Fast and friendly service. Typical Subway. Nothing fancy. Inside a gas station. We enjoyed our sandwich later that day in Joshua Tree!

It’s years since I’ve eaten a Subway sandwich. I didn’t much care for the last one I had but I’m European and culturally unused to the idea of so much meat and so much choice on one piece of bread. I get it now and I understand how to order. Things have also changed. Choice of healthy breads for one thing. The service was pleasant and speedy — a couple of tables were available in a corner — we took our food away. The sandwich was perfectly fine and we chose more slimming ingredients — after Christmas, you know. Fresh ingredients and plenty of choice. You can’t beat the price especially if you share. Maybe, I’ll start eating more often in Subways… it certainly changed my opinion.
