Flagship Fastlube

I’d like to use this complaint as a suggestion rather than just venting. I’ve been to this exact Flagship Fastlube two times within 6 months and the same issue happened to me both times. I waited for my oil to get changed for an hour or longer only to get a call from them saying they are out of the oil I need. Both instances they asked me multiple times if I wanted to upgrade to their most expensive oil. It seemed more like a ploy to force me to buy their most expensive oil rather than an inventory issue. The first time it happened, it was fine… I just went back another time. I will never go this place again. They really need to figure out what they have in their inventory before making people wait a long period of time.

Awesome experience! Needed a safety check and nowhere in Waianae could get me in for at least a week. Fastlube let me do a walk in and were kind and courteous. I even walked across the street to get my nails done while I waited! They called when they were finished and I came back to pay and grab the car. What a respectful and knowledgable staff. Thank you Fastlube!

I was looking to do my first safety check (hello, adulthood) and since Fastlube was right down the road from my place, I decided to come here.
The lady who had helped me with my safety check said that they are busier on weekdays than weekends — which was strange. But regardless of their hectic lineup, they were able to work together efficiently and provide great service. Would definitely come back here again :)

I went to this place because I needed to do a full service on my car. Before handing my car over to them, I explained to them that aside from the other stuff they check and perform such as oil change, I would like them to also check my lights, fluids, brakes, and do a tire rotation. The lady told me that they could do all those things and that it would take an hour or so to finish.
Upon getting my car back, they said they completed everything so I went home. When I got home I went to check my car myself to see if what I had asked for was done. To my surprise, they never changed my lights and they insisted that the transmission dip stick was nowhere to be found but as you open up the hood of my car the dip stick is right there.
I’m upset because as a customer I’m coming to these professionals to help me make sure that my car is in good condition and ready to go. The person who worked on my car obviously didn’t know what he was doing. I mean how can you say that something is not there but when I open up the hood its there in plain sight? So I came to a conclusion that this guy either doesn’t care or he just doesn’t know where the transmission part of the engine is located. Whatever the case is I will be bringing my car back to Midas to have it done and properly checked out.
I gave them 2 stars because although he didn’t change my lights or check transmission fluid, he «said» that he did everything else. So I’m giving him the benefit of a doubt that he is at least telling the truth about changing my oil and checking the fluids.

Was a little skeptical with the 3stars but pleasantly surprised by the customer service — Idk how they are when they are busy, went Sunday morning and there was no wait– when I forgot to indicate I wanted premium synthetic oil they went back and didn’t it and rotated my tires too (done within a hour :) I asked a lot of questions since this was my first-​time here –Thank you Coby & Cris for your patience– will come back and hope the customer service is like this in the future

I always come here to get my oil changed, and whenever I do it’s always a long line and the turn around time is about maybe an hour to maybe even 2. That’s UNDERSTANDABLE.
However, this last time I came it seemed to be a short line of cars however the wait time for my car was 2.5 hours. That kind of sucked…
Besides that, the staff is always nice and friendly. Hopefully next time I come here the wait won’t be that long.

22April… went to jiffy lube in Kapolei around 1030am and received excellent customer service and quick safety check by a young man name of Chris. Lots of info received with much ALOHA. We will continue using their services.

After receiving a personal call from the owner I am confident that there are hundreds of satisfied customers of Fastlube. I have complete respect for the company’s commitment to customers. No doubt, I will return and recommend this place to others.
The background behind the call from the owner is that they couldn’t service my car because there was a potential risk of further damage to one of the caps under my car. He wanted to ensure that I knew they were taking precautions and he well communicated his concern for his customers. It was a very classy phone call and I was pleasantly surprised to feel so valued!
If you are looking for a place to service your car, Fastlube is the place to go. As I learned today, this is not a franchise company and the Waipio, Kunia, and Kapolei locations are Ll owned by the same person.

I’ve had three cars checked here, and three separate people help me. Each and every time was a friendly and efficient experience. Thank you!

Called Flagship Fastlube this morning to have a headlight repaired and spoke with Aaron who was great. His customer service was excellent. I must say because of Aaron I will come back to Fastlube.

The usual place I go for my safety check was booked till the first of the next month. (I admit it is my fault waiting till 3 days left of the expiration month). So, I thought I’d take a chance to come here. Called a day before, they told me, first come first serve. Drove up into the line at 8am (which they just opened). There was a 4 cars before me, so I expected at least an hour wait, depending on what kind of services they needed. Started on my truck 8:40. Got it back by 9:00. Will definitely come back, if my usual place is heavily booked… and to go somewhere close to home. Staff was pleasantly helpful and courteous.

