Hands down the best bubble tea in Salem, don’t even bother looking or going anywhere else.

Sunny’s Teriyaki is by far the best quality, home-cooked flavor I have ever experienced, and let me tell you, I have been to A LOT of different teriyaki and Korean restaurants. I was reading the other reviews, and saw that out of nothing but 5 stars and positive reviews, one review claimed that their experience with the food was under par. HOWEVER, as a native Korean, I just wanted to clarify for others reading this review that bulgogi and Korean BBQ are completely and entirely different dishes, and should not be compared. Bulgogi is cooked on a skillet in any true Korean restaurant you can find, which means you will not have a dipping sauce, and most definitely should not find grill marks – otherwise it would not be authentic bulgogi beef. I have travelled across some of the finest restaurants in South Korea and can say with confidence that the bulgogi I had at Sunny’s is a worthy opponent!!! If you’re contemplating whether or not you should stop by, I say DEFINITELY give them a try – kindest, fastest, and most sincere service you can find nowadays, with a small but clean, comfortable atmosphere, and food made from the heart.

Had lunch special sweet and spicy chicken and gyoza. Came with 4 gyoza, good portion of chicken and a big salad, with an amazing salad dressing. I normally do not like salad but ate ate all. Very small seating area and very nice owners. Will definitely be back.

The fam was driving through Salem on the way to the coast and the Unilocal ratings caused me to overlook the unimpressive settings and continue to hold out hope when we ordered. I was not to find the repast of our dream here however. Walking in hungry, no expectations of spectacular food and you’ll probably be very happy. The food is prepared fresh, the service is friendly and quick and the prices are reasonable. It’s small but clean. Soda is served in a can from the cooler. So adequate, yes, 5 star??? My other challenge is I have had some really great Korean BBQ in other venues and having had that really set me up for disappointment here. It’s not something I eat very often because there are not any particularly good places that I know of near me. Perhaps I should go on a quest? I walked in the door hoping to taste«great» — Unilocal shows 5 stars with more than a dozen reviews. I’m really perplexed by the earlier ratings. To say this place has Korean BBQ is as accurate as saying Taco Bell has Mexican food. While the inspirations are the same, the execution is very different. When you only pay $ 4 at Taco Bell it feels like a fair trade, paying over $ 8 here didn’t seem like such a good trade off. This is one of the few times I feel I’ve been let down by my fellow Unilocalers. The beef was fairly bland and it was«grey» — lacking the grill marks and texture that I have come to expect from Korean BBQ. It seemed like it was boiled instead of grilled — and not at all appealing. It lacked many of the seasonings I was hoping for and there were no sauces or other sources of flavors to enjoy it with. A side of the teriyaki sauce helped a little but by that time I was trying to eat what I could and just get back on the road as soon as I could. Earlier reviews talked about being served with tempura shrimp but that wasn’t the case when I was there. They don’t offer a vegetarian option which also seems like a significant miss. My veggie daughter had the meatless noodles which weren’t bad but would have benefited from an infusion of real veggies. If I lived in the area and wanted an affordable take out dish this wouldn’t be a bad option. Doing you laundry and hungry? You can go next door and pick something to eat and not loose track of your clothes. I personally wont eat in here unless this was the only place I could walk to after my car broke down. Five stars? I don’t think so, not even close.

My bf and I have only lived in Salem for a few months and are still trying restaurants in our area. When he suggested Japanese food, I didn’t really feel like Love Love or sushi, so we decided to try out Sunny’s because of the high rating. We weren’t disappointed! The restaurant is very small, but cute and clean! The menu is simple and delicious. I had the chicken teriyaki, and my bf had the beef bulgogi. Both entrees came with rice and salad, which was clean, crisp, and had a really nice sesame dressing. The owners told us that everything is homemade; all the sauces were flavorful and so good! She also makes the bubble teas, which we got a chance to sample. They’re made with milk(as they should be) and the small taste I had of the milk tea was great – the boba was perfect. The owners are extremely nice, and the service was great! They are still trying to make their restaurant a success, and they definitely deserve it! Give this place a try next time you’re in Keizer or want Asian food. You won’t regret it.

