The food/breakfast was actually very very good. I had a very hard time finding a good breakfast place and this was great. The place wasnt beautiful but it was ok. I would definitely visit them again if I’m in the island again.

Wow! Reviews are accurate the macadamia nut pancakes w coconut syrup are off the hook! Do not pass this place up for breakfast! Almost 30 years old, family owned since day one. Excellent service and nice servers. Loved it!!! We split the large order-two and a half pancakes was plenty!

From what I’ve seen they mostly serve up prostitutes. Kind of small, lots of people hanging outside. Too young.

This is our favorite spot for breakfast. The food is delicious… I’ve had the banana pancakes every time cause I just can’t break away from a good thing. Mom is more of a risk taker and has really enjoyed the eggs Benedict, a bacon and eggs breakfast and the corned beef hash. The coffee is free and flowing and the atmosphere is busy yet very homey. Best breakfast in Kaneohe!

Visited on a Saturday morning about 11am. We got the last available table before they started a wait list. Servers were bustling around and were attentive to ordering and delivery of food(and topping off coffee). Prices weren’t super high or low, about what you would expect. We got eggs Benedict and blueberry pancakes, which were both solid. What you would expect from a café style place. I would say this is a solid place for breakfast if you are in the area, nothing out of the ordinary. I liked the closer booth style seating, they definitely utilized all the space available. Might be hard to get seating together for a larger group. Parking lot was small, we had to park on the street.

I had the Vina D’alhos(had no idea what it was), and LOVED it. The meat was perfectly cooked. Wife had the strawberry pancakes with coconut syrup and they were also great. She had the short stack, which was still way too much food. Service was mediocre at best, but it’s still worth stopping at because of the food.

The food is not bad, but not worth the money. Cost nearly $ 40 for my boyfriend and I to eat breakfast. We ordered and omelet, banana pancakes, sweet bread french toast, and a side of bacon. The omelet barely had enough cheese to hold the toppings in, the banana pancakes were light, but had a slight artificial taste. I loved the sweet bread french toast, but $ 9 for three small pieces. I also liked their bacon, but $ 5.50 for fives pieces is ridiculous.

Complete ripoff! I just spent $ 15 for 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 Portuguese sausage, 2 pork sausage, 2 slices of toast, and a cup of coffee… and there was nothing special about my food! Soooo disappointed! Never ever EVER coming back here!

I went here for the first time with my dad for breakfast. It was crowded but we surprisingly didn’t have to wait. We actually waited in the parking lot for a car to pull out of a stall for over 5 minutes, which took longer than it did inside to be seated and brought water. I ordered the fried rice and Portuguese sausage with an egg over easy. I was surprised at the huge mound of rice(I ate maybe half of it) and I’m happy to say I have leftovers to eat it all again! The atmosphere inside feels like a homey diner: on a side note, it doesn’t seem too great for a group over 4 people because it’s just booth style seating and it is a little loud inside. Also not recommended for elderly because the walkways are very narrow and I saw that a woman’s wheelchair couldn’t fit through the walking space so she had to stand up from her wheelchair to get to the booth.

We come her quite a bit for breakfast and brunch. Today I was very impressed with the efficiency of our server and the staff. We sat down and a couple min later our server was ready to answer any menu questions and take our order. Since we were already familiar with the menu, we ordered the usual. I had eggs Benedict with home potatoes and a side of tomatoes. I also ordered the banana pancakes. Hubby got his medium rare steak with over easy eggs and fried rice. Everything tasted good and I got my eggs Benny fix on. We were in a rush and I’m happy that this visit was fast and yummy. Literally in and out In 35 min! We will be back next week

Stopped in for breakfast at 730 on a Wednesday while waiting for a safety inspection at Lex Brodie’s. I’ve been here with the family multiple times, but only on weekends when the wait is long and the dining feels rushed and hectic. This is a totally different experience. It was busy but not crowded, so I was able to relax a little and enjoy my meal. Service was friendly and efficient(thanks Dee!). I ordered the link sausage with sunny side up eggs and fried rice. Nothing fancy, but well cooked, tasty breakfast standards. A little pricy at $ 18 with an iced tea, tax and tip, but it felt like your old school morning coffee joint. Nice way to start the day. I saw a hand written sign in the window that said they have 10% senior discount Tue-Thu 630−800am, so there were a lot of seniors this morning. I’m happy with my visit and will make an effort to come by on weekday mornings more often.

The food is really good and you get a lot for your money. If you get the pancakes, order the short stack, they are huge. Not a lot of parking and good luck trying to find a spot on the street.

The staff is ok. The food is bland. They told me they don’t season it. I can’t understand why. That’s the whole job, isn’t it? To serve food that has been prepared? Anyway, it means you have to use a ton of condiments to make it edible. They charge extra for some of the condiments. The pancakes are fluffy but you pay extra for toppings that they barely use. For instance, the blueberry pancakes have maybe 5 berries per cake. My husband is allergic to blueberries but helped me finish my order without a problem… That’s how few blueberries were actually in them. The décor is outdated and totally random, as you will see in my photos. The place could use a good scrub down. The chandelier is filthy.

This was the first and last time I will eat here. We just found a place to eat since it was close by and I was starving. Potatoes were not seasoned. Adding salt, pepper and ketchup didn’t make it taste any better. The denver omlette was alright, I needed to add pepper, ketchup and tabasco to give it some flavor. Parking: Really small parking lot enough to fit about ten cars, other than that you need to find street parking or park at the ASB lot next door. Service: It was fairly quick but they delivered our food to the wrong table and the patrons on that table had to alert the waitress to tell her that they didn’t order that.

We just so happened to be down the road from this place so why not go while we’re here. Seems like when I find a dish I like I’m usually sticking to it to avoid possible disappointment as in case with the Vina D’alhos. I love this dish and can never pass it up. This Portuguese dish has that vinegar flavor to it that does wonders to the palat. The Eggs Benedict and home fried potates are excellent as well. The hollandaise sauce was really good too. There was a short wait time after ordering and our waitress kept our coffee and water topped off. The only thing that changed about this place was the name. Same interior with the same booth seating that I like. Finding parking is another thing that didn’t change. It’s very limited when its busy. Customer service was great. Our waitress Kalena checked in on us now and then without being too attentive. I always find that a plus when its like that. Definitely a great place to grind when your on the windward side.

Great Comfort Food! Breakfast and pancakes are really good. Lot’s of free Parking on Street, but minimal parking in front of the Restaurant, no biggie. The restaurant is a nice mom and pop establishment, nothing fancy just good food. Avoid ordering Fruit Punch, unless you like the cheap Luau Punch that’s served at most Graduation Parties. All in all it’s good place to eat in Kaneohe.

Great neighborhood breakfast/lunch spot! We ate here twice on our visit to Oahu, once on our way up to the North Shore and once on our way back a few days later. The service was fast and friendly. Both times we got lucky and got a table right away! This place gets busy and only has a tiny parking lot… The food was really good. I sampled the blueberry pancakes and ham-and-cheese pancakes from the breakfast menu. The ham and cheese pancakes were very interesting. The ham was mixed into the batter and the cheese was melted on top, def unique! I also had the chicken teriyaki plate lunch and it was the best one I had all week. The chicken was charred and flavorful and consisted of nice trimmed/lean thigh cuts(if you can believe that)! The sticky rice and mac salad were on point as well! The prices are pretty good for Hawaii. I would def recommend this place! I hope to return someday!

Had a really good breakfast here! It’s a chain restaurant here in Hawaii but this one seemed to be different from the usual – better! It’s a small shack but has a very woodsy-jungle tree house feel to it if that makes any sense at all. We ordered 3-stack blueberry pancakes and the florentine Benedict. Loved the blueberry pancakes – typical flour pancakes but on the fluffier side and best thing about it is they use real blueberries. I’ve seen places that use the fruit syrup… no bueno. Not here. They also have the option of haupia syrup for pancakes – so very delicious! My husband got the florentine but I wasn’t a huge fan. I wish we got the salmon eggs Benedict instead cause I’ve had that before here and it was superb. Service was great no problems there. Overall, it’s a surprisingly great breakfast spot!

I was here a few weeks ago on a Saturday, & it was hopping! There were lots of families with kids… having fun and enjoying their weekend together. It was energetic and noisy! Today is Friday. .it’s mellow with a guy quietly reading the paper; a few couples; a corner table with an animated toddler. . I like the homey feel with the brown wooden walls and open beamed ceiling. There are knick knacks on the ledge, artificial floral arrangements here and there, & paintings on the wall. The food is your standard basic breakfast favorites. The specials today are Ham & Cheese Pancake; ox tail soup, Corned Beef Hash Loco, Chicken Curry Soup, and many more. Need to return and try the Peanut Butter Chip Pancake! Remember to come early for better parking in the lot or street parking. Also… note the recent name change to Kaneohe Pancake House to distinguish from the other pancake houses. It’s due to online ordering and take out menu purposes they tell me.. each restaurant has a different menu! Enjoy!
