The food wasn’t awful and maybe I just had a bad brisket day. I travel a lot and I love eating BBQ, but I feel there are way better places. For the price it wasn’t bad, but when I try BBQ I want good moist brisket. The Mac and Cheese is great and so are the fries. Try the Jalapeño Sausage!

We picked up a large order for lunch for 8 people. The pulled pork was flavored well and came with 2 sauces. A traditional mild BBQ and a «pork sauce» which seemed like BBQ mixed with honey mustard. The BBQ sauce was very good. We also had okra, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The okra had rave reviews and the Mac and cheese was good. The coleslaw could have used more vinegar — it was a bit bland. The banana pudding was just ok, and had a strong hint of lemon. Highly recommended for good BBQ.

Average barbecue. I’ve only had the«lean» brisket here so this is what my review is based on. My favorite barbecue joint in DFW is Bartley’s BBQ in Grapevine and I am addicted to their lean cut brisket. There’s just something about feedstores brisket that just doesn’t satisfy me. I’ve tried it 3 times and everytime I leave feeling like I want to drive to Grapevine :/ I do like their spicy barbecue sauce. My mother in law tried the ribs here and she really enjoyed them so maybe I’ll have to try those if I ever find myself here again.

Loved the ribs! No sauce needed and I’m a sauce junkie! The employees are really nice, we let them know it was our first time and they walked us through the menu and let us try a rib for free, I was hooked! We tried the ribs, turkey, brisket, and chicken and all was great but the ribs were my favorite!

Good BBQ! Bake potatoes are large and mac and cheese is awesome! Atmosphere is nice as well, feels very family oriented. Will return…

OMG! The ribs were fantastic. My family went there on a recommendation from my son in law. It’s set up like a cafeteria, the orders are placed and filled and you find you a place to eat. We are passing thru and my family lives here, so we’ll definitely be back.

Good atmosphere and friendly people. Unfortunately the brisket is thin, gray, dry and poorly seasoned and smoked. The portion sizes are good, but the menu is overpriced.

I waited for a return visit to write this review, and un fortunately my first impression was right. These guys get 4stars for friendliness — seriously it’s a comfortable location just to hang out and they’re all so nice, but if you are there for sliced brisket you’re probably going to get bone dry extremely thin cuts of junk. Sides are decent, but the BBQ… so disappointing. I don’t usually say this, but in this case I’d prefer Dickies. In full disclosure I’ve only ordered sliced brisket plates. That’s my go-to order when I’m crazing BBQ. They might do a fantastic pulled pork or ribs.

Nice restaurant with patio and indoor seating. Big menu on the wall and then you grab a tray while they prepare your order. You can put little plates on you try and scoop up some sides too. You seat yourself anywhere you like. We love the large windows facing Main St. Because our toddler loves watching the cars pass. My favorite meal is the Stuffed Baked Potato with Pulled Pork! try it! It’s huge, filling and TASTY! You fill up your own drinks, grab some sides of BBQ sauces and even some ice cream! They have a little jar above the ice cream machine. I think it’s 50 cents a cone.

This use to be Up in Smoke I’m going say it’s better now no doubt, it’s in Keller on Main so getting there can be a challenge. Served buffet style and Me and Diana got out under 30 bucks. I went with the 2 meat sliced brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese and mashed taters a gravy Diana had chopped beef sandwich with corn came with Texas roast I enjoyed a Rahr Texas Red they had spicy, mild, medium sauce to choose from I went with the spicy. The meat was good and tender I prefer more of a smoke taste but it was done right the sauce was spicy but not overbearing the sides were good and we were served a hot butter roll during the meal this is a good family gathering place with seating inside and out Ice cream machine for the kiddos should make for decent day trip meal

Meh. It’s not bad, pretty average. It’s pricey for BBQ. The okra was REALLY greasy. They have yummy soft serve cones; that’s a plus.

