I really truly LOVE this place. It was the first place we stopped for breakfast while enjoying a holiday vacation in December. The parking situation is a little tricky but that is really my only complaint! My fiancé and I ordered two different egg dishes. I got a spinach and feta whole wheat egg wrap and it was so delicious. I loved the fresh fruit on the side. We both ordered coffee as well, and you can’t go wrong with coffee in KONA(the city of Kailua). But, the topper on the cake is the setting of this place. We chose to sit in the patio chairs in the sand. The ocean is just washing around in front of you onto the black pumice rocks and you can casually sip coffee, enjoy the fresh air, and watch all the people taking part in their routine morning activities in the bay(such as swimming, paddle boarding, boating, etc.) It’s so beautiful here. The service we received from the staff was very prompt and polite which makes anyt experience that much better.

Great view & coffee, but WAY over priced! The food was OK, but it was $ 13 for a tiny 2-egg omelet & a croissant. I have seen more fruit on a mai tai garnish than«side of fruit». No free refills on my $ 5 cup of coffee :-/ Bus your own table, too.

A FIVESTARLOCATION slightly overpriced by still a great cup of java with scrumptious scones & muffins that put you in a laid back morning mood. The view is spectacular and the ocean serenade’s you as relax in the sand at a table near the sea wall. The friendly knowledgeable staff provides great service. If you are looking for a better food menu, I recommend Java Lava just up the street. But for the view and Oceanside experience, Java Rock can’t be beat! Run da Java and enjoy the lava Rock Mon!

We loved this place! I see a couple of negative Nancy’s on here… let me help to clear up a comment or two. The Nazi comment about rules… 1. as for the birds… they ask you to please not feed them because it will make a mess! Imagine if everyone fed them! Bird poop with your eggs? No thanks! 2. No cell phones… they are asking for their other guests so we can ALL have a peaceful breakfast experience. We took pictures with out cell phones, no problem. Try stepping outside the doors to have a conversation. Now…the staff… every single day, they were wonderful! Knew what we wanted by
