Super 8 Houston West Katy

We got here after 8 pm, received our military discount. They are doing quite a few upgrades. The parking lot is almost completely finished. Our room was neat and clean with recently painted walls. Carpet was very nice, ac worked without a hiccup. The lady at check in was absolutely wonderful (was going to walk me out because someone was out by the truck) my husband meets few strangers and was speaking to other guests. Breakfast had much to choose from. I believe they are recent owners and want to change the reputation.

Had to check in through the little ‘safety window’ even though it was only 8pm. Little man at check in took about 10 minutes to find my reservation. (in another room)
Questionable parking lot. Dried paint from a ‘remodel’ was spilled all over outside walkways. Carpet had a perfect iron outline burned into it. Rusty screw on bathroom sink. Room looked clean, but had that ‘dirty hotel’ feel to it.
When I pulled back the cover, I found this guy chilling on my pillow! (stink bug)
Didn’t get a very good night’s sleep, as I felt like things were crawling on me. Nothing was… it was purely my imagination, but what do you expect after being greeted by the above guest.
Funny thing is, this place is next to a very nice LaQuinta. Shoulda stayed there — the extra $ 40 would have been worth it.

Cheaper, Kinda dumpy, Hard to get to. Kinda feels unsafe. Right next to the highway. You can tell they get robbed sometimes. Probably wont ever stay there again. Glad my rental car was still there the next morning.
