Great views and amazing food! Come here after you are finished golfing… The cookies and milk dessert is also to die for!!!

Very good service and the sandwich was delicious. However the bar had a bit of a funky smell coming from it and the wind was blowing.

I have been to many Roy’s locations throughout my travels. It seems as this concept is just living off their good reputation from days gone by. This location was dated, run down and had low standards of cleanliness, service and low food quality. I’m done with this brand.

Went here for my birthday dinner. We got truffle brussel sprouts for apps, so good! For dinner I ordered the pesto onaga with a little namasu & lomi tomato & rice. My husband ordered the 3 ocean treasure plate(fish, scallops & shrimp). Small portions but delicious. Got the chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream for dessert. They also gave me a cupcake for my birthday which I took home. My husband got the macadamia tart which is similar to a pecan tart. Our server TJ was awesome. He explained everything & was attentive & sweet. Everyone there was so nice. Even the cooks waved goodbye when we left. Wonderful experience. Clearly the best Roy’s!

So so delicious! High price but worth it for an extra special occasion! We are here for our anniversary while on vacation. We got appetizers, sushi, entrees and dessert. The chocolate soufflé was to die for– super rich! We made a reservation and walked right in, though it wasn’t very busy on a Sunday night. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it seemed like 10 minutes before our server came(though the water boys came by and got us water as well as some edamame) and another 15 – 20 minutes we were simply waiting on our check. Other than that service was great. Good clean, nice restaurant.

Late post Reservation was for my parents 25th anniversary. Beautiful environment. Friendly employees who are very accommodating. Our waiter was Chad who made our experience at Roy’s a memorable one. The food was delicious! They have a deal that comes with a 3-appetizer sampler, one entrée, and a dessert. It’s pricey so it’ll probably be a while until we come here again. If I had the money I would come at least once a year. Don’t forget to take advantage of the Unilocal offer for a free chocolate soufflé!

Roy’s is one of my all time favorite restaurants, and I love that this location is open for lunch. Making reservations is a breeze thanks to Open Table. Situated at Koolina Golf Course, the views from the restaurant are amazing, as Koolina Golf Course is one of the island’s première golf courses. As far as the menu goes, the lunch menu is a lot smaller than the dinner menu, and a few of their signature items on their dinner menu are not available during lunch. But if you want to order something on the dinner menu, just ask, and if you’re lucky, they may be able to accommodate you. The hubby and I shared the BLTA(bacon, lettuce, tempura island ahi, avocado) sandwich and charred honey mustard beef shortrib. The BLTA was EXCELLENT — i would definitely order this again. Ask them for the tempura ginger ponzu dipping sauce. The sandwich is great on its own, but the dipping sauce takes it to the next level. The shortribs were ono — tender enough where no knife is needed. My BFF also ordered and enjoyed the BLTA, and her fiancé ordered the misoyaki butterfish. You can never go wrong with Roy’s butterfish. They cook and season it to perfection. For dessert, we ordered two chocolate souffles(it’s not on the lunch menu, but if you ask for it they’ll check with the kitchen to see they can make it for you). They also surprised us with two coconut flavored bar desserts since we were celebrating an anniversary and birthday. Service: 5 Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Parking: free and plentiful Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal to take advantage of their check-in offer: free chocolate soufflé!

Anna Thomas said, «We all eat and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly!» Amen. When given the choice of having pizza, a taco, or something from the convenience store when in Koolina, remember that you have the opportunity to have something top-notch at Roy’s. Lots of free parking out front too. Briefly thought about going to Longboards… Read the reviews and decided to pass. If you have lived here for any length of time and are not a tourist, the allure of having an ocean view while dining does not outweigh expensive, so so food and difficult parking. Roy’s has happy hour from 2 to 5PM. Live entertainment started close to five. OK I admit my cousin Ryan works here so we got some extra appetizers on the house. Thanks Phil! We especially liked the butterfish and cream cheese roll tempura battered and fried served in a beure blanc sauce. Yumminess! Who would’ve thought of putting cream cheese into a sushi roll! Also had the nigiri-tuna, hamachi and salmon, the ribs(3 meaty tender ribs) and the garlic shrimp and fries. Draft beer is $ 4.25 and they’ve got Stella and Modelo. Seated outside on their outdoor covered lanai with restful views of the green grass and ponds of the golf course –pretty! When in Koolina a great choice!

