I went through the drive through and the young lady was extremely rude. I asked her for extra salsa to go with the BOX of tacos that I bought and she told me no Bc she had already given me some. Some being a small container for a box of 12 tacos. I told her to keep her salsa in fear of her doing something to it since it took her awhile to get it. I pulled around and got salsa myself. Talk about rude and poor customer service! Disappointing!!!

Have always been a Taco Cabana fan. Always considered it superior to most fast food. Very disappointed in the Kemah location. Last time I went there I asked for no sour cream and it didn’t happen. Today the steak burrito is mostly rice and beans and very little steak. And if that wasn’t enough, ordered two chicken fajita tacos for my wife and they were crap! Chicken was burned. Yes, burned! And who’s great idea was it to chop up the chicken into little cubes instead of slicing it. Wow, I think Taco Bell would have been a better choice.

I’ve always like TC. But, this morning I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese burrito. The cashier proceeded to tell me the coat is $ 6.49. I got to the window and asked her to repeat the cost. I again asked«six dollars and forty nine cents?» «Yes», she replied. I mentioned that the menu has it for $ 2.59. She argued and said that is for a taco. I said no thank you and left. I did circle back around and took a picture of the menu of the burrito for $ 2.59.

When thru drive thru at 8:30am for breakfast tacos. They where not service breakfast because they where out of eggs. Had to wait 15 minutes to still go thru for nothing. Would have been nice to but a sign out before you trapped in line.

Don’t even waste your time! We have given this place multiple opportunities to succeed and not 1 time have they got an order right or been courteous in their service. This is the worst Taco Cabana you will ever visit. Save your money and go elsewhere.

First time I have ever written a review. Always thought reviewers were just busy bodies. I like the food but the place is filthy. Wasn’t busy this last trip but tables needed cleaning, kitchen was nasty, floors and windows needed cleaning. First impressions are pretty telling in the food business. With that in mind, if you have to go here, take a good look at the front door when you walk in. You’ll be afraid to touch it.

I’ve been to this location multiple times, and nearly every single time, my order comes out incorrect. I have a food allergy to cheese, and the employees never can seem to make my order without putting cheese on it. Overall, extremely disappointed with this location. I love the franchise, but I would not recommend this location.

Came by this fine establishment yesterday and it was packed to the gills. Seriously. There was hardly a table to be had. And speaking of things that were not be be had… the salsa bar was bare and a complete disaster and there were no lemons. I can’t stand that. Also– did you know they no longer sell sour cream chicken enchiladas!!! I’m sorry if I just ruined your day but it’s true. Best thing they had. Gone. Other than that, the good was your typical TC fare. Good in the moment but leaving you to question your choices an hour later.

In the wee hours of morning, my fishing buddy and I usually replenish what we lost in the heat. The latrine is bland and makes you think your in a different place. error. There’s absolutely no designs, marble, Aztec painting, fake succulent plants, or anything of that nature. It’s basically a lame bathroom. The Twilight zone bathroom is nothing out of the movie if you come and go. But if you stay and experience. it may be a little strange and disgusting. Just putting that out there The floor setting is pretty cool. They have this window where you can watch tortillas being made. Above the fix-ups station are tin stars. It reminds me of the one I have in my room. For breakfast they have breakfast tacos and burritos. But the burritos are well worth the price, because they are huge. I ordered 2 thinking it was just like Chachos. small. The burritos are the best. I had the potato, cheese, and beans for $ 2.19. The food although, takes a long time to arrive. We waited for awhile to receive our breakfast. It burned a lot of daylight and wasted some of our fishing time. But I guess, that’s how they operate.

