I had to get new tires for my mothers car and the guys were nice enough to let me leave the car all day so they could fit it in to their busy schedule. I highly recommend making an appointment if you aren’t as flexible, they can get slammed.
Make sure to always check if there are any deals that can save you money and have all your information ready when making the appointment to guarantee the smoothest experience possible.
As for the tire change, zero problems. I was in and out of there quick and it was a great value.

This place is terrible I make a appointment for 8a. Oil change. They got me down for 2p. Unbelievable. Then the agent (Marty) wants to raise his voice with me. This wasn’t the first time. 3−24−16 appointment 7a. Oil change 0nly canceled my lifetime alignment dr. Appointment. @ 1030a. My day off. Finished the oil change 10a. Wow.

I have spent so much money at Firestone that I still feel like I am trying to pay off. On numerous occasions I have gone in for something and have been told they couldn’t fix that but we found something else we can fix. I just can’t bring my self to come here anymore.

Took my car here a week and a half ago for a free brake diagnosis. Took two hours and 45 mins to complete, whatever. Marty who was working the front desk at the time deserves 5 stars. He works so well under pressure with the phone constantly going off and walk-​in customers rolling in. I’m so embarrassed that his good name has to go on a low star review for their mechanics. Marty is the only reason I put an extra star. Thank you for your awesome customer service.
Now for the bad: my car would not start this morning. Now before leaving Firestone after my brake diagnosis, they told me they had checked my fluids (excellent), tire pressure (a little high), oil (good), brakes (obviously need to change), and battery (excellent). Called my AAA guy and had him conclude that my battery was no good! After a frustrating morning, my guy was able to change it and showed me all the corrosion, «swollen» battery, and leak. I’m wondering, why Firestone had told me my battery was in excellent condition??? My boyfriend had told me a day after I got my car back from them that it was acting funny when he’d start it, but I thought it was just him! Of course since these Firestone mechanics are supposed to be pros, I thought I could trust their creditability. Guess not. A battery with a lot of corrosion is not in excellent condition! And no, THAT much corrosion doesn’t just build up within a week that they supposedly took a look at it. I guess they thought since they were really backed up that day, that since I’m not paying anything for their service, that they’d just get rid of me and tell me everything was good except for my obvious complaint of my squeaking brakes. I’m not sure I will return if I can’t even trust the mechanics. I’m happy I didn’t go ahead and make an appt with this location to actually fix my brakes. I’ll be getting them done elsewhere.

Took truck in for safety inspection at Firestone, Kaneohe, Hi at 7am this morning. After 1 hour of waiting, was told safety check is complete but they can’t finalize it bc the «machine» is down. What machine? Told me not their fault, it’s the state. What the heck are they talking about? It is so easy to pass blame on some other office and I start to question whether it is true. Have a feeling the person on staff was late to work and no one else to authorize the inspection. That shop is notorious for finding fault in almost every customer and adds extra charges for menial stuff to make an extra buck!
Continuing my story. Was told they would call me when to return. waited half a day with no update. Had hope I would have ample time to go to work but their lack of customer service and consideration had me waiting for that call. Stopped back in to the shop and questioned status.“ready” and… coincidentally as I’m talking to the mechanic my cellphone is ringing from their shop… probably saw me coming and realized «oops, forgot to call the customer». Went back to shop with truck, waiting in the seating area and called to pay the bill. Told the personnel I wasn’t paying the bill bc of the customer inconvenience. he went off, became obnoxious and started yelling in front of other customers, threatening to call his manager. Manager (think it was Delmar) came and asked what was the problem, told him «you know what happened this morning and I’m not paying this bill», he said «ok, you don’t have to pay for it», takes the bill and appears he threw it in the trash… without asking how to resolve or compromise on the situation. This indicates the manager lacks management skills in customer service and needs to do a better job at counseling his employees. I will not patronize Firestone again, taking my business elsewhere!

