Applebee’s

We’ve never been to this Applebee’s before nor have we been to one in a very long time. This location is borderline filthy. The tables are sticky, the carpeting is sticky and held together with duct tape in places. The bathrooms are really disgusting. Our order wasn’t exactly right, but I’m not sure if it was the fault of the waitress or of the kitchen staff. The staff seems nice, but certainly needs a primer in sanitation.

This was my first time in a Applebee’s in quite a while. We brought the family for a weekday dinner. The service was great, but the food was absolutely awful. My husband salmon was grilled so dry that it was crumbling on his plate. My chicken with gravy was fried sodark brown that it was bitter to eat. I ended up packing it up and throwing it away when I got home. The kids ate their meals and didn’t seem to have much of a problem with it but my son didn’t touch his pizza bread at all.
It was a very warm day outside and the air conditioner was on so cold in this place that we were all freezing.
I most likely will not return to this establishment because the people in the kitchen apparently don’t know how to properly cook food without overdoing it.

The food was «ok» wasn’t how I expected very over priced I got the fish and chips the chips were old and dry the fish was okay but is not worth no 14 $ bring it down to 7 $ would never go back

Excellent visit. Ordered the bone in porkchop over an apple chutney with garlicky green beans and maple sweet potatoes. Both the food and service was excellent. If they can maintain this level of service and quality you will see me here quite often.

Salmon fish and what was everything was good Nick very patient with seniors and disabilities I will return back to this restaurant Nick was good and he has very nice customer service to you.

So I’ve been here 2 times this week. An both times I got dirty plates. An they allow minors to handle liquor. Very professional

We decided to try Applebee’s it’s been a while since we’ve been there, they were not too busy which was good, they have little tablets at the table you can let your kids play games on for an added $ 2 on your bill, well worth it, you can also call your waiter from it as well as pay your bill, our waiter Derek was by far the best and goes above and beyond for his customers I would recommend asking for him if you go there, the food was very good and just a good visit, we will be back again

We always enjoy the food & the service here. If you’re a WW member, this is a wise choice. The Cedar Grilled Lemon Chicken is 16 points, but it’s a big meal so I take half home. Never had a bad meal here!

I normally don’t go to this Applebees because I’ve had such bad service in the past. Tonight I happened to be in the area and decided to stop. I don’t know if I just got lucky but the service tonight was great even though the place was crowded. I ate at the bar to get free chips and salsa. The blueberry sangria was very good. I tried the new crispy chicken dish and that was ok. Giving it 5 because of the awesome tandem bartenders.

Its been hit or miss at this location. The steak a few weeks ago was terribly chewy (crappy cut of meat in general). Tonight 9÷22÷2015 just went in for a few drinks with someone (margarita, halloween martini, and my favorite… beer), but also got the wonton tacos which i would go back for over and over just because of those.

My family & I went for dinner last weekend only cuz I had a gift card to use but service sucked as usual! Even the location on Jefferson St. Sucked! Waitress had not much knowledge of the menu! I knew more then her! We waited way too long for our soups & salads! Other tables got served before us & they sat down after us! Drinks never got refilled unless we told our waitress! Not cool at all! My son calls it «CrapelBees» not going back! Hopefully I don’t get any more gift cards for this place either!

Food was okay. My island blast drink was a little off, it wasn’t too strong or not strong enough it just tasted way too bitter. There was a problem with our waitress other customer so we had to ask for water about 4 times before we got anything.

Place was packed so I sat at the bar. Best decision by far; both ladies working were so super sweet and their service was some of the best I have seen. Lynae and Brandy are both some of the best when it comes to customer service they go above and beyond Very Impressed (:

