Slooooooooow dinner service. Took 20 minutes to get a bottled beer from the bar. Waiter disappears for 15 minutes at a time. Food was ok but not worth the wait.

Me and my Fiancée went here Dinner on Friday for Our Date Night, There was a wait so we sat at the Bar. The Bartender was Great I don’t remember his Name, he checked on us periodically but not to the point it was annoying and also making sure our Food was Good. I had Flo’s Filet and Lobster Tail, needless to say it was A Great Night!

Stopped by here for dinner Saturday night and there is was no wait! Seated immediately! Drinks quick fast! Appetizers were brought out fast(stuffed mushrooms A– good stuff) Our waiter(wish I would of caught his name) was great! He had a pretty full section and I watched him move quickly from table to table! Bread was a just ok. I had the steak and lobster my steak was cooked perfectly! My lobster was a little under cooked, but I still finished it! We had great service and for it being our first time I will be back! Again wish I caught his name! Blonde older gentleman with glasses! Next time I’ll ask him his name!

I thought the food was good and cooked to my requested termination — unlike our go to place down the street. I had the sirloin with shrimp and loved the garlic butter for the shrimp. The décor is more upscale –like a lodge — than Roadhouse. Service was good and the manager came by to make sure we were happy

I was in the Katy area on business and had a craving for steak. Longhorn was close to my hotel and I was in no mood for the traffic… So Longhorn it was! The food turned out to be what one expects. Very good but not exceptional. The ribeye steak was tender and full of flavor. The baked potato was average with tough skin. I enjoyed the corn fritters as an appetizer with my beer. The only reason I’m writing this review is because of my server, Dominick. I eat out a lot on my trips and he was one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. Attentive, not overbearing and not fake friendly like so many are to boost tip potential. Ask for his section, he will help make it a great visit! Thanks!

My first time dining here and it was very tasty! No wait and food came out in a decent time. The sweet potato was good and the Mac n cheese. I got a 6oz sirloin steak and it was cooked medium-well rather than medium… which is what I ordered, but I ate it anyways cause it was good.

After being totally spoiled during Longhorn Steakhouse’s Unilocal Steak-cation this summer, I was looking forward to returning as a paying customer and get a mean lean grilled steak! I was definetly pleased after my visit to the Katy location. My mom contacted me early Sunday morning and wanted to to take me out to celebrate my impending passage of my school counseling examination. I don’t have a favorite restaurant– I just let my taste buds do the deciding. That day the only thing on my mind was steak! We arrived after church around 3:30 and the place was not packed at all. However, it wasn’t a ghost town, so that was a sigh of relief that the food was decent. We did wait a while before being acknowledged at the hostess stand, but someone finally came to the front and seated us. Service by our waitress was super friendly and hospitable. When we ordered our drinks, we decided to get an appetizer courtesy of the Unilocal Steak-cation coupon I received in June. Although it expired in July, it also had October 2015 as the expiration date as well. I was assured it would be honored, which it was. We decided to partake in the Crab and Artichoke dip which was rich and delish! I had to stop eating it and drinking that refreshing blackberry lemonade to save room for my salad and entrée. I must say that all the cuts of steak only begin to encompass how profound the menu is. Lots of choices and variety. You can even customize your steam with sauces and toppings. Mom and I decided to get the Porterhouse for 2 which is around $ 45 bucks. Only thing is, we read the description of the item thinking that we both received 2 sides of our own. No. You get one side each. The premium sides such as Mac and Cheese and the Grilled Corn costs extra to substitute. Since I had already tasted the mac and cheese at the Steak-cation event, I opted for the Grilled Corn that many Unilocalers raved about at Steak-cation. Honestly, it was below my expecatations. Way too much Chile powder and not much butter. It took away from the Grilled corn. The greatest disappointment was seeing one steak come to the table instead of two. Not only was I trying to figure out how to cut this side of cow with the knife but wondering how we’d share this steak… sure we could have shared it, but we weren’t in the mood to share. We told the waitress about our misunderstanding and asked if the steak could be sent back. She assured us that our order change would be fine and the manager would take care of it. Instead, we ordered the Wild West Shrimp for my Mom to indulge in and I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Sirloin with a side of loaded baked potatoes. The first bite of the steak swimming in a bed of cheesy greasy potatoes was music to my tastebuds. Unfortunately, the appetizer, drinks, and Beefsteak Tomato and Bacon Salad had taken residence in my stomach. I ate two bites of the steak and had to put it in my doggie bag to eat the next day. We had plenty of the wild west shrimp left as well and divided it up amongst the two of us for next day’s sustenance. We left a nice tip because we not only received exceptional and understanding service, we were charged very generously with the check. We pretty much paid for the steak and the drinks. The apps and extra sides were knocked off the check! We even had the manager open the door for us as we left and bid us a great evening before leaving. Most importantly, the steak the next day was still moist and tender. The grilling was done to perfection on the steak while the cheesy and gooey presence of the loaded potatoes made a great compliment to my steak despite being overloaded with streams of butter, but what the hey?! I don’t eat like this all the time so I devoured my meal and was incredibly fat full with satisfaction! I could be picky and say the food was a little on the greasy side(cornbread croutons and overloaded baked potatoes being my example), whose afraid of a little grease, butter, and fat? Not I. Was raised on it and don’t eat like this everyday, but when you do, Longhorn Steakhouse is worth a try in satisfying the rich n greasy side of your palette.

