McDonald’s

My last review of this place I was pretty hangry. Now I’m more focused. This place has wonderful servers in the morning for my breakfast and they support public school fundraisers.
Yay!

Soggy, undersalted fries. Come on.

We arrived around 830 with a hankering for a McFlurry and a slightly higher than room temperature cup of water. Parking was easy. The line was short, and the cashier had a nice-​person face. Very non-​threatening.
The McFlurry was perfectly churned, all oreo bits nicely spaced within the soft serve. The cap was a little pesky, but it was easily removable for optimal ice cream-​to-​mouth access. The water cup was pristine, and the soda fountain had a nozzle dedicated especially to filtered-​water. No sharing with the fruit punch nozzle, which guaranteed a clear stream of brita-​quality water.
The soap dispenser in the bathroom was filled to the brim with standard fushia-​colored soap. It bestowed a sensible portion into my palm; I was able to wash my hands swiftly and effectively.
The restaurant was decorated with images that promoted a healthy and positive lifestyle, which was a pleasant distraction from the hedonistic indulgence my late-​night cravings drove me to pursue.

I was craving an ice cream cone. I came here because they’re only $ 0.59. I was presented with a sad, puny cone, not the usual cones where the ice cream is the same length as a unicorn’s horn. It usually takes me a while to eat a normal sized cone, but I was halfway done with this manini one by the time I got home. I guess I’ll go to other McDonald’s and pay more to get more. At least the girls were pleasant.

Ate in with some family members. Ordered 3 McChickens and 1 McDouble with some other stuff. Buns for all sandwiches were smashed, hell it looked like the whole sandwich was smashed. It honestly made us feel like we were eating pancakes stuffed with a thin layer of beef/​chicken meat.

the only con i can think of was there speaker intercom thing… it was really hard to order. other than that, everything we ordered, they got correct… extra napkins too. hehe

Friendly staff who know how to clear the drive thru line in a jiffy. Food was fresh. A bit tricky trying to find the drive thru entrance when coming in from the costco traffic light.

Quality control is way off. On Sunday night I ordered an egg McMiffin, the English muffin was not toasted ;it was merely warm bread. If your going to do all day breakfast your quality shouldn’t suffer

Found a piece of bone in my chicken mcnugget. Luckily I didn’t swallow it. Emailed McDonald’s but no reply back whatsoever.

Not only was the service terrible but it took forever for someone to take my order. Once that order was at least it took forever to get to the payment window. Arriving at the window I asked the cashier if I could use my Apple Pay. The cashier than tells me that McDonald’s did away with Apple Pay and they never had it. I told her funny I use it all the time at other McDonald’s throughout the United States. Not only was the service slow The incompetent cashier didn’t even know the type of products they have. I will not go to this location ever again. I don’t even like McDonald’s. I guess that’s what I get for going to McDonald’s instead of Jack-​in-​the-​Box.

I think I grew a beard while waiting in the drive thru. On serious note, I did write this while waiting, one handed.

This McDonalds has Portuguese sausage platters served all day unlike other Locations.

One of two McDonald’s in Kapolei. This food establishment is located near Outback Steakhouse and Home Depot.
There’s outside seating as well as indoor seating for the customers. The fast food joint has sliding doors to enter the restaurant. One located in the front near the outside seating and another sliding door located on the side facing Outback Steakhouse.
The restrooms are located on the right hand side as a person enters from the side of the building. The few times that I have used the restroom it was semi clean and there’s only two stalls.
The few times that I did order food… the transaction was really fast. I didn’t have to wait as long as other individuals. I need to remember to stop by at this McDonald’s location for some cheap ice cream cones (I wonder if they still get that promotion?).

Just ok, nice employees, food was ok, nice buy one get pne Big Mac, Will be back tomorrow to get the breakfast with rice,

Pros:
I love their iced coffee with sugar free French vanilla (close to dunkin donuts sf French vanilla latte which are no where to be found in Hawaii or Washington)
They have a 3 local breakfast dishes that all comes with rice & soy sauce, one with spam, one with sausage or a combo of both.
Eggs sandwiches are not bad but not great (it’s microwaveable egg)

McDonald’s is a big franchise so writing a bad review is not going to stop customers from going, but if you do go just make sure you look at your food before leaving the area. If you’re in drive-​thru DO NOT drive off until you look in your bag!
Employees here doesn’t care what they bag or how they make their food. Ordered An Asian salad and got a southwest, apparently they ran out of Asian salad so the MANAGER decided to give me another salad instead! The damn southwest salad wasn’t even made correctly! I wasted my time and money.
This McDonald’s definitely needs a third window, so you can switch out all the wrong food you get with the correct ones.

Location/​Parking:
They are located in the same shopping center as Home Depot, Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Navy Federal. They are directly across from Costco. There are tons of parking at this shopping center.

MISTAKES GALORE!!!
There is always a mistake in my order! On my most recent visit, I ordered a 6 piece chicken McNugget Happy Meal and I received 5 McNuggets. My husband has ordered double quarter pounder and received a single quarter pounder. My daughter also did not receive apples on one of the visits and was terribly disappointed since she knows apples come with the Happy Meal.
Price:
The restaurant is affordable for most people and the specials help people stretch their money further.
Overall, the restaurant is conveniently located and offers daily specials that is advertised on the front of the restaurant. I prefer NOT to come to this location because of all the mistakes made in the past on our previous orders.

This location is better at drive through orders than sit-​in ones. I’ve come through this drive through many times with my family or a friend and there hasn’t been any order mess-​ups that I can remember.
Upon my latest visit, however, my mom and I ordered in person inside. My mom insists that her order took far too long, though she’s been known to be impatient. She had a point though, I ordered after her and I got my #10 meal about 10 minutes before her happy meal for my niece was done. Unless a hamburger takes that much longer than nuggets… I’m not sure what the wait was for. At the same time though, maybe there were just a lot more orders for hamburgers than nuggets at the time so that could explain the back up.
After we left, I realized they didn’t give my niece anything to drink with her happy meal. We ordered an apple juice and it was nowhere to be found.
This was just one experience going inside so take it with a grain of salt. I just find it a bit odd that the one time I decide to go in, food came out slow and something was forgotten, when all the other times driving through, there’s not been any hiccups yet.
My suggestion is to stick to the drive through and always double-​check your orders.

Asked for fresh fries and guess what?! It was fresh! I’ve never been so happy with McDonalds customer service. Been her quite a few times and they have great customer service, their quick and food hasn’t been soggy. Way better than the McDonalds a few blocks down.

This location is very interesting. I walked in and felt like crying. I won’t explain why as my comments might be misunderstood. It was just a sad place at the moment I went. Not sure if it is always this way, I hope not. I am having my kitchen remodeled so I have no way to cook and the golden arches where there to save the day or so I thought. I would much rather go through the drive through then sit and eat at this location.
No problems with the food just the ambiance hence the rating.
