Very old school traditional burger, dog, gyro joint. Very clean with«godfather» posters and menu items covering the walls. I loved the specials they have. Under five bux for 2 hot dogs and fries. Cant beat it. Service was very friendly and very quick. My food was hot and ready within 5 minutes of ordering. Id eat here again.

This place is never open. Thought it was out of business but actually seen it open one day when I was doing laundry next door but then it closed at like 6pm. Looks like a dump anyways.

I only come in here in a pinch mostly because the place looks like a dump inside, and can’t always drive far. I also should mention that the only thing I’ve tried are the hot dog and fries for that reason. The guy at the counter has always been nice. That’s the only reason this place is getting two stars. Actually a better way of putting it is he’s always nice to you while he stealing from you. I’ve been here five times for the same order. I always ask for two hotdogs only! I don’t want the fries. Four out of those five times he charges me for the two hot dog with fries special and give me the fries anyways. It may only be a quarter difference but to him that adds up over time. Clearly it’s a scam that he pulls on people regularly I’m sure. The hot dog is okay. One slice of tomato, non poppyseed bun, and today they decided not to put hot peppers on my hotdog. I am so done with this place’s bullshit. I’m never coming back.

Had the Wed. special meatball sandwich to go. Huge meatballs where tasty but to big for bun. Plus recieved no napkins for this messy sandwich that fell apart in my hands. No fork or ketchup for skinny average fries. I may give them another chance. Maybe

Good honest guys making good food, Ask for the pizza puff sandwich not on the menu(I don’t think any way) A pizza puff on garlic bread with homemade red sauce and mozzarella, fantastic.

RJ Munchies is a small Chicago style restaurant right off of 79th street in Justice. When you walk in you’ll find an arcade cabinet, a menu board and a few tables set up on the inside. In visiting RJ Munchies I decided to try the hot dog and fries. The hot dog that I purchased came on a soft non-poppy seed bun. There was a large tomato slice on the dog, it was not large enough to cover the entire dog so that there was no tomato taste in every bite. The same can be said for the pickle, which was shorter than the dog itself. This was a medium sized pickle spear. The good news is that the other condiments were well applied on the dog, though the pepper was a bit hotter than most. The sausage itself was skinless and tasty. Overall this was a slightly above average hot dog. The fries included were thin fries, they weren’t particularly salty or seasoned. They weren’t very greasy either but didn’t stand out. Overall the food at RJ Munchies was about what you would expect from a Chicagoland privately run fast food joint. While I’d say it was above average, it wasn’t far enough above to earn four stars.

I’ve been driving past this place for years without stopping. I’ve always had a favorite hot dog/burger joint that I would go to and was always too scared to try something new. Well, now I live less than 2 minutes away and I’ve finally tried it! This place is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Small tiny waiting area with maybe 4 tables with 4 chairs each. A tall counter where you can barely see the person taking your order. Everyone was very nice and even when I was on the phone with someone reading their menu to them, they waited patiently — Im sure it was because it was early and I was the only one there at the time. The first time I went I got the all beef red hot hot dog and fry. Boyfriend got the all beef chili cheese dog. Both were great! Piled high with lots of condiments it was worth it! We’ve also tried their beef sandwiches and their cheese burgers(with grilled onions of course) as well as their chili cheese fries. I have yet to have any complaint about their food, however I’m not a big fan of how they package the fries. They pretty much just wrap them in paper. I think a bowl with lid would be a much better method. All in all this is one of the best hot dog places in the area and I can’t wait to try more from their menu! Oh, and as of right now they DO accept credit. I wonder if maybe it was broke or they just hadn’t gotten it installed when the previous rater went?

Best Italian beef in Chicago. Also has amazing fries. I have been going to this place for years and have never had a bad meal. The guys(I think they are brothers) that work here are very friendly.

Seriously, best hamburgers in the world! I don’t live close by but every time I’m in the area I have to stop and have one. The bacon double cheeseburger is to die for but even a plain hamburger has the best flavor!!!

I used to pass this place by all the time when I lived around here. Now that I moved 20 miles away I finally made it in. The place is really small. I mean if you open the door to fast you’ll break the back window. It is a greasy spoon in every sence of the word, grease. They have the specials plastered all over the walls. And if you can’t see those, they hand wrote them on pizza cardboard and placed them everywhere else. I had the beef and fry special. I whip out my credit card and they told me no plastic. Even though it has the 4 major credit cards plastered on the door. He told me that I could use the ATM to get cash though. Funny thing about that. It said nothing about it on the outside of the building? Execpt that they have been there since 1988. I guess charging me 8 bucks for a beef and fry wasn’t good enough. The sandwich was tasty and had a lot of juice. They bun held together even though it was soaked. They gave me a basket of fries. Great! But they were blanched. There was nothing left of the potato except the skeleton filled with grease. Rude! I would not come back here. Everybody knew each other anyway. They don’t take kindly to us city folk.