We had the pleasure of dining at Feedstore BBQ with 2 gift certificates from a welcome to the neighborhood packet. Friendly staff, however the food could be so much better. I had the sliced brisket. It was wayyyy too salty IMO. The rolls were good. But the mashed potatoes taste like they used artificial butter and it was again too salty. Cousin’s BBQ in Alliance is 10x better and we enjoy the indoor dining atmosphere more. So I guess Feedstore is where you go when Cousin’s is closed on Sunday.

My work takes me all over the country so I though this is the next local joint I would try. I decided to read the reviews after I had tried the food and was a little suprised at the high rating. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was slightly bland. Then the the eats, normally when you eat BBQ, you leave filling stuffed but this wasnt the case. I had two sides that were great! Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. Three meat combo was to follow. Pulled pork was good, sliced brisket alright and the pork ribs were small and salty. Needless to say, the 18 dollars I payed for lunch was far from worth it. You could go to Dickeys and get more food, equal quality, for a lower price.

I am disappointed by the amount of food I got for $ 30. For $ 30 we got 2 «meals» with tiny portions of food and no rolls. I added a picture of our glorious feast… That being said, the food was good and they do have the only brisket I’ll eat in Texas. If you don’t mind spending a little more for better quality Hard Eight BBQ up the road is more worth the money.

Nine of us visited Feedstore BBQ for the first time for a baby birth celebration. Five of the visitors were from out-of-town. So, this is a collective review after polling our party. Two of us had visited this location under a previous owner. The redo was total and so was the menu The results: Much brighter with fresh paint and everything redone. Bottom line is that all were very pleased with no particular negative comments on anything. An extra star was rewarded due simply to the quality of all the food served not because any one food stood out. The staff made every attempt to make our experience pleasing too. The food is served cafeteria style with self service for the sides but a meat-master cutting the BBQ in front of you insuring freshness. A most pleasant dining experience. Often the BBQ sauce can make or break a BBQ restaurant and the two sauces, mild and spicy, helped make the meal special. The spicy was not really all that extra spicy so anyone should not fear giving it a try. So, what did we try that we found very good(most of the menu): Pork ribs(St Louis style), sliced and chopped brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and smoked chicken(excellent flavor but just a tad dry). We did go there at 8:15 which was the end of their day since they closed at 9. In addition, the following sides are added to the very good list: Cole slaw, pinto beans, Mama’s green beans, mashed taters and gravy, mac and cheese, fresh cut fries, okra and crispy shoe string onion rings. The dirty rice was rated only fair however. I tried a sample of the blackberry cobbler(a favorite of mine) but found it simply OK and not really worth the calories. I did add self serve ice cream which is free at the condiment bar. My personal favorite of Baby Back Ribs was not present however and I am crying because everything was so good. Prices were certainly reasonable for a BBQ style restaurant. This is a definite«Return-To» place to go. Don’t look for the menu at their website or any other information. It’s strictly bare-bones with name, address and phone numbers only. But I did add pics of the menu items so you can see the full menu along with pricing. Take the whole family because it was a fun experience. Please note the HOURSOFOPERATION pic posted by Brad N back in September 2014 are now changed. Yay! A Keller location, and it opened just before we moved to town! Doesn’t matter which location you visit, the staff is warm and friendly, the beer is cold, and the food is hot and delicious! Don’t forget to try their greens! One of my faves! Signed, Loyal customers

Compare to other local establishments this place lowers the bar. The food is mediocre at best and so is the service. If your hungry for BBQ, stick with Spring Creek down the street. The brisket was dry and not smokey enough, the ribs were too tough, the sides were flavorless and even the Blackberry Cobbler tastes like it came out of a can. There are only three positive things I can say. If your looking for hometown charm, this place has got it and then some, the Hot Links are good, and portion sizes are generous. Overall, not satisfied and no incentive to return.

