Ordered the Mr. Sub and the garlic fries. The sub was really good, condiments on it were great.
As most other Unilocalers say, these garlic fries are «Amazing». They’re crinkle cut, hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned.
Garlic fries are a must-try here. I’ll definitely be back.

I Unilocaled this spot after trying to see where to try an Italian Beef in the area. I pulled up out front and felt immediately like I was an extra in Coming to America 2. The place looked just like McDowell’s without the Golden Arcs and I was half expecting Prince Hakeem to take my order. Alas that didn’t happen but no issue.
I ordered an Italian Beef with peppers and an order of garlic fries. The Italian Beef looked similar to a roast beef poboy like back home in Nola. The bread is somewhat soggy from the beef. This isn’t a bad thing per se as it is quite good! However they forgot the peppers. The garlic fries were solid in flavor and crispness but the crinkle cut always reminds me of the Ore-Ida frozen kind.
The Italian Beef was really good and I would definitely get it again but I want my peppers! The place is kind of rundown looking so it’s not much on atmosphere. Hopefully they get my order right next time and I may bump them up a star

Have only had a few things from here (gyro, sub, and chicken pita plate) but everything has been really good. It’s A clean place with nice people working. One of the best values in town.

They never disappoint me. Usually chose to get the gyro platter with garlic fries. So much bang for your buck. I will definitely keep coming here. Especially for the garlic fries. They are awesome. Try the buffalo chicken cheese fries.

I have eaten here for years and have never been disappointed! Excellent pastrami sandwich and excellent gyros! Love the butter garlic fries, too. Best subs around with a lot of meat! Their salads are decent too! Lastly, the price is right! You get a lot of food for the money! We will definetly be back!

This blows Steak n Shake away. I’m not going to even mention subway cause those are sub shaped laxatives.
Get the Italian beef and garlic fries… these fries are great if you want taste and reek of garlic for the rest of your life

Absolutely fantastic sandwich place. I stopped here twice to and from my trip to Detroit. I had the hot Italian beef with peppers and ‘dipped’ (when they dip the sandwich in the au jus). Overall, the portion was great, the beef was well seasoned, and the au jus was perfect with the provolone. Although I have not had a large experience with hot Italian beef sandwiches, this one was great.
The second trip, I got a philly cheese steak. Although I liked the Italian beef sandwich more, this was still a great philly. The overall value of M R Submarine is a 10÷10− the portion sizes are huge, the prices are cheap, and the food is fantastic. The service was quick and convenient.