Came here out of desperation since their the only one’s that had in stock the one tire I needed. Well when I got there l, they realize that they didn’t have it and had to go to a different location to pick it. Had to wait what can I do at that point. Once I got home after wasting 3.5 hours I thought I felt the car drive to

I had a really good laugh at this one after waiting for my car for 6 hours when I was told it would be done in 3 – 4. Good points: the staff up front were very friendly and apologetic. Especially the woman who had to inform me how much longer it would be for my car. She was very apologetic and was the only reason I didn’t cry or lose my mind. The estimate was the same when I checked out and their were no «add ons» pushed on me.
The bad: The people working in the back, not so much. Every time I peeked back there they seemed to be in no rush at all. I’m no mechanic and I appreciate their hard work (especially when I was told someone called out and they would be backed up all day) but put some lead on it people! I think the communication was off between the two parties. I’ve gone here 2 – 3 times now and I will never go back. Every time they quote you a time it is at least double. I wouldn’t have sat around had I known. I’m glad they are so busy but time is precious and I would have really appreciated being given a realistic time table so that I wouldn’t have wasted my day.

Went here once and probably never going again. Service is extremely slow. Took my jeep in for a battery change and when I got back a lot more was touched than just that.

I had an appt for safety check at 8. At 8:35, they call to tell me I need to replace a bulb for my license plate. Couple days ago my husband broght his truck there safety check and was told the same thing. Really? Is that light bulb thing for real or coincidence. Started to make me wonder. I never knew that would fail an inspection. So I wait for 20 min for them to change the bulb, car still not done. I end up going outside because I could no longer handle the smell from the rubber and what do I see? My car sitting there, no one working on it or anything. I wait another 5 min and decide to go back inside and ask if it was done cause it was just sitting there. Of course, the car was done. Who knows how long it’s been sitting there. The guy that was taking care of the cars outside was eating. What you couldn’t send the paper work inside so you can get your customers going before you started eating. To to top it off, they told me my tire treads were low and it would pass but I would have to change them soon and asked if I wanted to take care of that today. Of ciursr I said no. When I got home, looked at my tires and they arent even close to being low. Just trying to get me to spend money over there. Yea, im a female but im not stupid.

They may be open until 7pm but they stop being helpful at 5pm. Don’t bother going after that. They’ll either rush you out so fast you can’t even understand what they’re saying or they will lie to get you to leave. FIVE mechanics there and not one knows how to drain gas from my car? Bullshit. They just wanted to go home.

When we started going here we used to get good service. Recently, we have been treated badly and even get attitude from some of the counter staff. This weekend we were given the wrong information and by one team member and then treated poorly by another team member. All staff should be giving customers the same correct information in a respectful way. They don’t seem to care that they have lost one customer in our family as they seem to feel they are the only game in town. I suggest to firestone they take a serious look at their staff and make some drastic changes. After this recent experience and reading so many bad reviews, we will be looking for alternatives even if we need to drive further.

I go to Firestone all the time, but I sadly admit it is because I don’t know where else to go. I just spend almost $ 600 on something I didn’t even take it in for. They couldn’t diagnose the original problem and with how much I spent I am still hear problems with my car. I sadly feel like $ 600 wasn’t worth it, I felt like I spend that money on nothing. I feel like this every single time I go to firestone but until I find a auto care shop that can actually fix my car problems without spending an arm and a leg, I don’t know where else to go.

I walked in for a safety check and left my car there. 2 hours for an unscheduled safety check is what I expected and those expectations were met. I feel as if the new safety check system in Hawaii has made it more difficult on mechanics to do safety inspections where they are always booked. However fitting one in doesn’t seem to be a problem here. I know other mechanics won’t take you unless you have an appointment.