This Ko’olina location has always been tremendous. The parking situation hasn’t been a problem and with plenty free stalls to go around compared to the numbers at Hawaii Kai. The service is outstanding here, but don’t think I’m bias because in out party of six is a fellow member of this fine establishment. We were treating a fellow coworker to a night out for covering our butts at work most of this year so coming here was a good fit for our group. Started at the bar because game 6 of the Golden State vs Oklahoma City was still going. Drinks were prompt and delivered with Aloha. Once the game was done, we were escorted to our table for six. This place is great for couples and large parties. They have tables of many sizes and 2 party rooms for bigger groups. On the menu… well we let our friend who works here order for us. Honestly, I can’t remember all that came out but there was CHOKE food… starting with pupus… about 3 different sushi rolls, and 4 appetizers… I can only remember the mochi Ahi, and this mushrooms with cheesy bread dish… oh… everything was ono… then our meals came out… rib eye with garlic shrimp, pork belly, the steamed opakapaka, rack or lamb and these huge tender scallops dish. We did O’hana style and had a taste of each plate. EVERYTHINGWASONO! For me, this best was between the pork belly and the scallops… Hoo Brah! Wait that’s not all… when finished dinner, dessert came out like 20mins later… we didn’t realize the time because we were too busy talkin’ story but here’s what I remember… the chocolate molten cake, pineapple upside down cake, bread pudding, something with berries, and a lilikoi cake with a scoop of ice cream on every plate. BRAH… we came rollin’ out of this place. Let me end with the service. Usually when places like this get busy, you’ll see a look of worry or anxiety on the workers faces’. For here, we came on a really busy evening… the place was buzzing with people and 1 wedding party in one of the large rooms. Roy’s staff is trained to help where you see help is needed. Yes each section had one server but the supporting staff that helps the entire restaurant is amazing. From busing plates, refilling drinks, taking orders, checking on each parties food and experience… all done with a smile and genuine aloha. I didn’t notice one party within my viewing distance ask for a waiter or waitress because someone was always checking a table… like how bees work together in a hive. I have been here before for other occasions and experienced the same level of service. Didn’t order like this day, but a drive to Roy’s Ko’olina is totally worth your time. With tip expect to pay around 80 – 100 per person if you eat and drink like me. There are other cheaper options, but honestly when you come to a place like Roy’s, make sure you have saved some Kala before you come… again it is totally worth the experience. Grind On! Pau!

Great service and great food! Ordered the fixed menu and was amazed. The sampler included a spring roll, tuna(my fave), and ribs. My entrée was the short ribs — recommended by our waiter — and it didn’t disappoint. They were served over a bed of mashed potatoes and with a side of veggies. They also gave us a side or taro(poi) yet it’s an acquired taste due to its texture. For dessert I ordered the chocolate soufflé(also part of the fixed menu). I don’t remember what the other dessert would be but you should definitely order the soufflé! It melted in your mouth and was served with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream! Service was amazing and so accommodating of our 8 person table! Would highly recommend!

Always great service at the Ko Olina location! Tonight’s order: Crispy Crabcakes– packed w crabmeat, that’s a definite plus. Miso Butterfish– Usual order! Always cooked well, never overcooked, accompanied w/baby bok Choy, lotus root salad n surrounded w/a sweet ginger wasabi butter sauce. Tell me you don’t want to eat that?!! And the reviews are right… Never leave w/out dessert. Chocolate soufflé all around for my friends & I! Free soufflés after check-in. Regardless, free or not… we never leave without ending our dinners w/the soufflé. Tonight, we each had one to ourselves. Lol!

Amazing food — the butterfish, crispy appetiser duo, and the mochi tuna were all spectacular. The service was excellent. Roy’s is definitely the best restaurant in the Ko Olina area! There is a free shuttle which can take you here from any of the resorts in the Ko Olina area. Only complaint: my husband didn’t love the view(overlooking dry/yellowed lawn).

First time trying this place and everyone was so happy with their entrées. We had a reservation for 8, they seated us right away. Most places like this won’t split the bill but our waiter did and he used our Ko’olina coupon we got for going to the Marriott meeting for timeshare. They had a good deal plate for $ 51 that gets you a appetizer trio which everyone loved the ribs, an entrée and a dessert. Unilocalers check in and get a free chocolate soufflé which is the most popular dessert on the menu. I got the 16 Oz ribeye and shrimp and it was amazingly good, so good that I ate everything. Everyone loved their food and they said the fish was really good and tasty. I definitely will be back here again, you get what you pay for and we definitely left with a full happy belly.

We got a gift card for a wedding gift for Roy’s and had of course heard it’s a must in Hawaii. Well it did not disappoint. For being such a busy restaurant, we were seated immediately and our server was always attentive. In fact, his whole demeaner made us feel very special the entire time which was actually rare on our honeymoon believe it or not. The scallops I had were out of this world and I can attest to the fact that this location does the best scallops dish compared to the one in San Francisco. We also ordered the soufflé since it seemed to be what you do at Roy’s. It was just ok but the nice surprise was the extra dessert the chef gave us as a honeymoon present. As you can guess from the review, the customer service and food was top notch for our experience. I’d definitely go again.

