Applebee’s

Went there Saturday night. We wondered why it was so dead at the restaurant; after our experience I’m betting I know why. First, waitress was less than attentive to the requirements of her job. Didn’t seem to take anything too seriously, especially when our orders were screwed up. Ordered two sweet teas, both came to us unsweetened. Ordered from the 2 for $ 20 menu and got one of the salads to go because the second person didn’t want a salad or appetizer; both salads showed up before any other food in to go containers and a sack. Wanted to play games on the handheld while we were waiting for our food; wouldn’t connect to wifi. When we brought it to server’s attention, she said they never connect at the booth we were sitting at. (Then why is one sitting on the table?) Vegetables on my fiancé’s meal were mushy, my BBQ seasoned fries had so much seasoning on them I couldn’t eat them.
We were hoping this Applebee’s would be better than the one in Stanley KS by our house, as we have had numerous problems with that one, but alas, it was not to be. I think Applebee’s is going to have to be written on my list of places to avoid.

I grabbed lunch during a work day and sat at the bar. The bartender was very helpful and friendly! I appreciated Andrea’s excellent service. I got the Cedar Plank salmon and I was very surprised at how delicious it was. Will be back!

Unfortunately i can only rate two stars. I took my mom and her friend at lunch and there wasnt even 10 people in there but it took them over 30 minutes to bring us salads! These were seniors and they can’t wait like that. There was NO reason to be so slow that I could see.

It’s Applebee’s…the service was decent but their food is just ehhhhh… I mean you know…

Not really big on this type of place but, we have been 2 or 3 times and it’s not bad at all. Dinner is fine for the money. Appetizers are really good and deserts are as well. Also, the service is friendly enough to get this place 4 stars this time around.
Overall, if it’s a weekend and the place you wanted to go is full, this is a pretty good backup plan.

I quite like Applebees for lunch and for stops on road trips and this is my local one! Have had lunch there a couple of times recently. The lunch deals are worth going for, in particular the soup and salad all you can eat. It’s actually one of the best values on the lunch menu even if you don’t keep eating and eating!
Personally the décor is nice, restaurant always clean and people very friendly. Too many TVs for my taste (although I get that it’s a bar too) but this is true of most places I go into. Music too loud for lunchtime business conversation but again, that might be because business lunches are not the primary customer.
All in all definitely worth checking out — varied menu, good value and specials that (I think) change quite frequently.