***RIP OFF****FRAUDULENT WORK****I dropped my car off for a simple oil change, a/​c cabin filter change, and engine filter change. I’ve never had any problems with my car since purchasing it, and the only maintenance it’s ever needed was the oil change every 3,000 miles. Over 3+ hours later, the car was ready. Between time to pick up the car, they call and tell me that I have several lights (break, license plate, etc) that are out! These lights were not out prior to my coming in for the oil change. That should have been the red flag for me at that point. I declined the offer to have the «lights’ changed. Once I picked up my car it seemed fine. I only drive 2 days a week, so I didn’t realize there was another issue. About a week later, several lights came on in my car, including the oil light. Apparently, the oil was drained from the car, but was never put back in. My car was sputtering on the freeway, and I had to have someone else check the car. How could the oil possibly be empty within a matter of weeks of getting an oil change? I believe that they are causing issues within the cars of customers that they deem either unimportant or may possibly have the means or lack of knowledge to keep returning to their facility. I am more than upset, and will be filing this complaint with the BBB, as well as Firestone Corporation.
UPDATE: I took my car into another facility this am. The car was completely empty, as far as oil, because the oil filter had not been put on properly, nor had the necessary parts been tightened and replaced properly. Also, I was promised by firestone to have all the fluids topped off as a courtesy, but all the fluids were empty. Regarding the «break light» issue, there is absolutely no issue whatsoever with my lights. I was advised by that facility that there could be damage to the engine block, or a possible engine fail, as I was driving with NO OIL… due to the negligence of the Firestone Kaneohe facility. Do not bring your car here.

Was advised and given the service best suited to the needs of my vehicle, rather than the services offered through a promotion I had chosen initially, and ended up saving money.

UPDATE (or not):
Well, it has been almost two weeks since our original experience and 10 days since receiving the second email from Bryan @ Firestone apologizing for the lack of response from their office and assuring me that someone from their Senior management team will contact me in «24−48 hours».
YEAH RIGHT!

Good thing I didn’t hold my breath… I really wasn’t expecting any resolution but at least they could have made an attempt to contact us.
On a final note, the car experienced very sudden coolant problems last week which caused major overheating and a wrecked engine. Hmmm… well, 48 hours later, we got a new car so at least SOMETHING really CAN happen in 48 hours if you actually take action. LOL

I’ve come to Firestone Kaneohe for years. I’ve dabbled at other service areas in between but always come back here. My vehicle always is taken care of, attention to detail is obvious. The rates are comparable and coupons are available, just ask or look online.
I’ve got two sets of tires here, affordable and comes with a maintenance package. Service like oil changes are quick and easy, and unlike other places or dealerships they usually remember to put the new oil change sticker on your windshield.
There is a wait for check in, and an even more extended time for service. My only complaint. I Should be comped for how long you take after your appointment time that you actually get checked in. Right now I am 40 minutes and counting. Long enough to write this review for my 10 am appointment.
The results are always positive here in my experiences for more than ten years, but waiting is getting old.

I admit that I don’t know that much about cars. When it’s time for a Safety Check, I make an appointment and bring my car here because I know that they are honest and reliable.
It’s conveniently located in Kaneohe town, next to Times Supermarket. It has free Wifi, a clean restroom and small waiting area with a television. There are also some magazines and newspapers to help you pass the time!
The service is efficient and pleasant. Bonus: get 5 percent off when you use the Firestone credit card! If you don’t have an account yet, open one and get 10 percent off!
After the 5 percent discount, my safety check = $ 18.24. Took about one hour. The recommendations are provided on a print out. I appreciate the suggestions!

I got my 2 tires changed for our van and the service was quick except for the part where I had to wait for my tire to be delivered. But that was ok since I was off that day and have time to wait and eat some delicious poke at Times.
I wish they had a table in the waiting room and the tv stand is to tall for the tv. Everything else is good, the technicians, service managers and the cashiers are all great workers!
People I know y’all get mad waiting for your cars to be fixed and they take so long and it’s a waste of your day. But hay if you can do it faster and do multiple cars at once then you better do it yourself. One technician is usually working on multiple cars on a busy day to make every customer happy. So just chill and you will get your car serviced on as fast as possible.
I’d recommend technician Jordan or Jon since Jordan is a master tech and Jon is as good and they know what they are doing. So if your car need to do a big job on it if request either of them.
Tech Ano is very fast in tires if you request him to do your tires.
Tech’s Bryce, Cody and Tyson are all good techs and equal in speed.

Find an alternative car service provider. This location is unreasonably slow. It does not keep set appointments and cannot complete basic services timely. Management is lacking…
Come here if you want to spend all day waiting for an oil change.
