So I finally decided to eat at this IHOP. I came to Windward Mall to check out the Farmers Market and was looking for a place to eat lunch. I’ve eatenbat the IHOP on Ala Moana in the Aqua Palms Hotel, so I wanted to see how this one compared. I think this one compared quite favorably. So upon as walking in, I am greeted ny one of their servers. The server seemed really happy and cheerful. Anyway, she led me to my table, and I proceeded to order. I ordered a large orange juice, mozzarella sticks, and the country fried steak(used to be called chicken fried steak, don’t know why they changed the name). Anyway, my orange juice and mozzarella sticks arrived first. The mozzarella sticks were great, with the thing still hot and the cheese melted and stringy. The mozzarella sticks come with a side of marinara sauce, which was also good. Then my country fried steak arrived. It looks really good with a side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. But the thing I like is how they are really generous with the country gravy. They just drown the country fried steak in it. The country gravy just puts it over the top. Overall the meal was very good. I would have to give this place four stars. I think the place met my expectations. The place in clean, with friendly attentive staff and the food is good too. It’s just too bad that as I am writing this review, 9÷1÷14 will be their last day of business. So I guess this will be my first and last time eating at this location. I wish the staff of the Windward Mall IHOP the best of luck in finding a job elsewhere and a thank you for making my first and last dining here a great one.

We had boycotted this location for over a year due to consistently bad service and poorly maintained facilities. We finally decided to go back and thankfully it was a better experience. The service was much better– more attentive and waitstaff appearance was clean and professional. The tables and syrup bottles were clean– no trails of ants along the wall and booths anymore. The manager came around to see that everything was satisfactory. The food was prepared correctly and quickly. I’m pleased that they have made improvements and that we can frequent them again. The unlimited refills on certain drinks are a plus– especially when they bring refills regularly. The omelette is huge, enough to share. We use a discount card for 20% off each time– great deal and no restrictions. Thank you IHOP for improving your service!

Just left this place without eating. Entered thru the mall entrance and got to the hostess stand just before another party that entered thru the parking lot entrance. Stood in line with our family and the manager asked how many in our party and took my name. Then told us it would be a few minutes. We then overheard him say«gonna help these people who were here first» and proceeded to seat the party behind us right away. We decided to leave and told them we changed our mind. My husband told the manager«by the way they weren’t first».

Now I know why this place is rated the way it is. I think I’d have better service at McDonalds. The waitress brings the boys their drinks and flies the straws to the table. Uhh okay? She also dropped our plates onto the table. My husband got the steak tips and eggs… is it supposed to be sweet? Anyway I don’t have much to complain about the food since it’s breakfast and you can’t really mess that up. As I got to the cashier ready to get the heck out of there I hear the manager(I suppose) saying«Hello?! Helloooo?!! HELLOOO?!! HELLOOOO!!! Go to the cashier… you’re going to be cashier today» Ughhhhh!!! How can you talk to your employee that way. No wonder everyone looked so pissy this morning and we figured out why our waitress got«Employee of the Year» despite her throwing the dishes and straws onto the table she’s a bit more chipper than the rest. I felt bad for that employee. She had menus in hand and ready to seat customers. Definitely won’t be back here again.

Mediocre overpriced breakfast/American food. Horrible service! Slow and inaccurate waiters every time. Everything is greasy and processed. Absolutely disgusting way to start your day. Even the«healthy» options are bad. Even their coffee sucked. Just skip it all together.

Look, it’s an IHOP. Don’t get your underwear in a bunch if the service is slow, or the tables are sticky, or freak out at the mediocre food. It’s an IHOP. Now that that’s out of the way, all four stars go to the kid waiting my table today, although overall service was slow, he was considerate/trained well enough to say«pardon my reach» as he served/cleared dishes. Besides that, it’s located in Kaneohe, Hawaii. How cool is that? Pancakes on the windward side of Hawaii. Enjoy!

Ihop windward mall…3/25/147pm
So I went dentist and after I went shopping at the mall… feeling a bit hungry I went to Ihop, I like their pot roast. The host sits me. In front of me there are 2 tables one of them wobbly as heck. My meal comes… meal looks on the smaller size, but eh… I was Jonesin for some pot roast… upon my fist bite, SALTY!!! I really didn’t like it but oh well I ate it anyways. The Manager… the manager walks past. I say… excuse me, sorry brah… «eh whats up with this table?»(as I shake it side to side he see something is wrong with it) he points to the other table infront of me, 2 tables side by side. His responce was… Oh when we sit 1 person… they use this table as he points to the stable one… ??? what did I just hear? a manager… saying? OMG… so what if some hot coffe spilt form that unstable table to scald someone… They not pose to use… that side of the table! I then mention to him that the gravy for the pot roast was salty… LOL he say… we just made it tonight… I didn’t ask when it was made. Stewpid people!!! NOMOAIHOP for MEH!!!

