We were on 40. But worth the 4 miles in Joplin. And it’s «Hidden«in a strip mall. But open the door and it’s like coming home. Staff is very friendly and husslin. Brandy excellent. Had Chicken Salad and cup of Chezzy Broccoli. Hit the spot. On. Our way west next October-«we be back»

Panera is my mobile office when traveling. I often stop in, grab a coffee and check email to break up my drive or between meetings. Recently I left my backpack behind, and mgt held onto it for me until I returned. Very nice, honest folks!!! They have secured my loyalty more so than ever. They also have great food…

I used to like to come to this place. The food Used to be good and the service used to be great. About 1.5 years ago all that changed. Now they rarely have more than one person on the register taking orders even when the line goes out the door. The help used to be clean cut and well dressed now they all wear dirty uniforms and have more tattoos and piercings wanna b band members. And the food has suffered to they no longer get the orders correct so after wAitjng in line for 20 minutes then wAiting on food for another 15 it comes out incomplete or just wrong. Please corporate Panera come save this store. I miss how great it used to be and you have lost me as a customer.

Not the cleanest panera I have ever been to. came here 2 days in a row while on a business trip with my toddler for lunch. The first day we were here he spilled his muffin all over the highchair. When I went to clean it the worker assured me that they would do it… Fast forward the next day… High chair is still covered in his muffin.

Road trippers beware. This place is advertised as being just off the exit, but it’s a trek. Our cashiers were hit and miss, and the girl helping my friend didn’t seem to know what«vegetarian» means. After ordering, they ran out of red peppers and came to the table to ask if one of my companions would like a substitute, which he wanted, but my other friend, well, they just brought her sandwich out lacking ingredients. It was a vegetarian sandwich… that stuff can’t afford to lose ingredients.

We visited the Joplin Panera Breads today for dinner and were disappointed. Upon placing an order, for a Fuji Apple Salad pick two with French Onion Soup, we were asked«take out or dine in?» We stated dine in and then were told that they close in 11 minutes. Well, I guess take out only? After a few minutes, the person who took our order apologized and said that«he was not trying to be rude.» Noted, but you should not treat customers like that. It does not make them feel welcome. So, then we started eating our food and the Fuji Chicken Salad had only one sliver of Apple and they had put the soup croutons in the salad instead. Gross. Additionally, they gave us less than 1⁄3 of a small plastic cup of salad dressing. We are regulars of Panera Breads but this level of service and quality was not even close to that of other locations. For that, we can not recommend Joplin Panera Breads.

Enjoyed this Panera’s cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Plenty of room for seating. They hand you a number and bring your order to your table. That is a big plus!

Panera is a chain of café/bakery style restaurants that sell baked goods, sandwiches, soups, and salads. We had an excellent Mediterranean egg white breakfast sandwich(with white cheddar, spinach and roasted tomatoes), a bear claw, a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and some killer coffees. Just for the heck of it, I asked the cashier if she knew where the first Panera restaurant opened. She said, yes, the first one started in St. Louis, Missouri, that it was originally called the Saint Louis Bread Company, that they later changed the name to Panera, etc… She talked so long I started glazing over. Still, I love that she knew that stuff and said it with pride. Tons of parking. Very clean. Great staff. Killer food.

They have great bagels and make a pretty good chai latte but I am not a big fan of Panera’s lunch offerings. Soup in a bread bowl with a baguette on the side? That is just way too much bread for any human being. I am definitely not into the Panera atmosphere either. In other cities the vibe of Panera(still St. Louis Bread Co in St. Louis proper) is decidedly offbeat but here in Joplin it feels really stuffy. Maybe it has something to do with the 32nd St location near a bunch of stuffy offices including a realty office, but the people who frequent this Panera seem to be middle aged to octagenarian. It’s crowded and slow at lunchtime and even more crowded at the weekend. I can’t say I recommend anything other than a quick pop in for bagels.

This is a GREAT place to go to and relax while enjoying a tasty pastry. Great atmosphere and friendly customer service. If you plan on going on a date, needing a place to do homework, or some where to relax and chat it up with friends, then this is the place for that!
