Stopped here after seeing Waimea Canyon because we saw the Lappert’s Ice Cream sign! They have about 8 different Lappert’s flavors here, so we had to get some. They’re very nice here and let us sample whatever we wanted. Even though I normally don’t like mixing fruity and creamy ice creams together, I ended up ordering the Macadamia Nut and Tutu’s Paradise in a Waffle Cone and my husband got the Chocolate Flavor. All were delicious! The macadamia nut and chocolate were really creamy and the tutu’s paradise was refreshingly fruity.

It’s a small snack shop on the way to(or back from) the grand Waimea Canyon. They’ve got some Lappert’s ice cream, hot dogs and a couple of dishes, such as chicken katsu. My family and I chowed down on some small but tasty chili dogs. It may have been yummy because I was famished but, eh, how badly can you screw up a hot dog? Stop hea’ fo’ buy some quick cheap eats.(Tee-Hee)

We love their ice cream and always stop at this location after going to Waimea Canyon. They have some local flavors which I would have any day. The one thing we noticed is that this shop gives you two scoops for a «single flavor» while the shop in Princeville only gives you one scoop for the same price.

Stopped by Waimea Canyon Snack Shop on a Roberts day tour of Kauai. I ordered the Chili Platter(comes with a hot dog, two scoops of rice, and a scoop of macaroni salad). Everything about it was good ! The chili was nice and spicy and th mac salad had the sour cream kick to it. To finish things off, I followed my buddy’s lead and ordered the Kauai Pie ice cream. What can be anymore Aloha than Kona Coffee flavored Lappert’s ice cream with macadamia nuts, coconut strips, and chocolate? I was in bliss…
