Went and ordered a milk shake after waiting 12 min in 108* heat and still no milk shake it was time to just drive away. I don’t understand why this place sucks so bad. No more chances… One a loser always a loser

We drove from 29 Palms to have dinner and a ½ price shake because it was 8pm happy hour. They were out of lemonade, ketchup, tater tots and the ice cream machine was broken. They said the backup ice cream machine was not ready. I asked if we cojld get a drink for half price since they could not give us a shake. They said no. We left and went to Applebee’s. Applebee’s has great service and they were not out of anything.

Well, well, well. Drove an hour and a freakin half craving this place. CRAVING! Get here and sit outside with my two overly handsome friends. We ordered a lot. I can’t confirm if we had munchies or not, but we were starved. 3 cheeseburger meals, 2 loaded hot dogs, onion rings, and milk shakes later, and it was all crap. CRAP! Hamburgers tasted like they were left over from last century. Fries were blah. Onion rings were okaaaay, I suppose. Milk shake had NO flavor. NONE. Needless to say, we shan’t return. For the food anyway. We were pleasantly entertained by the server on skates as he pole danced in the parking lot. Contemplated throwing some ol’ Georgie’s at him, but we just blew it all on the nastiness we consumed. Six thumbs down on this joint. We continued on to Skull Rock where we met Carlton the majestic coyote, got our lives threatened by Slither, and then committed a lite crime… a review for another time though. Don’t eat here!

I have lived in the area for a little over a year. I have been to sonics all over the country. This is by far the worst. When I first moved here I thought,“gee, this sonic sucks. That’s unfortunate bc I love their drinks, and these clowns can’t even get a drink order correct.” A couple months ago I notice an «under new management sign» along with a «now hiring». I was pumped. I have gone 3 times since they’ve «cleaned house» and 3 times they have f-ed my order up so much it’s almost impressive. I didn’t think it was possible to hire an entire crew more ignorant than the previous, but lo and behold every asshat on a pair of skates rolled up to Yucca Valley Sonic for a job.

Quite possibly the worst sonic’s I’ve been to. I ordered the Sonic Crunch Chicken Strip Dinner and some Jalapeño Poppers. The poppers were fresh and delicious. The chicken strip dinner was stale and old, you could tell it had been under a heat lamp for a while. I informed the girl of the state of the meal, and she went to go replace it. When she brought back the replaced meal only one of the three chicken strips was hot, the other two were of the same consistency of the first meal I had received. It was crap. Both times they didn’t include the sauce I had ordered. The drink was fine, but the meal was just a representation of laziness. Keep driving, there are better places down the road.

Had a double cheeseburger, it’s not horrible but it doesn’t taste like the meat is fresh. Seems like the meat is frozen and then defrosted once it’s cooked. The fries are okay. I honestly think Sonic should switch up there hamburger meat.

HAVE A SUPERSONICNIGHT! Hell yea! Tonight was a fantastic visit to sonics. Julia is by far the mpst sweet enthusiastic customer service worker ever. Seriously her attitude gave off a vibe that says she enjoys her job.

We ate here this last Saturday. What difference new owners make. The food was very well prepared and the customer service was outstanding. We live locally and will be returning. It is run like the Sonics I grew up with in Texas.

Wow. Just had the worst experience at this Sonic. We pulled up to the car hop section and proceeded to place a large order for the three people in the car. After ordering one small item the cashier thought we were done and closed out our tab. We had to shout«wait» to add more to the order. She had already closed it out so started another new order. Apparently this was too confusing because 45 minutes later we still didn’t have food. We called the cashier again and she walked outside and personally wrote down the order again. She told us she would take care of it and it would come out in 5 min. Another 15 minutes goes by… no food. Meanwhile the drive through had about 30 orders while we were sitting in our car at the car hop. We got out of the car and walked up to the window to figure out what was going on. They still hadn’t made our food and asked us to repeat it… again. At this point we decided to leave and went just a block away to jack n the box. Much better solution. We will never be going back to sonic. In fact you couldn’t pay me to come here. Sure they were busy and mistakes happen but that doesn’t explain why our food wasn’t cooked after the cashier personally came out and wrote down the order herself. Don’t waste your time here. Jack n the box is just down the street. Same food, better service.