When we stay at AULANI hotel, we usually come over here for enjoying a dinner. Because Roy’s is the only decent restaurant around the Ko Olina area. I love Roy’s Crab cakes to start off! I usually choose lambs from Entrée! Don’t forget to order chocolate soufflé which you can get free by checking in! Thank you Unilocal

Awesome dinner experience here. Our first time here and I expect many many more visits to come. Started of with happy hour pupus and some drinks after arriving at 4. Saw one of our favorite waiters from Naupaka terrace, Scott super cool braddah. Lots of aloha. He was working the outside bar. We had reservations at 5 and the hostess came to get us for dinner. Again great staff. Ginger our waitress was awesome and the bus boy was a really really nice guy. Kelsey is his name. In fact I went off his recommendation and had the hoisin lamb. Winnah! All in all the food was amazing the desert well what can I say chocolate soufflé. A Must have! Steph and I had a wonderful meal at Roy’s koolina and we will be back. Ty the manager for the evening came by and we had a great conversation. A great four year anniversary dinner with the love of my life. Much Aloha to the staff at Roy’s koolina!

Everything from start to finish was perfection! Last week my spouse and I took his grandmother here for dinner on her birthday and we loved it here! I have been to the Roy’s restaurant before in San Diego numerous times but never at this location prior to this visit. My mom has a house right down the street so it was our go to choice for such a special occasion. The ambience was serene and cool, we sat outside on the patio overlooking the golf course. There was live music being played on the guitar to give a more laid back feel. The food was SOGOOD. We started off with the tortilla soup which is not your typical taste when you think of tortilla soup. But it was still yummy. The crab cakes were to die for!!! It only comes with two but it was too perfect. And they also bring complimentary edamame to the table. Two of us ordered the filet mignon and it was delicious. Roy’s may not be a steak house but they definitely are competition. It is served with a blue cheese on top and mixed vegetable and mashed cauliflower. Excellent. My spouse had sushi and it was so fresh and flavorful! Bar none, the best thing we ate was the chocolate soufflé! It has days since we’ve eaten there and some point throughout the day it comes to my mind and I smile. I would go back just for that. And I probably will. Coming here you should know this is a fine dining establishment, so expect to pay accordingly. I think it is all worth the price. But all in all the service was the best part. Scott our server made it more than just a meal but an experience. He was so personable and goofy we all had a great time chatty with him. Scott was so attentive and had awesome recommendations, especially for cocktails. Overall, I’ve always been a fan of Roy’s and will continue to be a patron. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a beautiful meal.

For Roy’s Manager’s quick reply and the fact that I did go back to a different Roy’s on the island within the last 10 days for their yummy soufflé, I’m upping my rating here. When you think about the number of stars and the wording Unilocal uses, I initially felt that my review was fair — two stars means«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» and I HAD experienced better at Roy’s Waikiki and Roy’s San Francisco. However, I’ll lean in to the Manager’s suggestion that my dining companions and I probably had a very odd & off-experience when we dined at this Ko Olina location. This location is highly reviewed, has views of the Ko’Olina golf course area, and delivers good food more than not(see the rave reviews of other Unilocalers), so please DO give it a shot if you’re in this area or looking for an alternative around Aulani.

Dining here at Roy’s, sure brings back WONDERFUL memories! My 30th bday, my daughter’s16th bday, my mom’s 6oth bday. Love the memories & now to many more memories! Staying a week at Marriott Ko’olina Beach club, I had to add this place to our schedule. Its only a 5 minute drive vs. a hour drive from town. It’s such a treat, to dine here! Out of the other 2 locations,(Waikiki & Hawaii Kai) I like this location best. The view & dining seem more romantic than the other 2 restaurants. Reservations are recommended. We wasn’t sure what time we can make it out to Roys, When I called that afternoon– the hostess said it was ok to walk in for party of 2. Perfect, we walked in at 8& got seated by the lovely hostess. Service was awesome, when we got our menus to the end of our meal. FYI– Soybeans are complimentary What I noticed about this visit, The Pre Fix menu. I guess its been years since we last dined @ Roy’s between the celebrations. I really like the choices of the pre fix menu @ 49.00 per person, a great price! My other half decided upon the Pre Fix menu– which includes: appetizer trio of ahi katsu, ribs, & spring roll. salmon with bok choy & somen noodles, (For entrée: 1 of 3 choices) & the famous chocolate soufflé. My other half enjoyed everything! I wanted crab cakes & butterfish, therefor, I didn’t order the pre fix menu. The crab cake was so delicious! I miss eating crab cake & this sure hit the spot. The crab cake is very crispy, love that its breaded. 2 crab cake– 19.00 The butterfish, cooked perfectly! so soft and flavored just right! I also love the wasabi aioli sauce. & I got my chocolate soufflé compliments of Unilocal check in. Thanks Unilocal! As we love our rice! me & my other half, Our salmon & butterfish needs starch/rice! If you need rice like us, rice is available. side order– 4.00 a bowl. Along with our meals, we need to have our alcohol. so we both decided on beers! We really enjoyed our dining experience, just the 2 of us, no kids —(just for that night) A time for us to chat, catch up, enjoying time together & creating new memories @ Roy’s. I can’t wait for our next visit! 2016 #3/Yelp 100 Challenge
