Just finished dinner here. My son and I each ordered a burger. We were less than impressed, it reminded us both of the regular cheeseburger at McDonald’s. I don’t know when they went from incredible burgers to what is being served now, but if they continue, I doubt there will be very many return guests for the burgers. The waitress was great, attentive and efficient.

Be sure to bring your pillow and a Cot and arrive 2 hours before you are actually hungry I have eaten at this establishment twice and won’t be coming back. Both times were EXTREMELY slow and lack luster. C’mon! You aren’t even busy. I would hate to see the wait on a night you actually are busy For the owner supposedly being a former Park City chef this place does not measure up. If I were him I would check in on this place more often to keep it up to Par As a Park City local I can tell you this place is definitely not up to PC standards Being in a small town with little to no competition is really not an excuse to lower your standards… or is it? Ambience is casual A for presentation of food C for food taste F for speed of service F for the gossiping servers who may want to put their small town ways aside while at work representing the only real restaurant in Kamas I would drive to Heber or Park City for a better dining experience

This place is really good! A friend and I went for lunch and had a garden salad and some chicken strips that we dipped into buffalo sauce. It was fantastic. We sat and visited and laughed and had a great time. Thanks for the great experience!

If I could give negative stars I would ! We waited 45 min for our food and had to ask for it and then they brought something that wasn’t even close to what I ordered! I didn’t have another 45 min to wait for them to make my food! It is a small town so I didn’t have a lot of other options. I just left and will eat in park city. Don’t waste your time at this place ! Super slow service!

After challenging dog walks to lakes near Mirror Lake September 29, we were warmly greeted and promptly allowed patio seating. The menu highlighted chicken fried steak seemed to fit the expended calories. It was quickly prepared, tasty, tremendous in size of serving and boasted accurate seasoning. Veggies were lightly sautéed to perfection and the mashed were too good to be left behind. Lara served with welcoming attention and promptness. Great value. We have reason to return. CJ&J

I went to the Grille a week ago and was VERY disappointed. I have never paid $ 16.00 for frozen, freezer burned undercooked cheese raviolis in my life and then to top that off the waitress forgot about us sitting outside in the dining area and it became very cold outside, we eventually went inside and asked to pay. I have never done a review on a restaurant but this was the worst experience ever. There food is Overpriced, horrible and bad customer service.

We didn’t read the Unilocal reviews for this place until we were already sitting at a table and ordering. Must admit some of the reviews were pretty harsh, but we gave it a go. It wasn’t bad. Although it wasn’t great either. They’re expensive given their menu options and location in a two stop light town. Had their prices been about $ 5 less per entrée Id probably give it a better review. We ordered the chicken piccata and meatloaf. I was kind of surprised the the chicken piccata was served over rice and vegetables — I guess growing up in Boston makes a girl expect that all Italian dishes are served with pasta. The chicken was a little overcooked but had a tasty piccata sauce. My husband really liked the meatloaf. The initial service was a little awkward. But once our waiter acknowledged us is was fine… until we needed our check and to go box. That was a time drag. Overall decent place though.

Despite some pretty disastrous reviews our party of 7 was very happy with the experience for breakfast. Great friendly service. Good took a little time but worth the wait. Grande Burito was legit. Denver on letters loaded with fresh crisp cooked peppers. Kids meals were a little sparse as we had to order sides. 18% gratuity was added because of our party size. But it was a great place and great atmosphere.

Overpriced, poor quality food and poor service, not worth the $ 20 I was charged with an automatic gratuity. If this is the only place people can dine out to in Kamas, Utah, I feel sorry for them. Ps, get another bathroom! And maybe not have it right at the entrance to the kitchen!

Inattentive sloppy service, steak cooked RAW, not medium RARE, pitiful when ownership is not there, and don’t you dare get pissed off when I left you a $ 1.00 tip just because you showed up once at the table and dropped the bill, READ the other reviews, PITIFUL

«Now serving espresso»… Sort of. Took 20 minutes to get a latte and an Americano(after I explained what an Americano was). And was then charged $ 5 each. Not reasonable. Buyer beware: coffee incompetence and price gouging abound.

We stopped in after hiking in Mirror Lake. This is a nice, clean family style restaurant and we had good service. We choose to sit inside but the outside patio looked very appealing. The waitress was very friendly. The have nice carafes of ice cold water and we loved that. I rewarded myself after a long hike, by ordering the speciality of the house — The Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The three nice pieces of golden brown chicken and the mashed potatoes with brown gravy disappeared in no time. I found myself eating the crumbs of crust off the plate. Very tasty and I would go back for that again. The burger was just ok. Sadly many places have opened that specialize in burgers in our town and this one doesn’t hold up. The french fries and fry sauce were tasty. The other tables nearby ordered sandwiches that looked huge and tasty. The meatloaf also looked good. I bet breakfast in that patio room is excellent and will try next time we do an early hike. Hope they have chicken and waffles. Its worth stopping in, if your hungry and in this part of Utah.

