Smokin Island Tacos

Finally i do wish ono was Maui caught and I wish they had Maui mahimahi. Anyways supporting nice local peeps is good enough for me though :-)

All I can say is… Best $ 5 FISH TACO“S EVER! WOW! Mouth watering and with all the special island taste w/​special homemade MANGO salsa. I believe she makes a different salsa twist everyday. It’s right off of Haiku Center. She is closed on the weekends. So if your ever up this area for a quick bite to eat before hiking or off to your adventures for the day. Mos def! Hit up Island Taco! Great vibe and Great Service! 1 love!

I absolutely love Dickies taco stand, there were times when I ate there almost every day for lunch. The tacos are huge, delicious and for only $ 5 you can’t go wrong! Dickie is a super cool guy with much aloha. I have gotten to know him through my visits, he even hooks me up with a free taco every now and then. If you are in the area definitely stop by the taco stand at the Haiku Market Place. You’ll love it!!!

This taco stand in the parking lot of the Haiku Market Place is not to be missed. It’s not well known, the only reason we found it was that we met 2 local boys on one of our waterfall excursions and they took us there. Hands down the best fish tacos on the island of Maui or any place else for that matter as far as I am concerned. About as simple as it gets the options are fish, pulled pork, and pulled chicken tacos. You pick the beans, black or pinto. They pile on the rest, including cabbage which adds some nice texture, salsa, and cheese. They are open for lunch from 11am to 4pm every day, and I believe they are open for dinner until 9pm on Thursday nights only. Next time you are taking the road to or from Hana or just hanging on the North side of the island, do your stomach a favor and visit Smokin Island Tacos.