Because I was a server for many years, I have a bad habit of watching the service, management, and dining room.
We got a gift card for Christmas and decided to come last night. When we got here it wasn’t crowded at all. We were seated right away. However, it took us a good 10 minutes to get drinks. The table next to us was getting ready to leave. By the way their table looked, you would think they just got their food. The server closed them out, sat at the bar to count her tips, got her coat and left. We finally got our drinks.
The food was normal chain food. The onion rings were too crispy and hard to bite into. Nothing spectacular. The table next to us was still dirty and now we are losing room on our table as well with extra cups and dirty plates.
The manager appeared to like walking around. He was the one to serve our food and kind of dropped our plates down on the table. My husband and I ordered the same thing, but mine didn’t come out with everyone else’s. He walked away and a couple minutes later came back with my food. He looked at the table next to us, grabbed the booster seats, looked like he was going to clean it, and walked away.
The dinner rush is starting to come in now and everyone that walked by the dirty table looks at it and leaves. We closed out our bill and getting ready to leave. No one still touched the dirty table.
I shouldn’t let it bother me, but if they’re too lazy and unorganized to clean a table, why should I come back? Most likely won’t be returning.

Went here last week with my boyfriend. We normally always come here and never have a problem. I believe our waitress was new, she was very polite. they were dead yet it took forever to get drinks and our food.
We started off with the beer pub pretzel which are seriously amazing! And 15 hot wings. Everything was great except for having to ask for a cup of ranch twice…
Then we ordered the triple bacon burger, I’m not sure why they chose that name because it was literally just a patty with two pieces of bacon. We asked for little pink in our burgers and they came back over cooked and dry.
Not happy at all.
What really bothered me, was when I had piled all of our dirty plates on top of one another and pushed them to the end of our table for our waitress to pick up, they were just left there. Some guy dropped of our dinner, saw the plates and did nothing. Our waitress came by to check on us and did nothing about the dirty plates and who i believe was a manager came by to check on us look at the pile of dirty plates and walked away. Come on!
I was a waitress and that’s one of the most important things to do! Learn to pre buss your tables people! I don’t want to eat my dinner looking at dirty plates…
Also don’t bother ordering the sweet potato fries, they are dry and tasteless.
Not sure if we’ll be back.

Place was clean, best I can say about it. It just opened for the day, and not real busy, drink order was messed up,
Our waiter did not come back, so a different waitress started taking our order, half way through, waiter showed up, bumped waitress out of the way, and made us start all over again. Then, after confirming order put it in to kitchen, then had to come back and confirm it.
Hope it is just a bad morning for them, but place needs to step it up, or they will be losing my business

I normally don’t review chain restaurants, yet I’ll make an exception for this Applebee’s. Pretty fun experience while visiting Joliet. I stopped at this location twice and had bar service, and was not disappointed with the two female bartenders. Applebee’s is usually very consistent with their food quality, and this location was not different.
I greatly appreciated the staff from going above & beyond to make my experience a good one. I celebrated a birthday while in town for business, and I joked with both bartenders about being here while on the road. They surprised me with having the entire staff as well as cooks come out to sing me happy birthday, which I felt was truly awesome as well as unexpected. And plus, I was given a free birthday brownie, which I felt was kind of cool. I’ll never forget it.
Altogether, good food, good service, and good times.

Had the worst experience here! There was a plastic lid in my brother’s soup! Did they offer to comp it, absolutely not. In fact, their obnoxious manager, kept coming to our table, apparently to make things better, but would make things worse. She would ask if we needed anything, then would forget within a minute and not bring it out or make sure someone else did. Our drinks were not refilled, our dirty dishes sat at our table the whole time! We had 3 different servers. It was really just terrible service!!! We went out there for Father’s Day and we will not be going back ever. If I could give no stars, I would. We wanted to have a good sit down meal with my dad and all we talked about was how bad the service was. My dad and brother love Applebee’s, so this was sad. We usually go to Jefferson St., but opted for this one and will not do that again!

It is what it is; pre-​cooked frozen processed food served by all chains. The place was full but very clean. The layout is open & comfortable. I don’t normally care for food in places like this (if I must eat at a chain, I chose some with better quality items or any Greek diner nearby), but I would go back to try something more that a small item to give it a better review.

I had a new dish (at least I’d never noticed it before) — Lemon Parmesan Shrimp Fettucine (or something like that…). It was quite yummy, although I was almost too tired to chew.
Our waitress was kind and efficient.
And in case the people my friend gave her beer to (when she was too tired to drink it and only took a few drinks) are Unilocalers — Hi! Glad it didn’t go to waste.
