Visiting from out of town and they place was great. They can handle reservations of any size and split bills how ever you need. Our table indulged in a lot of the signatures, but I stuck with the brussels sprouts and chopped cob salad. Both were more than filling and exciting. Great service and atmosphere. Will go again and you should too!

Wife and I came here for Valentine’s Day and I am pretty sure I got food poisoning from it. Ordered two appetizers, a burger and beer each, and split an order of tots. I got the Steakhouse burger cooked medium-well. It tasted pretty good and didn’t appear to be undercooked, but now it’s the next day and I’ve got chills, body aches, and can’t be away from a toilet for more than 30 minutes. The menu said the steakhouse burger is made from ground up steak formed into a burger patty, so I am guessing it was probably a cheap, mechanically tenderized steak that was contaminated from the mechanical tenderization process, fairly common in cheap supermarket quality steaks. Total bill with 20% tip was almost $ 90. Overall not worth it at all. Be careful what you order here if you don’t want to spend literally an entire day on the toilet.

First time here and not impressed. Had the S and P burger and not impressed at all. Fries were good. Service was ok.

I feel like creative burgers is a fad right now. Here’s hoping it has staying power. The fare is reasonably priced, and there are so many options it’ll make your head spin. Even non-beef or non-meat choices. Wash it down with a cocktail, a beer, or wine, and head across the street to catch a show. Oh, and make sure you get the truffle tots.

A pretty decent burger place, and a good lunch spot downtown. The food… I think the juicy lucy is probably the way to go, but the«Number 3» has been a new find and may become my next regular. The brioche bun definitely makes it a bit more unique than the other burgers. BRGR aims to be a gourmet burger joint, and it does a decent job. I sometimes think it tries a little too hard. For instance, they have their own ketchup; however, I think I’d enjoy traditional heinz just as much or rmore in some cases. They also offer three types of fries(regular, truffle, and sweet potato). The venue… very convenient location in the middle of the P&L district. There’s a nice patio, but not heated, so unusable during winter. Seating as ample here, and there’s some bar seating as well if you’re just there for a beer and a quick bite. Overall… decent, but nothing I’m super impressed by.

Stopped in for a quick drink before going go another place where we had plans. To be honest, I just had a drink, and it was perfectly made. Three friends who were with me told me their was too and we all had different drinks. Two of them ordered food and reported they would give it a four. The ambience was perfect, place was very clean, staff were polite and very attentive. I am looking forward to bringing a date here for a night out.

Considering I’m vegan, my opinion is a little jaded. The veggie burger themselves are unfortunately not very good, lack of flavor and dry. Although, the fries are awesome and their chips+guac. Service is friendly, I hear their actual burgers are really good. So wouldn’t recommend for veg community, but carnivores definitely will love it.

Over price for a burger, no sides. My med-well burger was charred… Both times. The first burger went back bc I found a nice long white hair. The 5 onion rings ordered as a side were $ 7. They were good but not that good. Come on, it’s a slice of onion with breading. Long story short, this is a place for the hipsters to hang out and congratulate each other on their feelings of the newest social injustice.

In town for business, saw the reviews on Unilocal and thought I’d try for lunch. I was really excited when I looked at the menu. First the good. Great location, ambiance, and great patio. Now the bad. I came at 1:15, so after the main lunch rush. There were only two tables seated on patio when I got here and the inside was not busy at all either. I sat for 10 min and no one greeted or helped me. A waitress came walking out but had no intention on helping me, so I called her over and told her I was ready to order. She didn’t look happy, and looked like she was ready to get off work. She told me there was another girl that should be my server and that she would go get her. I can’t believe she didn’t offer to step in. I am always surprised by how many servers don’t work as a team and support one another for the good of the restaurant and reviews. This is your JOB, and your income. Why not be excellent at all times? When she walked off the 2 ladies sitting nearby leaned over and told me they had to wait a long time as well. I ordered the Knob Hill burger. It was ok, not as good as all the reviewers have posted about the burgers. Got a side of Mac and cheese. It was cold and I had it sent back so I could try it hot. Mac/chz was okay. Also had the truffle tater tots. Those were pretty good. Maybe it was a bad day for the kitchen crew and the servers who knows, but this is the kind of place that could be 4 star and above. They just need to be on point no matter what time of day, or how bad a day they have had.