First time at Feedstore BBQ. Newly opened BBQ joint in Keller. I walked in to find inviting tables. Stood for a moment, wasn’t sure if this restaurant was self seating or not. Didn’t wait long, sat myself. I waited about 10 minutes, watched a little bit of the football on the TV, and finally decided something must be wrong. Or that I was doing something wrong. I had not been approached by anyone for a drink order, to be given a menu, or to serve me in anyway. I watched a couple of people finally come in and they walk straight through to a ramp on the side and disappear behind a wall. Buffet style? If I had not seen these people walk through and disappear up the ramp and behind the wall, I would have sat there longer wondering why I was not being served. I followed them, and realize that behind this wall was where the food was served. There was no indication or signage that I was to walk behind this wall to find the buffet line. A little confusing for someone who walks into a restaurant not to be guided to where the food is ordered, especially since it is all hidden behind a wall on the far side of the restaurant. I ordered a three meat plate with sausage, pork ribs, and brisket. It came with a roll and two side dishes. The side dishes you scoop up yourself into tiny little bowls. The fellow who is cutting the meat did not say hello goodbye thank you or anything. He did not come across as very happy. The lady at the cash register was friendly, she smiled and was helpful pointing out where I was to pick up my dinner roll at. I grabbed the tongs and got my dinner roll and proceeded back to the table where I originally had sat. My meal plus an iced tea cost me $ 18.71. I picked as my side dishes the spicy pinto beans and the macaroni and cheese. I first took a bite of the spicy beans. I love beans. They were salty. I can’t say they were spicy, but they were certainly salty. I enjoy hot foods, spicy foods, and salty foods. I’m a jalapeño nut. This was so salty that I only took two more bites before I just pushed the beans to the side. One of the saltiest dishes I have ever tasted. I have to say the beans had a nice flavor, but it was too much salt for me and I enjoy spicy and salty foods. I took a couple of bites of the macaroni and cheese and it was cold. I was disappointed that the macaroni and cheese was so cold. I guess they had just put it out into the serving container and hadn’t warmed it properly perhaps? The flavor of the macaroni and cheese was good, but it was cold enough that it was not enjoyable. I only ate about half of it, about three spoonfuls. I took a couple of swigs of my ice tea, I got the sweetened tea. It was delicious. Not too sweet but just sweet enough. The pork ribs were really delicious. I enjoyed them. It was three small ribs on this plate. They had a nice flavor and the seasoning was just right. The brisket was thinly sliced, tender, and dry. The flavor was not bad though. The sausage was okay, but didn’t have a lot of flavor. Their barbecue sauce was okay if you like a tangy barbecue sauce. I tend toward a sweeter barbecue sauce like sweet baby Ray’s. But their sauce had character. The dinner roll was mostly dry and a bit hard. The rolls sit in a warming oven and you pick your own roll. I guess they had sat there too long being warmed; it had become dry. I ate about half of the role and put it to the side as it was not enjoyable. They have a large side area where you can get your own pickles sauces jalapenos and a variety of condiments. It’s very nicely done. I left the restaurant having never been spoken to by any of the staff except during the buffet line. I was still hungry when I left. For almost $ 20, I didn’t get a lot of food. Granted, I didn’t eat the beans and the macaroni and cheese. They were not enjoyable and are served in the tiniest little bowls. I have this notion that when I go into barbecue places, I’m going to get full.

First visit to the Feedstore Keller last night, and the best I can muster is a resounding MEH… Brisket — on the dry side, bland, small portion, MEH. Chopped brisket — just OK… tasted like there was chili powder in it… weird. Potato Salad — another MEH. Mashed Potatoes and Gravy — A HIT with my son. Mac and Cheese — runny and not flavorful… MEH. Fries — Did not have them, but looked wonderful! Chicken Fried Steak — Did not have it, but next table over looked wonderful!!! Not sure what I expected, but for the $$$ and reputation this was not it. Frankly nothing would motivate me to go again, would rather drive up to Hard 8 in Roanoke. Overall I felt the food was mediocre at best, prices were high, but the service was excellent.

We like the Feedstore in Southlake but it was a little out of the way since we are in Keller. Well now we have one right in our own old town. This location is very clean and there is plenty of space. The food is Feedstore BBQ great. The menu is a pretty typical BBQ selection with very generous portions for the price. The staff was all very friendly and this is going to be one of our go-to destinations for our family.