Joelene is super friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure to have her check me in. Have used them twice now for an oil change and are always quick. Ac quit working and they offered input as to who to go see for free estimates. Quite helpful since I’m new to the island!

Another great experience using this company.
The other day I smelled coolant in my work van. I didn’t think much of it. I continued using it and when I came out of a place I stopped to have lunch I noticed fluid leaking from underneath the radiator, COOLANT! I panicked but luckily I was within 2 miles of Flagship so I shot straight there to have someone look at it. It was the end of the day so there wasn’t many vehicles and I pulled right up where I noticed the manager Chris who had helped me in the past and ask him for assistance. Chris looked over the vehicle and told me he would run some tests to see what was wrong. Sure enough time to replace the radiator in my 140k GMC Savanna. I had to work early the next day so I couldn’t make it back to drop the vehicle off but Chris offered to lock it inside their shop and begin work on the it the first thing following morning. The following day they called me and my van was back in top shape and they did the repairs cheaper than anyone in the area would have. Great customer service! The staff all care about helping. I can’t say enough good things about this place. They make recommendations but aren’t pushy they are just looking out for your best interest. I’ll be a lifetime customer of this place they have gone out of their way to help me on more than one occasion. Thanks guys!

Don’t bring your car here. Very unprofessional. My boyfriend and I brought our car in for an oil change in July I think? When we dropped it off we told the girl checking us in that the doors lock automatically so be sure to keep the window down and/​or the keys out of the car. We also told her to tell anyone servicing the car to not use the inside drivers door handle because it was slightly unstable (we use it everyday, but didn’t want anyone to mess with it and make it worse) so when we go to pay the girl at the computer is going through the run down of things they did and she says «inside door handle was broken upon arrival» we were like… can you repeat that? She says the door handle is broken.. So we go out to the car and the inside door handle is completely ripped out! We can push it back in, but when you try to open the door it falls out! It did not do this before. So we went back inside and told her that whoever worked on our car broke the handle completely. I don’t understand how they could have broken it that much without using a lot of force. Anyways the girl goes and talks to the mechanic and he is saying the handle was like that before he worked on it. As she was talking to him he was giving us the dirtiest look ever. We were not able to speak to him directly. The girl tells us that he says it was broken before. We complain and ask for a manager. No manager at that time, so she took a photo and said she sent it to her manager and he will give us a call.
I did not receive a call for a week, so we called them. I forget the managers name. Eventually we met with the manager, he looked at the handle, and then came to a resolution that they would purchase the parts for the new handle and we would pay labor. The manager says he will call when the parts come in. He called once to inform us that he was still waiting on the parts, this was about 2 weeks after the incident. We didn’t receive any calls after that. My boyfriend called and asked about the parts and the manager says he called us and said the parts are in. So we made an appointment to come in the next morning at 8 and have it fixed. I get a call at 7:30 that morning the manager says that the parts aren’t actually in, so don’t come in. Why did he tell us the parts were in then? This is well over a month that we have been waiting to get the handle fixed at that point.
It is now October and this happened in July, and we have not heard back from them, and I don’t think we will. Our door handle is still broken. This place is so unprofessional and rude. You can’t just shut off something that you said you were having done, especially if you want a reputable business.

UPDATE: upon posting my review, the manager and owner called me apologizing. The owner was sincere, and made it a point to talk the manager about my concerns. Since then, the manager has been keeping me informed. I really appreciated it when the owner gave me a call addressing my concern, it showed that he cared about his customers. I will be turning my car in on Monday to get the handle fixed.
I’ve been coming to this location for my regular oil changes and safety check, so I would really hope that this was just one occurrence.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE WITH A WORKING CAR! I took my car in April for an oil change, shortly after the check file emission light and check engine light came on. When I took my car to the Honda dealer I found out that my oil was never change (almost completely gone and dark black tar color). They also did put the splash guard back on that protect the engine from water damage. I called Fastlube to inform them of their mistake and the $ 245 bill that I got from the dealer to runs diagnostic and repair — in addition to the $ 177 I spend on oil change & air-​filter from them. For two weeks I did not get a call back. I went to the store to ask how they were going to make this right. I was offered a $ 135 gift card to Fastlube. I explained that this was unacceptable and wanted the owner to call me. I have yet to hear from the owner.
Poor service on vehicles and poor customer service!