Fantastic burger and tots done real well. Good food, friendly service and pretty cool atmosphere… lots of options and unique ideas to liven up the burger genre. Definitely more a linch place for me, but dinner might be a good thing as well.

An OK experience but for Burger in the name, the burgers were underwhelming. Better burger at Beer Kitchen.

Had lunch here and left feeling like this place is a bit too pricey. My lunch ended up costing $ 29 for a burger, tots, and half an appetizer with a coworker plus tax and tip. The burger was just okay(it was on the dry side when I ordered medium rare) but the tots and pig wings were pretty delicious. I don’t think I’ll be back.

My favorite item from BRGR are the parmesan fries, they are thin and crispy and full of flavor! I have tried a multitude of their burgers and they hit the spot but at the same time aren’t like the besttttt burgers ever, but they do well in a burger crave pinch. I recently tried their Pig Wings during their Happy hour, 2 pork shanks for $ 6 and it was delicious and fall off the bone soft. I loved the spicy chili sauce they served along with it and the pickled vegetables also.

When my first experience was less than stellar, a member of management quickly contacted me to make it right. That gesture, alone, I found impressive, as it told me that customers really were a priority at this establishment.(I already knew the food and drinks were ~ YUMM-O.) I didn’t be accept any kind of «incentive,» to return, as I didn’t want anything to tip off the staff that my visit was any different than anyone else’s, nor did I want it to seem that that was what I was looking for in the first place. All of that said, if you’re going to be in the district and you like a good burger with not-so-typical fries/rings, this has been one of my favorite finds in the area. Few of the other establishments stand out as something unique, which is something that I look for in a dining experience. Additionally, I have to add that I loved the décor and layout of the place. LOTS of windows so you can watch the activity outside(if you’re into that kind of stuff) and lots of TVs so you can watch the game! Even if you’re just in for a drink, do yourself a favor and try the sweet potato fries!

Okay. BRGR, I will admit, is one of the best restaurants in the Power & Light District of downtown Kansas City. That’s not saying much really. Most of the restaurants in the district range from terrible(Tengo Sed Cantina, Bar Louie) to tolerable(Flying Saucer, Johnny’s Tavern) to unfortunate mediocrity(Cleaver & Cork) to above average(Bristol). I like BRGR… sometimes. I’ve had some good things: Jucy Lucy(delicious) and Mangia Burger(yum). Some okay things: Bison Burger(sadly, oversalted though perfectly cooked at medium-rare), Tacos de BRGR with short rib(passable though undersalted), Fish & Chips(the fries were way oversalted), and Gram & Dun Straws(tasty, but I’ve had better). I haven’t had anything I’d call bad. Yet. There seems to be a salt issue at BRGR. Either it’s oversalted or undersalted. They need to get the salt under control — one way or another. The service is satisfactory for the most part and so are the drinks. The Rye Not? is perhaps my favorite. It’s a clean, tasteful environment. There’s a large TV positioned perfectly against a wall to watch a sports game from the bar. BRGR doesn’t always get its food right, but on occasion it does. It’s a safe bet to stick with the more simple burgers. They know how to cook a burger, but the seasoning can be tricky. I would recommend a light-on-the-salt request.

