Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

I know a lot of people really enjoy Freddy’s and I agree that their custard is pretty good. But beyond that, the place really isn’t worth a visit. Their burgers taste like they are charred beyond belief and they crumble and fall apart. The handful of times I have visited this location they struggle each time to get my order right. How difficult is it to leave a slice of cheese off of a burger?
There are plenty of solid fast food places out there, but unless you want custard, skip Freddy’s.

Bang for your buck! We feed ourselves and children. I am tired of over rated burger joints that charge too much for so little. Freddy’s is amazing! We love going, we can feed all of us for next to nothing, and the food is spectacular. We actually went through the Wendy’s drive thru the other day and looked at each other and said, «Lets go to Freddy’s.» I actually just told the drive through person never mind lol. We happily made the trek to North Oak to Freddy’s. We get the burger meals and the kids love the chicken tenders. The char on the burgers is amazing, the produce is fresh and ripe. The meat is tender, juicy, and we’ll seasoned. The fries are great. They could use more sea salt or seasoning. The fry sauce is good, its different. It’s like a mild ty thousand island dressing. I can’t wait to try a shake! The customer service is great too. Seems like a great job, especially for teens starting out in the work place. I think they will learn a great deal about customer service values.

This location used to be pretty slow and never busy. I’m glad to see its picked up business and has even added a second drive thru. A good sign!
The location is a bit tricky as its right before the 1 – 35 and 1 – 52 split. You’ve got to get in your lane fast, otherwise you’ll miss it.

The shoe string fries are worth a return trip.

Okay the worst experience ever… They have two drive thru lanes. We get into the open lane. The lady keeps talking in on the closed lane. So I walk over to let her know. Order two regular concretes. After waiting in drive thru one for 20 mins, I pull up to the service window. Since my wife was in the back seat of the car. The server had three cups in the carrier instead of two concretes. So she tells the server the order is not correct. The server looked my wife in her eyes and asked,” Is your first name HENRY?” Then she walls away from the window and comes back minutes later… Reviews the order, takes one cup out of the tray while the total is still same and with sass says, «That is what I was handing you.» The order was handed to us with straws. Last I checked people used straws for shakes. Upon inquiry we were told that since they were out of concrete cups, they were serving shakes. My wife immediately cancelled the order and drove away. Advise for Freddy’s is to hire competant employees who can earn how to operate the mics, get order straight, be transparent about order and never never never ask a lady if her name is Henry.

amazing… my trainer will kill me but the patty melt was so yummy, hit the spot and a mini tropical concrete… I enjoyed every calorie of it!

Always perfection from there. The staff is friendly, helpful and was always willing to try and make my day better. The place was clean, great place for kids, adults, and even the elderly. I will definitely be back!

I was very impressed with this burger place. Everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered my custard «on hold» so I could pick it up after I was done eating.
I would have given it 5 stars but the patties are very thin and had I known that I would have gotten a triple. (I am not a big guy)
It isn’t In N Out but it is a close second! Well done Freddy’s!

Salty greasy goodness every time. I made the mistake of rubbing my eye after eating their shoestring fries and oh how it burns. I never feel fulfilled or full after eating here which is a testament to the fast food they’re able to create. You just want to eat more and more until your eyes feel like snails being attacked with salt.

Amazing steak burgers (they’re KILLING Steak n Shake). Had mine California Style and the wife had a double. Interior is like a 50s style diner with a nostalgic feel to it. Ordered a chocolate peanut butter shake that changed my life. Don’t know if it was the frozen custard but it makes a huge difference. One of my new favorite spots.

No idea how they crisp the edges of their burgers (don’t clean the griddle?) but they’re delish. Love the frozen custard treats and the fact that you can put them on «hold» and pay upfront, then when you’er ready for desert, they’ll release the custard order for you.
I think there’s crack in the fry sauce. It’s seriously that addictive.

I was pleasantly surprised with Freddy’s. They serve good food at a reasonable price. Burgers and fries!

My daughter & I went on a busy Thursday night. The place is pretty small and almost all tables were taken. As soon as you walk in the counter is there with a large menu over head. AS we glared at the menu not knowing what to get. We both decided to try the bacon double cheese burger with fries & a pink lemonade, & a oreo cookie custard sandwich.
I was given my receipt with a number on it as they make your food fresh to order. It didn’t take long for our order to come out. The burger was a nice size and the meat was thin patties that had a great beefy flavor. The burger was really good & the bacon although small it was crispy. yes, crispy bacon, yum.
The fries were shoestring fries & I not a big fan of that type of fries so of course they were just ok. My daughter loved her fries and said the flavor was good.
The oreo cookie with custard was ok, it taste like it sounds two oreo cookies with frozen custard in between. Yumo
The bad
I didn’t like that the floors & the tables were all dirty & I had to wipe my tale off to have a clean one. When I went to the restroom it was nasty as well. Yes, it really grossed me out.
I will go bad and try it again because the burger was good. Plus I think that maybe because they were so busy with kids that is the reason for the dirty floor. We shall see on my next visit. stay toned

Fantastic burgers, and I love the way the fries are seasoned.

We’ve been fans of Freddy’s since they opened in Liberty, but this last visit was a disappointment. I ordered the 3-​piece fish filet with fries and an Oreo ice-​cream sandwich. My friend ordered his usual burger, hot dog, and fries combo.
I bit into the fish filet that had a satisfying crunchy coating, but absolutely NO fish flavor. I popped a few fries to clear my palate and tried the fish again. Hmmmm… still no fish flavor. I thought for a moment they had given me chicken strips by mistake, but there was no chicken flavor either.
My friend said his hot dog tasted different this time. Perhaps they have changed suppliers. We both enjoyed their wonderful fries, and I devoured my Oreo ice-​cream sandwich.
Their ice cream concoctions can’t be beat, but I’ll skip their fish filets next time.

Love the California style burger and the Freddy’s sause to dip your fries into.

Freddy’s certainly does not disappoint.
We have only sampled Freddy’s steakburgers and fries, but we were in heaven. Freddy’s reminds me of Culver’s, Winstead’s and Steak & Shake all rolled into one. That is nothing but a compliment. They have the skinny fries like Steak & Shake and their steakburgers remind me of Winstead’s. The burgers were so fresh and their fries are perfect & crispy. This location gets crowded fast due to popularity and families coming in to dine-​in. I always make him order and I grab a seat really fast! And two words: FRY SAUCE. I have no idea what is in it but it is delicious. We tried Freddy’s for the first time when we moved up to the Northland. We’re anxious to go back and try their custard.

Good burgers and custard!

As good of a chili cheese dog as you will find anywhere in town. Burgers are pretty good too. Fries are ok, but really small like shoe string potato chips. They get cold really fast also. Bring your debit card. There is no dollar menu in this place, for sure. Nobody is leaving this place full for less than $ 10 bucks. Better food and value is just on the other side of I-​35, at Culvers.

What a pleasant surprise.
Burgers were seasoned nicely and the fries were delicious (although we had to have another order as the first was too salty). Customer service was first rate.
Only cons would be that it was freezing inside and the floor could have used a mopping.
I will be going back.
