Went this morning instead of Starbucks on Boardwalk… staff was great, however, my caramel latte was weak. I needed more of a pick me up this morning. My niece got a mocha frappé and she stated it tasted more like hot chocolate than mocha coffee frappé. Cute place, nice staff… coffee wasn’t what I expected. I’d give it another chance though… maybe it was an off day.

I have been to Kemah twice and both times went to this coffee shop and the gift shop next door. We love Jimmy and had so much fun. The coffee is the best and attractive(see pics). Both times I felt like I was home or in some novel about life in a coastal community… super cool-kinda magical Felt like home!

What a gem… Art of Coffee and Dixie. When Dixie is running the show — things are rockin’. The atmosphere is inviting — she makes recommendations and serves her clients with Charm, Wit and the feeling of Love with a directness that makes you want to come back! My specially make Capp without Cow’s Milk! Yay! Chicken Salad like Momma made and a yellow cake with homemade caramel icing… oh yum… don’t miss these treats‼Artwork for your eyes and Dixie is good for your soul‼

Bad service and terrible food! I went with 2 other friends on a Wednesday afternoon… immediately the woman working wanted to know what they wanted… they were looking at the board… I was a minute behind them and she told them to step back while they looked because she had to help other customers(me!) There was no one else in there… we should have left then… but we ordered… with her annoyed with questions the whole time. The board said«special of the day ROCK(Something)» so my friend asked is that a special coffee… she stared at her annoyed and said«there is no special, we just write that» The cappuccino my friend got she said was only ok. I ordered iced coffee… the woman explained an iced latte is half milk half coffee. I said no I want an iced coffee. no sugar… and I will put a splash of milk in it. She said she had to add it and did… and handed it to me and said thats a latte so I am charging you a latte. I was really surprised as I was not trying to get out of the higher price… it was just definitely NOT a latte. The chocolate cake was old and dried out and crumbly and had NO chocolate flavor. Myself and the 2 women I was with won’t ever go back.

My wife and I are always looking for that nice intimate little coffee shop where we can enjoy a great cup and a warm pastry. Art of coffee is that spot!!! perfect atmosphere, awesome staff. it’s like sitting at your own breakfast table but with better coffee lol. soft variety of music plays in the background while the atmosphere is warm and inviting. love this locally owned jewel in kemah

By far my favorite coffee shop ever! The atmosphere is relaxing to say the least and the staff is really, really pleasant. It’s locally owned places like the Art of Coffee and the boutique shops in Kemah that make me so thrilled to live in a small town.

Cool little place in kemah. Mostly friendly folks working there. Art for sale on the walls to look at while you wait. Not a whole lot of seating, but not an issue for me because I always get it to go. But keep it in mind if you like to stay a while.

Excellent coffee & service! Family owned & they serve coffee made from fresh roasted beans. Pastries are also baked daily. Great place to relax. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow, with the great reviews, I expected some quality coffee, but it must have been a bad day, although I was the only one there… weak latte, with no discernible difference from Charbucks… disappointing at best. And no food…“didn’t get our delivery” which translated into«we have nothing.» Update: Try #2; opens at 7, I show up at 7:20, doors locked… walking away, a fellow opens it; figure I’d just try brewed based on last experience… no brewed ready. Sigh. Americano could work… too much water, making another weak drink. Five stars? Do Texans know what decent coffee is?

I found this little coffee shop while on travel to Houston. It was a nice surprise. The owner was very friendly and provided great service. The coffee was good and the cinnamon roll he recommended was yummy. I highly recommend it.

Good coffee, good wifi, super friendly staff. The art-room seating is limited, maybe fits 10 people, and then another dozen in the bar area, but there weren’t a lot of people hanging around, despite them getting slammed with a lot of to-go orders right after I got there. Nevertheless, impressively fast service.

I was there Saturday night just before closing. We were in town for the day and were playing at the Boardwalk and decided to close out the night with a nice cup of coffee and hot chocolate since it was raining. The guy working that night was extremely knowledgeable on coffee drinks and there history. Plus had a lot of cool things to say about the artist decorating the walls. He made us some really excellent drinks and made us out of towners feel pretty good about Texan’s in general. The reason I say that, is the folks at the Boardwalk were closer to pissed off New Yorkers who hate there jobs. This place had excellent customer service, excellent quality, and great looking décor. It was a very nice Unilocal find.

A friend and I went on coffee/tea joint crawl today, and this place was my favorite venture by far. I LOVE the sea-inspired art gallery, classic artist themed frappes, and the enthusiastic barista, who was so kind as to give me ice cream instead of ice in my Picasso frappé. If you like milkshakes, but have a hankering for some coffee, that is your drink, my friend. Please don’t settle for Starbucks on the boardwalk, don’t do that to yourself.

First time here with friends and we loved it! Jimmy and Colby are super friendly and seemed to know everyone who came in. Very welcoming and hilarious, not to mention the coffee is delicious. They explained the menu thoroughly and offered great recommendations. I got the carmal mocha, while my friends of the flat white and latte both with soy milk. They also offer smoothies, Italian sodas, and food if you’re not in the mood for anything caffeinated. This an awesome hangout spot for individuals or groups. It’s very local with a great view, atmosphere, and a garden in the back that’s connected to other shops as well!

The guy working in the morning was very friendly and helpful. We think he was the owner. The tasty treats were amazing! My favorite was the pistachio muffin, which I have a true weakness for. My husband loved their cinnamon roll that was warm and fresh out of the oven. The chai was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I recommend this place over the larger chains availible in this area!

I don’t know where to start. Did I like the friendly staff? Was I blown away by the paintings of local artists? Did I enjoy the old school espresso? YESTOALL! Definitely a must see. Go there thank me later…