Warning we didn’t have the food. My friends I went just for bubble tea. I ordered strawberry, one friend ordered peach and green tea, and my other friend got peach with all bubbles and lechi. All were wonderful. I like mine blended and they all were. They had many other flavors to choose from too, and you could combine them. I want to go back for the Terioky noodles. The atmosphere was clean, small, and nicely decorated. The service was friendly too. Glad for bubble tea in Keizer!

I just moved in around the corner from this little hole-in-the-wall. It is primarily take-out, but they have a bar and table. So far I’ve tried the bulgogi, the sweet and spicy chicken, the fried rice, Gyoza, the orange chicken, and the yakisoba. The owner also told me I would love their salad dressing and she was sooo right! The salad was just a mixed bag the first time we went, but last time it was finely shredded lettuce with no other veggies in it. I’d like to see the old salad come back, but all was very tasty.

Ate here twice when the original owner still owed it and it was good. It closed for awhile and now it is open again. I heard people who had Crema Sushi is the owner now. So here’s my review for the new owner-management. Very good spicy chicken and teriyaki chicken. The homemade kimchi & the salad dressing were Delish! Best teriyaki we’ve had in the Salem area.

Awesome food! First time, I got the sweet & spicy chicken and it was so good! I’ve never tried bubble tea and always been curious so I asked about it and the young lady was super nice, explained what it was and let me try a sample. I ended up ordering the green tea flavor and it rocks!

I decided to give this place a try and it was worth it. The inside is very nice and cozy. The menu has a pretty decent selection and it’s pretty tasty. The Gyoza was cooked perfectly and the salads have a delicious dressing. I’m not sure the flavor but I would guess peanut base. The bubble tea is made with real milk and they have a wide variety of favors.

This is a great little place to eat in or take out. The restaurant is owned and operated by the previous owners of Crema Sushi which was located in downtown Salem Oregon. They offer some different menu items than their previous restaurant such as sweet and spicy chicken, and chicken yakisoba(pan fried noodles). For those of you who are fans of traditional Korean fare such as Bibimbap or Bulgogi you won’t find anyone who can make it more delicious than Mrs. Kim. They also have real fruit smoothies and bubble tea. Although the name is similar to the orevious restaurant at this location, they do. not offer burgers on their menu. I hope you will visit Sunny’s Teriyaki restaurant soon… it’s a great little place tbat serves up deliciius food with big flavors.

Great food for great prices. Price range is about $ 6 to $ 9 for entrees and $ 2 to $ 5 for side dishes. Also some great options for Boba(bubble) tea. Food comes out quick and you can even enjoy some Korean dishes like Kimchi, Bibimbap and Bulgogi. Lunch specials also available from 11 to 2(Chicken Teriyaki, Orange Chicken and Sweet & Spicy Chicken each for $ 6)

My first time at this new restaurant. I had bacon cheese burger. The size was huge and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! I’ve tried many burgers, but this one is one of the top. Fries were also excellent! They are jumbo sized fries. Hot and fresh! The couple is very nice and excellent service. Loved the food here. I will be back.

This little shop opened in January 2014 sometime, so it’s still pretty new. The people are very nice, a middle aged man and a woman. They serve a mixture of Japanese, Korean, and American dishes. For the amount of food that you get, and the quality of the food, their prices are very reasonable — the Spicy Pork Teriyaki costs just under $ 9 and I got two meals out of it, my friend got three meals out of it. The Bulgogi was very good, it comes on a bed of cabbage and carrots, topped with green onions, with two portions of white rice, a tempura prawn, some orange slices and a side salad. It was $ 12, which made me hesitate, but again, the price tag reflected real value(I got two meals out of this dish). It was prepared very well, the cabbage was not overcooked and the meat was prepared very well. I always ask for the sweet chili sauce for whenever I eat Bulgogi(make sure to ask for it here, it’s free but they don’t include it automatically). The Spicy Pork Yakisoba was very good as well. Even my friend, who is very critical of food, enjoyed it and looks forward to going back soon. Spice wise, it has enough kick to get your attention, but not so much that you can’t enjoy the food — it’s a nice happy medium if you eat spicy food regularly, if not, it may be too much for you.