I came here to do a safety check since it was close by. I didn’t have the registration as it was coming in the mail from paying it online. The guy gave me a temp sticker and told me to come back once we got the registration in the mail.
Once we got the registration in the mail, we came back to get the sticker back and the attendant told us that the only person who could do it was off that day. I was irritated that they only had one person to do, and was off on a weekend when thats when most people do their safety checks, but lesson learned. I called a few days later to see if maybe I could get it done after work, but the attendant told me that the guy only works until 4 or 5. Wow. must be nice. I asked if he would be in on the weekend and she told me that he would be in on Saturday from 8am until 5 pm.
So we scheduled our entire weekend around that. We left a birthday party early, moved our oil change appointment around just so that we could make it there before the guy left. We pulled up around 3pm and the mechanics were just standing around. There was no one in line or waiting… not looking favorable already. After a few moments, a young kid came up and greeted us. We informed him that we were there to complete our safery check and he told us that the safety inspection guy wasn’t there. I was irritated that we had moved our entire weekend around just to make sure we got this completed, we wasted more time and gas coming out there, and the damn ONE PERSON (bad business if you ask me) in that place wasn’t there.
So now, we have to come back another time. You may ask, «Why don’t you just go somewhere else?» Well, because they already took my damn money to get the inspection done! I just need them to issue me the permant sticker!!!
So now, I have to take off of work since apparently this guy doesn’t like to work on the weekends and leaves at 4pm when most of the people who live on the West Side dont get back to that side until after 5pm just so I can friggin get my damn safety sticker issued to me by the ONE employee who can do it at that stupid establishment!
Can you tell I’m a little bit irritated about this?
After we finally get our sticker, whenever that may be, I plan to NEVER come back to this place for anything and tell my fellow servicemembers and co-​workers alike to avoid this place. We’re going to have to find another place next year, and even if I have to travel farther, I won’t mind because I’m sure wherever we pick next will have more BUSINESS SENSE, professionalism, and customer service than this place.

My car needed an oil change, so i came into fast lube on my lunch break. Not only was the service fast, but the customer service was incredible! The woman at the front desk really made my day! I had some tension items that I took out of my car, and realized I was super thirsty, so I asked if she wouldn’t mind watching my stuff while I stepped out to grab a drink. As I was walking out she offered me a soda… I know this sounds super simple, but I thought it was just great.
I’ve been coming to this location for my regular oil changes and I will continue to do so as long as I’m working in Kapolei!

I have brought three different cars here over a period of two years. They can change the oil and filter… no problem. They will check fluid levels and lights if they have time. My wife’s car is a plain, simple automatic 4 cylinder car with A/​C and power steering. I just wanted an oil change and a transmission flush.
They changed the oil, no problem… but upsold me to get the new synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid which they told me was what it needed. That stuff was $ 50 extra, so the «flush» cost $ 200.
Well, they forgot to do it. $ 200 for NOTHING… so I brought it back, and told the guy, and he said he would do it. A few minutes later, he said it was ready.
NOT! He drained some fluid, and added new fluid, but as anybody with knowledge of cars knows that that’s not a FLUSH at all… it doesn’t even come close to a fluid «change» because more than half of the fluid is still in the torque converter and the pump and the guts of the transmission. The only way to do a flush is to disconnect the cooling hoses and start the engine and hook the car to a flush machine… but they didn’t do that. I inspected the car myself… it wasn’t touched at all…
This is FRAUD… a cheat, a theft at best. They need to be turned over to the police. This is robbery without A gun… plain and simple…

After my debacle with Motor Imports and the warranty on my car ending, I figured why am I going to pay $ 160 for Motor Imports to do an oil change when a service station can do the same thing for a third of the price. For the $ 160, Motor Imports doesn’t even do a diagnostic test (hooking your car to a computer to examine anything the car computer says is possibly malfunctioning).
On the long Memorial Day weekend I figured my car was getting close to a 3,000 mile oil change so I figured I would check out Flagship Fastlube after reading pretty positive Unilocal reviews and its proximity to my house in Kapolei.
I called about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday to see how busy they were. The girl who answered was very nice and said they weren’t that busy and could have my car done in 30 minutes if I came by. Not much to say as this is a standard oil change with the technicians visually inspecting fluid levels and topping any off. They also did a quick vacuum of my floors and carpets which were very dirty with sand (I’m a normal beachgoer). There was some residual sand left but this is an oil change, not a cleaning/​detailing service I am paying for.
I walked across the street to run some errands and about 30 minutes later, they called saying my car was ready. I appreciated that they reset my «maintenance req’d» light and used a paper mat so the tech’s oily shoes would not get on my carpet. All in all for $ 43.99, I think it’s a job well done. Yes, I could’ve bought 4 – 5 quarts of 5W-​20 oil for $ 20 and did it myself but I hate the mess and disposal (have to buy a disposal box) so I don’t mind paying for someone to do this for me.
Only docking 1-​star because the girl who checked me in initially misread the computer and said I needed to use synthetic oil. When I corrected her saying I think I can use conventional 5W-​20, I looked at the computer and she saw she had misread it. Good thing I questioned her as a non-​car person may trust them and pay for a synthetic oil change that they don’t need.