Literally the most delicious burger on the planet I got the Roadhouse burger, and I upgraded it to a bison burger(unreal good). My husband got the Jucy Lucy, and it was made by the gods. We got their«truffle» fries, which were dunked in parmesan and herbs. I might ditch my husband and marry them instead. Also, someone at my table ordered the Pig Wings for an appetizer and shared, and OHMYGAWSH I literally cried from mouth watering amazingness. I’m in KC for a convention, and we came to the restaurant with kind of an obnoxious group. The ladies in the group basically demanded a table of 15, which isn’t gonna happen on a Friday night. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a couple of tables that were separate but all in the same section. They were very patient with us… THANKYOU! I’d give this place 20+ stars if I could! My husband leaned over and said, «We’re making a stop here every chance we possibly can.» Awesome joint!

Visited BRGR for a girls lunch and really enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered the kale chicken salad and it was delicious. Big chunks of grilled flavorful chicken, beets, feta cheese, green apple, bulgar wheat and radish. Tangy sweet dressing that brought it all together nicely. Water was never empty and came in a cool bottle that was left on the table and frequently exchanged for more. My friends ordered burgers and tots. The tots were awesome(although can you mess up a tot? Lol). My friend(who had dined there before) gave it a 4 as her past food experiences were better than that day. I give it a 4.5. The décor is cool and comfortable, staff friendly and attentive. All around great experience. I will return.

Still 5 stars, all the way. I’m not one to generally write additional reviews of a restaurant, but this visit was *SO* good that it had to happen. We arrived hungry, so we had a hard time narrowing down what sounded best. Agreed to split the fried deviled eggs(which I think we have gotten every time we’ve been here!) with the Fast Cow and truffle tots. Absolutely amazing. Every bite made us just stop for a second and marvel at it. The portions are bigger than they look at first, probably because everything was so dense(the Fast Cow comes on an English muffin– brilliant in that it keeps it from falling apart because it is so juicy and covered in gooey toppings, but makes it extra filling). We couldn’t finish the last few bites of burger or tots, so we had to forgo dessert this visit. It had been a while since we had been by, but it was a good reminder of why it always sounds good whenever we’re passing back through KC.

Came here with a friend on a Wednesday for lunch. I made a reservation, so we were seated right away. It was actually pretty packed in there(for lunch at least), but I noticed some kind of organized gathering, so that may have contributed. It definitely was not loud though. I browsed the menu before visiting because I was really excited to have a burger for the first time in a while, so I had an idea of what I was going to order. My friend suggested ordering The Combo, which allows you to choose three selections from the fries/rings/tots section for $ 9(this ended up to be a great idea). We got the truffle fries, truffle tots, and onion straws. I ordered the S&P with a side of «special sauce», and she ordered the mangia burger. Our food came out quickly, which is definitely very important at lunch time. The portions were very acceptable for the price point and the type of cuisine(the combo portion was huge). My burger was delicious. It had lettuce, tomatoes, & pickles on a kaiser bun, and I chose cheddar cheese to top it. It was cooked perfectly(I ordered medium well and that’s what I got). The bread was not too«soft», which is something I really hate. I liked it a lot better than Beer Kitchen’s burgers, which I thought had bread that was disappointingly soft(soggy). My favorite of the three sides were the truffle tots, which I was already excited for before we ordered. The truffle flavor was pretty strong, so if you do not like truffle, I would suggest getting the plain sides. All three were good and perfectly crispy. It was a little expensive — I spent close to $ 20 with tip for a burger and half of the combo. But the service was really good(our server was naturally charismatic, which is a rare quality) and the atmosphere was really nice. I will definitely suggest this place for more upscale burgers, and look forward to visiting again.

I have not even been to NYC location and had to try this one first. I became a huge fan after the first bite into«THEPIGWING». Wow. Crispy pork shank(looks like a drum stick) with scotch-honey glaze served with blue cheese, celery and HOTSAUCE. You have to try it with the hot sauce. We could not stop at one order so decided to get another one. Pure heaven. The Fired Up Wings were not that good. It could have been a bit more moist inside so that it will balance the dry rub on the outside. This has potential. I like the way they serve their Maker’s Mark bourbon on a slanted glass with a large cube of ice. It is easier to drink and you will not touch your nose on the glass. That is what I LIKE. BOOM!
