I’ve eaten Phở all around the island and this is one of my favorites. The quality and amount have seemed to go down a bit since they first opened. The spicy crab soup is awesome as is the combo phở, the other menu items I’ve had were not the greatest so I stick to the soups. Great service, I don’t know the names of the two ladies that always seem to serve us but they’re great and always remember my daughters name and interact with her while we are there. It;s one of the nicest and cleanest Phở places you’ll eat at on Oahu and parking is great. Prices are what you would expect at a Vietnamese Restaurant here, most menu items are under $ 10 or hover around that. I’ve discovered it has closed recently and another Vietnamese Restaurant has taken it’s place. I’ll be sure to eat there and give an update.

I didn’t have time to lounge around, but take out was just as good. This place is surprising beautiful from the inside. They nearly had the same setup as their neighbor Assagio’s, which equals to a fancy little restaurant. This is a big and pleasantly inviting place that even offers a bar seating area. I paid around $ 9.30+ for my phở tai sach, and they only offer one size for take out. It’s plenty and will satisfy the phở craving/hunger. The 6 pieces of raw meat is neatly, thinly sliced, and wrapped in saran wrap placed with the noodles. There was a bag of the normal vegetables to accompany the meal. The usual sprouts, basil, some other greens, and most importantly my hoisin/siracha mix was packed neatly. The broth was delicious and the noodles were just as good. I think the experience would be much more amazing had I opted to eat in. I definitely will come back since I was so happy with my take out phở. It appears there’s a lot of mixed reviews, but I personally had a great experience.

This place is AMAZE-BALLS!!! The price is just right, especially for the ambiance and comfy seating. The phở is DELISH and the service is great! Ask for their«satay» sauce since it’s not usually out on the tables, they keep it in the fridge so it’s nice and fresh. I believe you can only get it on request but it’s great with your meal!

It’s hard enough finding a good place to eat Vietnamese food when you live and work outside of town, but, as a Vietnamese, I will say that this place is the farthest from good authentic Vietnamese food. The broth tastes watered down, the staff was unfriendly and cold, and the portions were ungenerous. In addition, most phở places are quaint, cozy and modest, but this place was kind of too big and widespread, so the ambiance felt cold and unpleasant, and everyone was seated so far away from each other that we felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant! With all these shortcomings, and competition from other tastier phở restaurants nearby, I am not sure how long this place will last. I will tell you though, that the quality of the phở will not save it.

I must say that this place is so much better than Phở & Co. and 808 Phở. This place has people that can speak ENGLISH, the place isn’t dirty, it has a nice set up, and the staff is pretty good. It is a little pricer than the 808 Phở which my parents and I used to go to before this place opened up, but i guess its because the quality of the food. Pros: –Phở broth is amazing –I like how the raw meat can be served out side the soup –Their taro dessert –Staff speaks ENGLISH –The place is nicely set up and quiet –Place is clean! –Have lots of option on the menu –The sampler platter is really good!!! Cons: –The service can be a little slow sometimes. I guess they dont have enough people. –They don’t have beef stew(or they didnt have any at the moment) which is why i give them a 4 because my dad always got the beef stew at 808 Phở and thats his favorite. Overall, great place to go with the family. I love going to this location, the broth is just excellent!

While driving around in kapolei me and my girl were looking for a place to eat and this place caught our eyes so we gave it a try walked in about noon place was empty got seated right away and we ordered the phở combo and the pork sandwich. The phở combo… Was a little on the bland side. Was really shy on the meat. First phở combination we ate that had no meatballs. Broth was on the oily side. –Not to crave for. The pork sand… Wow! Bread tasted really fresh and was soft and crunchy on the outside as if they bake there own. Perfect portion on the vegs/pork. Tasty. –We loved it! Nice place for phở and also clean.