Oh, please, Lord, help this restaurant and its incredibly awkward service. I’ve been to Gateway Grille a few times and the food isn’t bad. It’s actually pretty decent, but the service is so awful I felt like I wanted to jump off of a cliff before my meal was over. We started our meal and were brought some water and drinks. Our server then disappeared for a while and then came back to take our dinner orders. One member of my party said they’d like to start with a wedge salad and then ordered an entrée, the next member of my party got a salad and asked for grilled chicken on the side, and I just got a burger. So after we ordered the wedge salad, we noticed it was taking a long time for it to come out. We asked if the salad was being brought to the table before the meal(since that’s what we asked for) and our waitress told us «Well, some people like their salad and their meal at the same time.» Umm, what? Why was she talking back when we asked if the wedge salad could be brought out ASAP? And who says they will start with a salad and then really wants it WITH their meal? So, like 40 minutes later, the rest of the food comes out. The person who ordered the salad is confused because there’s no grilled chicken, and so our waitress says they have to go make the grilled chicken. So, she probably forgot. We got oil and vinegar for the salad which were brought to our table pretty promptly. Then, in the middle of eating, another girl bussing the tables asks us if we’re finished with the oil and vinegar. She had dirty plates in her hand and totally interrupted our meal just so she could get everything out of the way. There was an empty table with oil and vinegar too. Sigh. While the girl was bussing the tables I saw her put dirty forks in the container where they keep their water. Pretty gross. The containers are plastic so it’s pretty hard to sanitize that. If I had to come back I would probably pitch a fit, honestly. The food is good but it’s not worth sitting and being berated by a waitress who clearly doesn’t care about her customers since they’re the only shop in town for dinner. I’d give it one star for service.

A worse cheese burger I’ve never had. We expected a lot from this little hole in the wall. Once inside, they show photos with celebrities and the chef, along with newspaper articles claiming homage to the chef. I am not exaggerating when I say a cheese burger from McDonalds is better than what they served me. It was a frozen pre-made patty that stuffed with non-beef filler on a dry bun with just a dab of cheese. It actually crunched as I bit into this absolutely horrific excuse for a menu item. And a side of Lays Potato chips… at least those were edible! Service was friendly and possibly a bit too familiar. I’m not a fan of the overly-friendly, self confident waitresses you sometimes run into who act like they’ve known you all your life. But I can live with that. If they can’t cook a decent cheese burger, how do you think they’ll handle their Burrito special of the day or a stir fry? AVOID!

This is considered fine dining for this po-dunk town. Prices are high and food is mediocre. Service is hit and miss unless you live there, then most likely, it’s your relative. Space is like a big log cabin.

15MINUTESFROMPARKCITY??? What a jewel in a small town. I was here during the day, so it wasn’t too busy. Yes, just 1 waitress, and while not the fastest, certainly not the slowest. I found the western décor quite enchanting, but then I was married to a cowboy for many years! My cup of chicken noodle soup on the cold day tasted like it came right from the Deer Valley kitchen. And the turkey Panini with cranberries was absolutely scrumptious. But then, if you read the back of the menu, the chef/owner worked at Deer Valley many years. So have I, but since DV has been the around 30 yrs, our paths did not cross. I can most assuredly confirm that this is DV quality food at just about half the price. So worth the short drive over. I just ate at Gateway. You see all the articles giving the restaurant accolades for how great it is. I ordered a hamburger. I was shocked when I got the burger. It was obviously a frozen patty. For a restaurant that is supposed to be as good as Gateway, I was stunned the patty was a frozen patty. The burger was overcooked and had zero flavor. I ordered the onion rings for my side and found out these were frozen, too. I will not eat here again. Overrated isn’t even close. Horrible.

Pretty good food, pretty good service. Just had issues with the kitchen losing tickets. It’s your standard diner fare with some interesting entrees. Got what I thought was going to be a pork chop on the bone, but no bone to be found. The meat was a bit tough, but tasted fine with the port sauce, however, the sauce was a bit on the thick side for me. The chicken soup is decent. I think Jason F. had it right, stick to the burger and fries and I think you’ll be safe and satisfied.
