’t eat here very often.

I’ve eaten here dozens of times over the past few years. The place is located adjacent to my workplace, so it’s super convenient for me. Their lunch price can’t be beat and they even give me a small discount. They keep the food in a pretty steady rotation on the food bars so it’s usually pretty fresh. They also have a Hibachi grill, which is OK, but make sure the chef doesn’t drown your food in soy or teriyaki sauce. My favorite among the Chinese buffets in JC.

Empire Chinese Buffet is a very popular lunch spot due to the variety of Asian cuisine it offers. There was sushi, General Tso’s, Chinese donuts, and so much more! The quality of the food was pretty good — if you want fantastic quality Chinese food, or any type of Asian cuisine, this is not the restaurant for you. It does however have a great variety and the food is quite tasty and prices are very fair. If you’re looking for a relaxed place to enjoy all your favorite Asian dishes, Empire Chinese Buffet is the place in Johnson City to visit.

Average quality food, but wow what a selection. I think this may be the largest buffet in the city. Chocolate fondue, crab legs, salmon, lots of chicken.