Had dinner with my family here tonight. I dont really eat vietnamese food except for saigon noodle house in kaneohe(best vermicelli and spring roll/lemongrass chicken combo). The restaurant is beside assagio’s in kapolei. There have been many restaurants in that location since that building was built I think it is cursed! It used to be a chinese, then a sushi, now a vietnamese restaurant. I hope this one lasts cause the dessert is awesome! We started with the sampler of appetizers, it came with fried spring rolls, summer rolls, beef wontons, and sauteed beef with daikon and pickled carrots. There were two dipping sauces, one peanut, and one that tasted like sweet vinegar. The best on the dish was the sauteed beef! It was cooked perfectly and was delish dipped in peanut sauce. Everything else was just average, not bad, but not the best thing I ever ate. For entrees I had the BUN(vermicelli bowl) topped with fried spring rolls and bbq chicken. The chicken was dry and I had to drench it in the vinegary sauce. Meeehhhh I’d rather have this same dish at saigon. Oh before this, I tried to order half spring roll and half lemon grass and the waitress laughed and said no. RUDE! why is there half spring roll and half bbq chicken??? weird. My mom and brother had PHO which they enjoyed.(I’m not a phở person, but I trust that its good because they eat a lot of PHO) my dad had the chicken curry which I did not try but my dad said it was okay. Now onto dessert! We ordered the tri layer and the taro tapioca. The tri layer was halo halo-ish with layers of milk, jellys, and beans. What was weird was the huge cubes of ice that made it hard to eat. Taste wise it was pretty yummy, without the ice. The taro tapioca was SOGOOD! it comes in a bowl with tapioca on the bottom, mixed with big chunks of taro, topped with coconut cream and crushed peanuts. You mix all the yumminess and enjoy :) I didn’t want to share but I had to. I wonder if I should have ordered one to go? YUM i can’t stop thinking about it haha

This review is based on service; we left without eating. Simply put, which hostess is not at her area? A customer has to wait five minutes and call the restaurant for her to show up? Not even a server in sight? Ridiculous! So SAVE yourself that dilemma and go to Phở 808! Just as clean and the best part is, they are SO efficient!

NEVER again! Staff more worried about empty tables then people sitting at tables. Food so-so. Prices a joke.

Came here with my friend because he wanted some phở and heard that this place was good from his friend. This place is the same place as the former yellow fin sushi which was the former house of fortune; both didnt last and were out in a flash. Let’s just see how this place holds up with the neighboring phở & co right across. Upon entering we were seated immediately and asked what we wanted to drink. She later came back with their paper menu. Its kinda odd that the place is so nice and elegant looking that they only have menus made out of printer paper; thats okay with me but it just doesnt match the setting. Anyway, they have your usual Vietnamese menu items but since I wanted phở I decided to get the medium seafood phở for 9.50 and my friend got the medium brisket phở 6+. Thats a big gap in price for seafood but I wanted to give it a try anyway, in hopes that it would come with a lot of seafood… While waiting waters were filled and the waitress was nice although there were like 3 of them that kinda helped us so i was a bit confused on who was serving us… Not too long the food finally came and the bowls were quite small compared to other places and the amount of side veggies that they give(mint, basal, bean sprouts, etc) was also Very small compared to others. I definitely understood what Sherwin Y. was saying. My broth was okay but wow!, the portion of seafood was a rip for one thing, and the other thing was that it wasnt that good. The TWO Tiny fish balls were undercooked and the 3 small pieces of squid was WAY overcooked and super tough. It also came with TWO small pieces of shrimp and 3 small pieces of fish. Me and my friend were also annoyed that the girl(also hostess) just took away our veggies when I shook my head no; since I had food in my mouth I couldnt speak up. We were like whoa whats happening?! cause those veggies, even though little, really added some substance to our phở since the portion was quite small. Overall i dont think i’ll be back…

I like the place because it’s very nice and clean compare to most of the Vietnamese Restaurant in town. The staffs are friendly, but I think they are lack of energy. I think this place ambient is a little dark for Phở or family restaurant, turn on more light would help. Overall the food is above average and I would coming back again. Tips for the owner, you need some decent looking menu to match the place, a paper menu is lame.