It’s the Red Lobster of Steak Houses… certainly better than Outback or Texas Roadhouse… but mediocre all the same. I’d much rather pay more for quality service and a true dining experience. As big as Katy is becoming… they need higher end chains or even better… a LOCAL Steakhouse would be really nice!

Later dinner(9pm) on a Friday night so the crowds had thinned. We were greeted and seated immediately. The waitress was helpful with suggestions and on point all night. Cocktails: Mojito — fair, it was very clear which leads me to believe the muddling was at a minimum so the flavor was a little bland. BlackBerry Firefly Tea– refreshing and sweet! I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so sweet but it was very good and will be repeated. Appetizer: Parmesan Crusted asparagus… are you kidding? This stuff is awesome! The plate had greater than 2 dozen tender stalks, lightly breaded and fried, with shavings of parmesan. It’s served with a tangy dip that is a good mix. Just good food right here folks. Dinner: Porterhouse for 2, served with salads and 2 sides. First let me say the house salad is a good full size with cold crisp lettuce, chopped cucumbers and tomatoes. The blue cheese dressing is creamy without being clumpy. Without further ado let’s get to the main event. This porterhouse was cooked perfectly. Medium Rare just as requested. Advantage to the tender filet, but the whole of the steak was tasty, nicely seasoned and hard not to just pick up the bone and nom. It’s served with a BBQ sauce mixed at the table– I am not a fan as I think a steak. should stand on its own, but my husband liked it. His quote«it’s a unique tangy blend…» I told him to keep his day job. :-)

I can’t call it terrible service. We never got that far. We were seated waited 15 to 20 minutes waiter passed by our table several times but never acknowledge us. We got up and left. No one seemed to care. Will never return. We ended up at Texas Roadhouse a few doors down best service ever. They went way out if their way to take care of us.

Longhorn Steakhouse wasn’t my choice for lunch, but I got out-voted. At noon on a Sunday the place was almost deserted, though the pouring rain outside may have contributed somewhat. We started with some of the Crispy Jalapeño Shooters and the Sweet Corn Fritters. The shooters are cheese-stuffed jalapenos served with an avocado-lime dip. I didn’t think the jalapenos themselves were all that spectacular(like the frozen ones I buy at Kroger), but the dip was delicious. The fritters, on the other hand, were awesome. These things are crispy bites of sweet corn served with a red chili ranch. The crispy batter was great, and I really liked the ranch as well, even if it was only slightly spicy. For my entrée I picked their White Cheddar and Bacon Stuffed Filet. Who could resist something as glorious as that? I also got a loaded baked potato for my side and a Caesar salad to go with it. The salad was pretty nice with fresh shaved Parmesan. It would have been better if it hadn’t come out ice cold though. The potato was hot and fluffy, with plenty of toppings to go around. They were both good, but nothing to write home about. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out closer to medium rare. At least it wasn’t overcooked I suppose. I loved the crumbly cheddar and crispy bacon. It was more of a topping than a stuffing, but really tasty nonetheless. I might have to try to make this at home. My wife’s salad was the most gigantic salad I’ve ever seen. It was enough for at least two people to share as a meal. She was happy with it, so that’s good enough for me. There are obviously better steakhouses in Houston, but Longhorn will do in a pinch.

Will never go back! 30 min wait. Once seated, 30 min to take our order. Out of lemonade. Out of bread. Cesar salad was dry. Waitress said they were out of dressing so chef was rationing it. Supposedly stock shipment went to a different location. Out of printer paper on one credit card machine so had to redo. Got charged the wrong amount so they had to credit and redo. Gave me both receipts and asked to call in a few days if there’s a problem. They are in desperate need of better management! In regards to the food, it wasn’t hot. Just barely warm. And to make it worse… Soooooo bland! I ordered the 8oz filet w the mushroom risotto and the portion of the risotto was mediocre. About 3 tablespoons. The salad, as I already mentioned was horrible. I don’t usually put a lot of dressing but it was inexistant in some of the pieces. The sampler platter appetizer was not worth it. Popcorn shrimps were dripping oil. 3 small mushrooms and 4 taquito halves were $ 11. Sister had the renegade steak with shrimp and rice. She said meat was flavorless. Rice was good. Shrimp were good too. Brother in law had the NY strip and also said it was barely warm and bland. French fries were like the frozen kind you buy at the store. Oh and did I fail to mention that they were out of toilet paper too?! Yeah…

My wife and I ate here right after they opened and I expected less than what I got. The service was excellent and the food very good. They are a steak chain such as an outback but I believe they are a step up. I expect to be returning.

I’ve eaten here on one other occasion and enjoyed the food and service. Today the husband and I came here for lunch and we were very pleased with our food and our server, Rachel. The drinks(long island iced tea, top shelf and the watermelon margarita) were so tasty. The food(shaved steak and cheese sandwich with salad and the wild west shrimp) were delicious. We’ll return !

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse on a gift card. As we walked in, I noticed the restaurant has a nice bar area with two TVs and a cowboy theme in the décor. Although LSH is based out of Georgia, you can’t tell by the interior. It definitely looks like Texas. We started with the chips and dip. The chips are homemade potato chips and were delicious. The dip was ok. I had the flat iron steak with stuffed portabella. It came with a tasty sauce, but I would have liked more with the steak. The steak and portabella was delicious. If this were the end of the review, I would give LSH a solid 4 stars. My wife and daughter had the«under 500 spinach feta chicken» and a half rack of baby back ribs. The ribs were the fall-of-the-bone type, but did not have much seasoning and the BBQ sauce could have had a bit more of a kick. Overall, the taste of both entrees was ok, but nothing special. For entrees, stick with the steak. The sides were good. I had the butternut squash risotto. It had a tasty cheesy taste that blended well with the squash cubes. My daughter enjoyed the broccoli cheddar soup. My family thought the steakhouse mac & cheese was good with the big chunks of bacon included in the cheese sauce, but told me they have had better mac & cheese. Unfortunately, all of the sides that I just mentioned were upcharges(premium sides). Together with our ice teas and milk, this accounted to $ 15 of the total $ 66 bill. The premium sides are almost twice as big as they should be… why can’t LSH half the portions and not upcharge? I would completely agree with Marvin’s review that LSH is a mid-level steakhouse. The problem is that unless you have only water for drinks and basic sides, LSH prices are way too high against the competition. Service was good. A bit slow(considering the restaurant was halfway-full at the time), but good. My steak was delicious. Maybe I will return for another steak, a house salad, and some water. ;)