4 stars all for Kaui. I’m actually surprised to be rating Ihop pretty high, seeing that they have such bad reviews. The food was pretty standard. I got 2 sausage links, pancakes, and 2eggs, my cousin had French toast and bacon and my mom had a sampler platter which had breakfast meats, eggs, and pancakes. Everything tasted alright. something I could whip up at home with no fuss. Our server was extremely good. Very attentive, friendly, all the things you wish a server would be but unfortunately your luck runs out. Since there isn’t very many places to eat breakfast in Kaneohe, wait can be a little long. I remember having to wait up to 45mins, yesterday we only waited 15. Kudos!

The service has always been good to me here. Possibly because it’s Kaneohe side instead of Waikiki. Waitresses are always super nice, usually local and they’re always very proactive. It may get busy from time to time, especially with all the little kids and babies screaming like they need an exorcism(and of course the parents who just sit back and ignore them while they yell bloody murder) but the staff does a decent job in serving people, cleaning tables, prepping them for the next set of customers, and overall delivering good service and balancing everything. I’ve never had any issues here, all meals have been within a timely manner and cooked right. By far my favorite IHOP to go to!

Usually my experiences here are always pretty crappy. Mostly because of the service. But if you have a choice I would recommend sitting in Brianna’s area — best waitress I have ever had while eating here. Made this experience a lot better than the previous experiences here. ^^

Busy, Busy, Busy! Time has been good to the Windward Mall IHOP in Kaneohe. This place is really jumping now. The food is still good and things are running smoothly. Menu: New menu since my last visit. Me: Garden Omelet. I chose the pancakes instead of hash browns. I liked this because it was not too bad on the calories and fat. It tasted good too. It was $ 14.95. Wife: Spinach Mushroom Crêpe with Hollandaise Sauce. She ended up eating half my pancakes. Daughter: Cinnamon French Toast. Sort of like a Cinnabon flavored French toast. She loved it! These were all good. I tried some of each dish and was pleased with the quality and flavor. Nutrition: Just like many west coast restaurants, the calories are listed for many of the items. Lots of health conscious menu options. Many customers are looking for this. There are plenty of high carb high fat selections too. Don’t worry about that. There are lots of smaller portion child and senior selections too. Prices: Yup, the prices are up. But, prices are up everywhere on Oahu. So i don’t think they are too far out of line. I don’t know for sure but there seems to be a pricing strategy at work on this menu. Seems like they are trying to steer customers away from ordering a rock bottom price breakfast. On the other hand, if you are a child or a senior there are some great deals available. Military? Use your ID for a discount. Service: Lean staffing but they had the A team on when we were there! Hostess, Cashier, Water glass filler, table setter and supervisor(one and the same person) was in charge and it showed. The waiters and waitresses were all well trained and focused on customer service. I was impressed. There was also one person just for bussing tables. Being curious, my wife decided to walk into the kitchen to see how many people were working. She saw only one cook! Food came out quickly and like I said the place was busy on a Friday night. We liked it and we’ll be back.

I have never been so disappointed with IHOP. I came here with my boyfriend and a couple of our friends to celebrate a birthday. We wanted to start off the day with a great breakfast so we decided to go to IHOP. Oh how I wished we went someplace else. When we got there, the place was packed. That’s normal though because we went during breakfast time and we were seated within 10 minutes. We got stuck in a hidden back corner of IHOP. It took about 10 minutes for a waiter to even show up and give us water. It had been raining that morning and it was hot and muggy. Usually water is the first thing they bring out, but we ended up waiting. When the server finally came she asked us about our orders. When we started to order we asked her to replace some of the sides for rice instead of the hash. She said OK and she’ll make sure that we get our rice. My friend also asked if we could have a plain waffle instead of their specialty waffle because it was too sweet. The server kept telling us we have to choose a specialty waffle and that we had no option other than to get one. At the Aiea IHOP, they let us substitute our food easily with no hassles. I couldn’t understand how one IHOP let us replace something with another while another IHOP refused to do so. We weren’t even allowed to order the waffle with the toppings on the side.

So I had planned a day of relaxation — take my mom and niece out to have breakfast then catch a movie. Well after seeing those IHOP commercials we wanted to try the new Brioche French Toast that they have so off we went to Windward Mall. upon arriving we sat and waited outside for approx. 20 – 25 minutes. As usual if you’ve ever been to this location, only about a third of the tables actually had diners. So we finally get our name called and are led to our table — finally I can get some food, I thought. Then again the waiting began… no water or coffee, just the menus given us when we were seated so I sat there struggling with my decision on what to eat for the 10th time already. Finally after another 20 minute wait and no coming to give us some coffee or at least water we decided to leave. I guess if you plan to go here you should plan for it to take you a couple of hours but the looking at the other tables the food looked good. So if anyone has tried the Brioche French Toast lmk as they may not get the chance to try it.

We decided to give them another try. We had an amazing waitress named Kris. We told her what happened and she went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Then JOHN remembered us and came by to personally apologize and he bought our lunch. It is really great when businesses make things up to customers. We went from loving IHOP to not wanting to go there, to loving it again. A great example at how we should always give businesses another try, that most want to do right by their customers.

