Friendly owner and quirky things. My favorite kind of place to browse into. We saw lots of things to purchase but didn’t purchase anything sadly, as we are both trying to find ways to get rid of the things we have to make more room for stuff we want. Stop in; prices are good and not outrageous, stock changes often.

Retro is the beez kneez (if bees really had knees)… I love their little shop right off of Westnedge Ave!
Not only do they have great deals, they also give you fair prices when it comes to selling your items to them. When I first moved to Kalamazoo, I lived in a house briefly until my roommate moved out leaving 90% of their household items behind. Mind you, my roommate had lived in this house for 7 years and had somewhat of a hoarding problem, so there was A LOT of stuff left behind.
One of the items was a 50’s lamp, which fueled my visit to Retro. When I brought the lamp in looking to sell it the co-​owner offered me a price lower than what I was looking for. However, he was very nice while listing his reasons and even provided me with a few places in the area where I could possibly receive more for it.
The only thing I could sound off the «tiny finger violin» to is the fact that they’re closed on Mondays & Tuesdays– which always seems to be the days I want to go.

Great antique items. Great service. Friendly staff and owners. You can find the most unusual objects at fantastic prices you never feel like you’re being ripped off there you always feel like you get a great deal.

Cool little shop specializing in 1940 – 1970’s décor. These guys have a lot of taste and offer a lot of unique items. The prices are very fair and everything is in wonderful condition. My wife was super-​excited and it made her smile for the next few hours.