I have a family of 6 visiting from out of town we ordered $ 50 worth of food we noticed no one was getting their food apparently after 45 minutes later my husband went up to register to be told they ran out of eggs… we ask for a refund

Edit: once again we are sitting outside and employees come sit a few tables to smoke. I believe that this taco c should be like most other restaurant and require employees to take smoke breaks in the back where customers don’t see them lounging around in uniform smoking up a storm. Also while we were here sitting outside we watched an employee spend about five minutes digging through her car. When she was done she had something in her hands. As she walked past us to go inside and back to the kitchen we saw it was a blender. What. On. Earth. Finally at the end of our meal a family came outside and asked the smoking employees if they could please end their break early(it wasn’t a fast break) to come back in because they had been waiting at the register for so long and nobody would help them. Way to go, taco c! Walk in and the girl behind the register is sweating profusely. I understand kitchens are hot but this seemed unsanitary. I had a coupon for the cabana bowl but it was a chicken cabana bowl. I asked if I could do ground beef instead. She shouted over to a guy in the kitchen with a reddish goatee. He yelled ‘nope!’ Not oh sorry we can’t do that. He looked at me in the eye and yelled nope. I said ‘what I’m asking for is .75 cents cheaper though, you’d be making more money than if I got the chicken’. Another ‘nope’. No explanation. Just a ‘nope’. So I didn’t use the coupon and just ordered what I wanted. We went and sat outside. The guy with the goatee and three other workers came out and sat two tables away from us. There was absolutely nobody else outside and plenty of empty tables. But they sat two tables away from us and smoked so that the wind was bringing huge clouds of smoke to us, so bad that we got up and sat inside. I’m not expecting a white tablecloth and candles but come on. The food wasn’t as good as it had been the last time I was here. This place is a hit or miss and tonight was a huge miss.

Same disclaimer as my previous review — I’ve only done the drive thru and speed was normal both times. In my last review I talked about how much I liked the brisket breakfast taco and gave the place 4 stars. I got breakfast tacos here more recently and was not as impressed. This time the brisket was pretty dry and required a lot more sauce. I also got the Barbacoa taco which I definitely didn’t like. My boyfriend liked it a lot so take this with a grain of salt but I found it to be way too oily and greasy. I still love the sauce, and the street tacos are still good too. But a 3 star rating is probably a more accurate assessment of their overall quality.

This Taco Cabana can be summed up in a single word. «Terrible». The cashier spent her time in the parking lot next to an old truck talking to a girl. The food was barely ok. I ordered the Steak Street Tacos and they sucked. The steak was mealy, the portion was pitiful and the taste was bleh. I normally don’t like to beat up a restaurant, but given my disappointment, I’ve been impressed with other Taco Cabanas. So as I’m writing my review, the cashier comes in from talking to her friend in the truck and goes straight to the counter to start making food, without stopping to wash hands. Gross, I’m leaving.

I love Taco Cabana. I truly do. I just don’t love this Taco Cabana. Again, how can chain restaurants be so different? Seriously. That’s why you’re part of a chain, so when customers come in they get the same level of service and food as the other chain locations. Preferably high quality food and good service. We had a coupon and the gentleman that took our order was super nice and friendly… so a great start but it all went down hill from there. As we were sitting down after visiting the salsa bar, the couple that had ordered in front of us was at the pick up window complaining because their order was wrong(they had a big to-go order and from what they were saying it was all kinds of messed up). Yikes. So they call our number and I go to pick up our food, and realize they missed our personal chips and queso. So I go back and ask for it and the surly employee literally throws 7 chips in the container and hands me that plus the queso. I looked at her and asked if that was it. I know it’s a personal size, but c’mon TC! She threw a couple more chips in there and glared at me, so I sat down. We didn’t need to share, hubby can just have them all… yeah. All 9 chips. Then we realized the refried beans were crusty and cold, the rice wasn’t very hot either, although the tacos were ok. But we were hungry and didn’t want to wait on new food. Our bad. We really should have asked them to re-make it as it was a sad excuse for the delicious Taco Cabana food I expect. While we were eating, the family that came in after us was at the window, complaining that their order was messed up. Yikes again. I guess we should just consider ourselves lucky they didn’t screw up our orders that badly. So after all that, we decided to cut our losses and leave. Next time we will pick a different TC, as this one was very disappointing…