I have never been compelled to write a bad review of a location, but the time wasted at this restaurant was too much. To begin, I considered a couple of locations for breakfast this morning and settled on IHOP because my family likes the pancakes. I tried calling from my cell and home phone but the line was busy. So I got my stuff and drove down. That wasn’t a big deal. Now to compare: when I call Zippys the food is done in ten minutes, so I didn’t expect to be at IHOP longer than that. I just got home after waiting thirty minutes for my food. The food must have been ready and waiting for a while because the butter was completely melted when I opened the bag and my drive home was only Five minutes. I don’t think I would have minded the wait if the lady who ordered after me had waited just as long, but she was gone in ten minutes. Then there was an older lady who was waiting for two pancakes and she got it in five minutes with the hostess kindly apologizing to her for the wait. There was no sense of urgency about my order. There was no first in first out system to the take out orders. No one even checked on me. I’m pretty patient about things, but I find it intolerable when I am left waiting while people behind of me are treated with more urgency. Is my business not needed at this establishment? If that is so, then I will take my business elsewhere.

Ate here for breakfast and the server that I had was so rude! The server we had was KENNETH, an older local asian waiter who was not friendly at all. We sat down and Kenneth gave us our menus. He didn’t even have the decency to introduce himself as our waiter. Anyways, he asked us what we wanted to drink, so we just asked for water. When Kenneth gave us our water, he slammed it on our table. Seriously? I was already turned off… then we took our order which we felt so rushed. Ughhhhh. We finally get our food which was pretty good, but breakfast food is breakfast food. Who can’t cook bacon and eggs? We finally ask for our check and he practically flew it at us. I was livid at this point. Never had such bad service ever!

We were hungry! We wanted food before work so we ate here. Service wasn’t that good. It wasn’t as busy, yet it was slow. They also made a mistake with our friend’s food. There were those special values on the menu. Which was gooooood!

The food is typical chain restaurant greasy breakfast. Not very good. Service was ok, but I don’t think this place is managed very well. While we were there, there were friends of employees with kids running around the restaurant. They actually brought in outside food and were eating it inside the restaurant. When I was paying the bill, i had a coupon. The cashier didn’t know how to apply it and took a few minutes futting around on the POS trying to figure it out. A line started to grow behind me. After a few more minutes she said, «I gotta go ask aunty how fo do this», which I assumed was the manager. She came over and showed her how. After finishing my transaction(there was about 2 –3 people waiting to pay), she yells over to another employee«eh(name), try come i goin go smoke». I see the people behind me roll their eyes. I walk out laughing…

Of all the IHOPs located in Hawaii, I chose to come to this one, especially when there is one in Waikiki. Oh well, I guess that’s cool. The craziness of Windward Mall food court was crowded, so I decided to just eat here and just quiet the stomach before heading out to Haiku Stairs later that afternoon. The restaurant is known for serving breakfast 24/7, so that’s what had drawn me to this place in the first place. Intitally, IHOP was kind of loud from all those patrons who were busy eating. There was a short wait, but I didn’t mind, so I just waited along with the others for a table. It was about 10 minutes after, when i was shown an open table. The hostess was nice, but I can tell that she was tense, but I guess that’s what the territory was. Even if it was lunch time, I got to partake in the breakfast menu and that was awesome. Not many restaurants can do that for you, so IHOP was the perfect choice for me that day. The server who waited on me was polite and the service was average. The foot itself was average. I guess I could have gotten better with McDonald’s, but I guess I was fooled to think that this place can be better than McDonald’s. I do like the sit-down atmosphere of IHOP, but I guess the pricing of $ 10+ for each entrée can be pricey in itself too. Portion sizes are decent, but I am not complaining too much. I liked the service, but it took too long to get me the check. I estimated about waiting about 10 minutes after the server took my plate to ring my check up. That’s a bit too much, but I guess being busy can be an excuse. I had the big steak omlette, which was tasty and good. Overall, this place is good, but there are better alternatives in Kaneohe for breakfast /brunch. B–

We ate here on January 1, 2012. Our first meal of the new year! The wait to be seated was a whopping 2 minutes! How awesome is that?!(: Our server was really good and gave us great service! Our refills kept coming and coming. We didn’t even have to ask! A manager and couple other servers checked on our table making sure we were okay. The food is okay. Portions are decent size. Prices are kinda high. I was surprised that our bill came out to ALMOST $ 70 for just 3 of us! I had the country fried steak. One of my favorite dishes from Denny’s, Chili’s and here.(IHOP is the best) ;) I love the taste of that hint of spiciness in the meat and the country gravy. It came with 2 eggs, hash brown, and hotcakes. Their hotcakes are so good! So moist and fluffy! They have 4 different types of syrups to choose from. Boysenberry, strawberry, old fashioned, and maple. The BF had the big steak omelet which was really BIG! He did complain that there was very little steak but it was tasty. His also came with hotcakes. But he paid the extra cost to make it a strawberry banana hotcakes. He liked it. To me it looked too sweet! The burrito was so «big» that he couldn’t finish it(he’s a big eater) and ended up taking home a doggy bag. This location is located in Windward Mall. Perfect for having breakfast before a shopping spree, or lunch after your shopping spree. The best part about it is that they serve breakfast ALL day!(:
