Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store

A few years ago this store was absolutely beautiful. It had a fantastic staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Now when you walk in the store, all you see are people resembling gang bangers and not even one person greets you. The store manager is completely oblivious to the problems and has yet to institute any changes to the staff even though there have been never ending complaints. The store has fallen apart in less than two years and it’s a shameful store even in the already run down Katy mills Mall. Staff has no idea what they are doing, management is not too far off from the same mentality.

I did have an awkward experience with one of the salespersons however, but the other sales associate was very friendly and helpful and made my experience an overall good one!

Dashed in here in August, vowing not to go back. Happened to be in a store next door and saw that this place was crowded. Selection was the best ever. Bought a vest, shoes and jeans. Selection usually not that great for small sizes, the jeans I wanted were not in the size I needed but sales professional kind enough to check in the back and I proceeded with a pair of jeans that appeared to allow me to wiggle in them.
Fitting rooms clean, but no restrooms, need to go to NM for that. Not wise to eat or drink before shopping. Chairs in the men’s section for parking butts that have to wait for their SO to shop, good touch. Children’s section excellent but pricey. Construction on fabric is sketchy. Proceeded to checkout, knowing that two items were stated to be 40% off. Cashier disagreed with me, took her over to the shoe section that stated in BIG orange letters 40%, she said that was only for heels, I purchased flats, told her that was deceptive, another customer joined in and said the same thing, she ignored me, took her to the outerwear section showed her another 40% off tag, her manager told her she had to give me the discount price.
Got home and the vest still had the ink pouch with security tag on it, wow their alarms are stopping theft. Called and asked them if they were aware of this glitch of course the reply was bring it back tomorrow or go to the Galleria and someone will take it off for you.
Another trip back here and it is obvious they don’t need my repeat business. CS could have made an apology.

I’m not a fan, but I have to hand it to this store for creating a nice shopping experience. Polo is aspirational and therefore out of my comfortable spending limit. The clothes always look so preppy and well-​made. However, I would never put up with that logo across half of my chest — it’s so large!
Nevertheless, when I was here, the entire store was an additional 30% off. That might have just been a fortunate moment. So, the fourth star comes for excellent customer service — 3 employees acknowledged me as I was trying to find my roommate. The fitting rooms were easily accessible (3pm, summer Friday), and they were clean! Furthermore, plush overstuffed armchairs were available as I watched the Roomie running around finding and trying on various polo shirts. (Side question — please respond via note if you know — did Ralph Lauren originate the polo shirt, or was it around before he created the Polo brand?)
Four stars for the rare opportunity of being comfortable while waiting for another shopper.

I’m reviewing the children’s section. They have some pretty cheap, clearance items that are adorable, just with there was even more to choose from!

Until I am able to experience this place because they completed construction and added the Big and Tall section, this will only be a 3 star place. I did notice that they had many sales on many items in this store, so if you are a regular sized human, that has to be a plus.

WARNING. Entering this store will cause extreme addiction!
Ralph Lauren is my favorite designer. I love everything with his name on it!
I’m usually not interested in the «Last call» or «Factory» stores but this one has the same merchandise as Macys and the website. But at the fraction of the cost!
They have every color polo tee. With custom and classic fit. They also have an array or bottoms, jackets and button ups.
On the downside if your looking for something specific such as a belt or something of that sort its best to call ahead and check if its in stock because they may not have it.
