I used to go to visible changes until I moved out to Katy and was recommended to Aurea by a friend. I asked for a color specialist and got Whitley as my stylist. I have been to her twice since because she’s done such an excellent job! Way better than any of the visible changes experiences I had. I just got a full head of highlights and she makes sure that she understands the exact color and look that you are going for and will work with you to give you what you want! Would recommend this salon to anyone!

I had a manicure/pedicure done here on Saturday. First of all the manicurist was rude… Acted like taking off my shellac was an inconvenience. The actual pedicure and manicure were anything but luxurious — supposed to be a relaxing hour each, I could have had a better experience going to any other nail salon in the area for a fraction of the cost. Oh and my nail polish is already chipped on both my toes and my nails. I DONOT recommend this spa.

Good: They sell aveda products, so if you need ‘em, this is where to get ‘em. Eh: They offer a «complimentary service» during hair cuts/color. The options are things like hand massage, head massage, quick aroma therapy… I pick one each time, they never remember to actually give it. Pedicure: it’s ok. It isn’t set apart from any quickie nail place at all. The massage was less than 5 min, whole thing about 30 min. Bad: Tangee for color — stay away blondes! She comes straight from Visible Changes, not a salon that I believe harbors talent or promotes proper color treatment or education. Tall, spikey haired, tattooed hair dresser — only does cuts. Also straight from Visible Changes(the fantastic sams of the south), she can’t cut hair. I had to have my cut fixed twice after she botched it. Bottom line: try Emmanuel salon in la centerra. It’s right around the park and they promote education and most of their stylists and colorists are Toni and Guy trained.

Had a great experience here. Got highlights and a cut for a reasonable price. Codi was very sweet and we chatted the whole time. They offered me a beverage during my appointment. Overall, a wonderful place. I will be going back!

I’ve had two good experiences there. The receptionist is nice and helpful. My haircuts have been great. Creative Director Cassie cut my hair last and I love it. Will be going back!

I have been getting my haircuts with Nora for past few years. She is excellent :-) The place of business is welcoming and friendly. The products not only have a wonderful scents but are actually good for your hair.

I went in for the very first time in search of a new hair stylist in Houston and set up an appointment with Creative Director Collene. The place was not crowded as it was expected on a Monday morning. Receptionist and hair stylist was friendly and courteous. My haircut was as I had asked her and what I am used to getting from my old stylist I had to part ways with in Aveda in Denver, CO. Overall, works well for my needs and keeps me from driving too far. I’ll probably try few other places in near future just to be able to compare, but I’m kind of hooked to Aveda concepts, so other places would be a hard sell!

It’s a nice place. The hairdryers from the ceiling are cool. The fact that my hair was not cut straight and my color wasn’t that great was not cool. I will not go back.