I’m baaaaaack. how long has it been since I did a review. a year maybe? anyway who cares, let’s get down to business. I just ate here on my lunch break today. My friend told me there was a new phở place in Kapolei. I originally intended to eat lunch at Phở 808 but my friend suggested otherwise. So he asked me where I wanted to go, so I said ok let’s go try this new place Phở Vietnam, although in my mind I had fear of disappointment. We get there and we go inside, it is very elegant and nice compared to other phở places in Hawaii. Reminded me of Café World lol I dont know why. I look at the menu and see that the prices are similar to the other places. I order my usual large brisket only and spring rolls. Waited for some time to bring out the food and I was thinking to myself«you gotta be kidding me… that’s a large???» I look in the bowl and feel out the volume of the contents in my bowl w/my chopsticks… their large is a medium in most places. Ho da manini ehhh… now it might satisfy the average person, but for phở savages like myself, I was very dis satisfied… the portion was not that great. The broth was ok but not to my liking… kind of bland. And to top it off, the spring rolls came the same time I was making my final sip of the bowl. practically when I was done eating my phở. Oh, and one more thing, my elegant, fine glass of water was not refilled even once, nor did they check to see if wee needed anything such as more water. The place is nice dont get me wrong, but I wasnt to keen on the portion and some of the service. This is not a bash. Just saying how I feel. I said it before and I’ll say it again. I don’t eat somewhere for the elegance of the ambience, as long as you back it up with quality and service. Probably won’t be back anytime soon as I rather go elsewhere. where i’d get more bang for the buck. If you in Kapolei, there’s phở n co. right across the st. by the theaters and there Phở 808 in Kapolei shopping center. I would suggest checking them out first. Other than that if you dont mind driving to Waipahu for a rewarding bowl of Phở, go to Phở Bistro as it is IMO the best phở on the west side of Oahu. Much more tastier and more bang for the buck!

After hearing about this place from a few family members and friends, my fiancé and I decided to give it a try the other night. Being a fan of the Phở place across from Pearl Ridge mall(Cuu Long), I was interested to see what this place could serve up and how it might compare. We ended up arriving after 8pm, but was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant is open until 9pm everynight. After walking through the door the décor had me pausing at the entrance to make sure we walked into the right place. The walls were painted neutral and warm colors and the whole layout of the restaurant was modern and nice. The tables were spaced out appropriately with enough table variation to accommodate large parties. The place was clean and well lit with new and assorted light fixtures. (Having been in that same location when it was a Chinese restaurant, the change in appearance was staggering to say the least!) We were then seated right away(there was no one else there at 8:15pm on a Thursday night, plus they just recently opened). The first thing I noticed was the nice and comfy chairs. It was the type of chair you can seat in for hours and not have your«bum» hurting! The table was set nicely with chopsticks, napkins, and side glass dish that was almost japanese in style. The sauces were all there in a neat row on the side of the table(no «plum sauce» like at Cuu Long though!) and included a chili paste/sauce made in-house. The portions were pretty much the same of what weve experienced at other Phở places and the prices were not bad. I had the medium combination phở for $ 6.90. It tasted very good, even before my add in of the hosoi sauce. The manager had said that the chef uses the bone in the cooking,(which currently only 2 other Phở restaurants do). It did seem more tasty than other phở I have had. My fiancé had the special: chicken curry with rice noodles for around $ 9. It came in a large bowl and was very flavorful. He added the homemade chili sauce to it and definitely added a kick to it.(I think he sweating at one point :)) As for the service, the server was attentive and friendly. She gave us time to enjoy our food and didnt wait too long to refill our glasses of water and bring the check when we were ready. All in all, the experience was very good and we’ll be headed back there soon-especially since its right down the road from where we live. Head there now and take advantage of the«Free Spring Roll» special when you dine in. Also, keep an eye on this place because they are planning on opening up their«Shabu Shabu» style tables in the near future.
