Off the bat the plates had pieces if crust on them and no one even cleaned them off. The pizza looked good but it wasnt… I mean it was just bad pizza… Better places out there.

I love Johnny’s, but it’s closed now. So sad. We will miss it a great deal. It was my go to place for a quick supper. Take and bake was great.

Absolutely love the pizza. The service was exceptional. New cashier was super sweet and helpful. Will go back. Just discovered this place and now it’s closed… :-(

I went here not knowing this was also a buffet — I chose that option so I could try various flavors, but was extremely disappointed.

I’ve always eaten Johnny’s whenever I went to Louisiana for a visit. That was one of the only places you could find this location until they put one here in Katy. I will say the pizza is still good and the atmosphere of this place was pretty decent for a pizzeria. For the first time ever, I had a Sweep the Kitchen pizza, which includes 11 of their popular toppings. I was really impressed with the taste of all the toppings put into one, and the way the pizza is cut. It is cut into rectangular pieces, which I found unique. Even though the staff was a little slow when I ate here, the pizza was delicious and the toppings had a great taste to them. I have also tried the buffet here one time, which was alright if you wanted a salad or some other pizza. If you’re looking for a Johnny’s pizza and think it’s impossible to find one in Texas, come to this location in Katy. Service could improve, but I did enjoy the pizza choices and buffet.

I got an email to try Johnny’s again. I went for lunch on Sunday and could not find a clean table so I moved some dirty plates to the side on a booth so I could sit down. They did have enough pizza on the buffet but it seemed like 4 different kinds repeatedly. The Mac and cheese had solidified around the spoon and the tomatoes on the salad bar were rotten. I was really surprised that no one ever check on the food while I was there. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. I will never be back!

Taste was meh… Maybe it tastes better if delivered hot and fresh. Pizza got stuck to the bottom of the box, had to eat it with a fork. Not impressed.

Buffet pizza, basically a CiCi’s Pizza by another name. Great pizza? I think not. Cheap pizza? Definitely that. Kids to feed? This will certainly do the trick as I have 4 but I won’t be coming back. Don’t care for the after taste I now have. Nice staff, clean place. They had a little trouble keeping up with the buffet and place was not busy.

Well this is our first time here. So far, not impressed. For a friday night there are only a few patrons. We have been waiting for 35 mon for our 2 pizzas and so far nothing. The young lady at the register keeps apologizing to a customer who is complaining. It appears they are inundated with to go orders while we wait. I purchased a salad bar to fill the time. Well that was a mistake. The fruit was soaked in slimey water and most bins were empty. Unless this is the most amazing pizzain the world when it out, we wont be back. Pizza was just ok. Wont be back

The Hog Heaven is just awesome! Love the andouille sausage on it! Over all. Everybody in the family lives this place and they all have their own favorites, I’m sure you will too. Plus they have a buffet for those that have more then one. Just requeste it if you don’t see it and they will get it out. Only two ways they can improve the location in Katy, bigger seating area(but that’s just because of how good the food is) and fresh Jalapeños instead of pickled ones. Great food and great staff! Oh they also have local craft beer! Give it a try.

Best pizza in Katy hands down. Friendly staff, food made fresh to order, clean, great atmosphere. My favorite is their Hog heaven and Peach Pudding pie! :) Also!!! I have taken a tour of their kitchen and guess what?! No heat lamps. They do not make their pizza early and let it sit under anything. They are passionate about creating great food and delivering great service. Keep up the great work Johnny’s! Y’all are amazing.

Quite easily THE worst pizza buffet in town. Makes CiCi’s look like gourmet pizza. During our 40 minute stay(during lunch on a Saturday), not a single, hot pizza was put on the buffet. Replacement pizzas are made ahead of time and kept warm under a heat lamp. Very disappointing.

Went there today with my son, wings and pizza. ½ pepperoni and ½ whole hog with jalapeños, and a order of bbq bone in wings and a salad bar. Salad bar was ok, only few other people in the place but our order took forever. Both the pizza and wings were overcooked. The whole hog had a few green flakes of pepper and did not have any kick to it at all, not a lot of cheese, and like I said over cooked, had better frozen pizza. Will give it one more shot before I write it off.

This place is awful! Lettuce mix on the salad bar was slimy and was replaced by another tub of semi-wilted lettuce. Toppings were crumbs at the bottom of each container. Pizza buffet was decorated with five different burnt-to-the-crisp pizzas. Macaroni and cheese was baked to the pan. Bottom line — do not go here.

Good pizza and muffulettas. Lunch-time buffet 7 days a week. My wife brought some pepperoni pizza back to the house one night. I liked it, but didn’t think it was tastier than any other pizza I have had. I was in the area a few weeks later, and stopped by to try a muffuletta. The muffuletta was good, but I still prefer the muffulettas at Jason’s Deli over JPH. As I was waiting for my sandwich, I noticed the salad and pizza bars. Both were relatively small, but the food looked fresh. I also saw a chalkboard above the registers that showed a great selection of local beers. I am now planning my next visit to try some local beers and the«sweep the kitchen» pizza that everyone is talking about.

Yes, yes and yes! The wife has declared it the«perfect pizza crust». I agree. It’s stiff, crispy, not too thin, not too thick and holds up with the heft of the toppings on the Sweep the Kitchen. The sweep the kitchen pizza is exactly what you think it would be… everything on top. It’s what I have always ordered, so it’s the only pizza I can speak on from here. Generous helpings of pepperoni, mushrooms, ham, black olives, onions, sausage, anchovies, hamburger, bell peppers and jalapeños, all crowned with 100% real mozzarella cheese! And their signature rectangle cut slices may seem a bit odd at first but they are soooo much easier to eat than the triangle ones you know. I love their sauce too. It pops with sweet tomato, not over herbed and heavy. I often ask for extra sauce at other pizza places. I never have had to here. Why 4 and not 5 stars? We got here at shift change. Stood at the counter where you order for 5 minutes or more before anyone noticed us. There were a couple employees who it seemed had just gotten off shift and were eating at a table in the back. One looked at me and spoke and then went back to eating. Uh, hello? You have customers. Once the shift changed and the evening group came on, the grown ups seemed to be running the show. Then we got terrific service and a pleasant visit from the manager at our table. Don’t waste your time on the buffet. Pizza buffets always suck no matter how good the pizza usually is. I say this because I read the 1 star reviews and they were almost all for the buffet. Get yourself a fresh from the oven pizza. THAT’S how pizza is supposed to be eaten anyway. Please don’t judge the quality of this pizza on a lousy pizza buffet. Craft beers from local breweries which was very nice. Serve yourself sodas and tea. Salad bar, muffalettas(which I recall being good) and my favorite for parties and sports gatherings at the house — take and bake pizza! That’s right! The perfect pizza hot from your oven at home. Large Sweep the Kitchen $ 20. Coupons online if you look. Order online too. I lived in Shreveport for a few years and basically lived on Johnny’s Pizza. When a friend told me they had opened a franchise in Katy I prayed it would be the same pizza I remembered from those days. I was so happy to discover that it was the same perfect pizza from back then.

I grew up on Johnny’s pizza in Louisiana. Trust me this place does pizza right. From pepperoni to swep the kitchen you can’t go wrong. Johnny’s is the best pizza anywhere.