As a former employee I know how this store runs. I’m not trying to bad mouth this establishment I’m just giving my feedback about my visit today. So I’m on my lunch break I want a hotdog, so I wanted to sink my teeth into their pretzel cheddar dog. which by the way was amazing… but I get back to work only to find they gave me a chilli dog, I love chilli dogs but I wanted the pretzel dog. Anyways I had to go back and get it fixed, and there was a couple of employees that just looked at me like I was dumb no customer service skills at all, I don’t what happened to that place but it’s falling apart. Thanks to the drive thru chick for actually coming to help me and not your switchboard or carhops who were right in front of me.

Everything we ordered was very cold!!! We also got a cake turtle sundae. The cake was hard as a rock our spoon couldn’t even go threw it. Do not waste your money here!!!

Sadly the folks at Sonic gave me a hot dog with a bite out of it, a fact to which the manager just said, «oh». After repeated incidences with incorrect orders, being given our ice cream while in line, ice cream which was clearly covered«to go» and then left to wait 20 minutes in line while or ice cream melted into a small puddle of milk in the desert heat, and apathetic management, we have decided to go elsewhere. 18 late days later and even though I got a message from the sonic corporate headquarter saying, please be patient, we are working on this, no response. No response when I tweet and no response when I send a message. Horrible, horrible company! @sonic drive-in get it together. If only I could give zero stars.

It was terrible! Cold fries with a couple of shriveled up tater tots. The burger was dry. No flavor. No salt and just a complete disgrace to the American iconic hamburger! If I brought an out of town guest here to eat I would be embarrassed. We will not return it’s clear the management owner do not care about the return of a customer. Please avoid at all costs

Usually love Sonics. Been to maybe 30 around the country. But this place is TERRIBLE! Must be under terrible management after reading the other bad reviews. Took forever for him to figure out my simple order of 4 items. Then the food took forever to get to my car despite me being the only car here.

Slow. I mean, really slow. Apportion about 20 minutes to get your food. Even if it’s just for milk shakes. Horrible drive through system. If you order just a shake and the car in front of you is ordering a Yucca Valley 10,000 calories feast for two, expect a problem with their order and expect to be trapped in line till you get up to the window and get your shakes. That by then are starting to melt. The walk up window and car hops aren’t much faster either. Otherwise, it’s typical, slightly larger then average, mushy burger and greasy fries fast food. It’s too bad. Because the real milk ice cream shakes are delicious. When you finally get them

Unbelievable! The burgers are still stone cold whenever the staff remember to actually serve you! Avoid this place unless you enjoy cold, limp ancient burgers!

Asked for a banana split in a cup, to avoid spilling it in our car. Response: ah I’m sorry, we can’t do that… ah really dude, you don’t have the brain cells to slice a banana and layer the other ingredients??? I guess not the brightest employees are working on Sundays here.

Super convenient(right off the Hwy) and on the way to Parker and right next to an Arco gas station. Plenty of spots to park and eat and they also have a drive-thru. Service was pretty basic and food was simple but hit the spot(cheesy tots and cherry limeade all the way!).

I have been tormented by Sonic commercials even back in my high school days, when talks of fast food happy hours and cherry limeade were more than several hours drive for me. I’ve had Sonic a few times since then, and each time, it’s the solidly delicious fast food that you would expect. The Sonic in Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree is no different. The waitresses amble around on roller skates, some clearly better than others, under the desert heat. I think everyone needs to fulfill the little fast food demons in their soul that cry«YOUWANTTOEATHERE. YOUWANTTOTS» and I am always one to give in to my whimsies. Unless you really want to eat a heavy BBQ for a midday meal, then take a break from being authentic and enjoy a Sonic cheeseburger and a root beer float. God knows when you’ll get a chance to enjoy it again, ya tourist.
