I’ve never gone to a dive bar as bad as this one! I get the concept of the dive bar; just for the locals but seriously when my group walked in the stares from the 5 people there including the bartender made us feel so uncomfortable. I heard one of the customers ask the bartender are they going to stay here and she said: we will see. She approached us and stated that there’s no table service that if we wanted to get drinks we would have to get them from her at the bar, oh and it gets better: the kitchen was closed. All of this happened in less than 5 mins, our group got up and left. What I’ve learned from this experience is that people have to be more open minded to different races. While you find different cultures every one is secluded, so 7 Hispanics walking into this bar last Saturday was out of their«ordinary boring Saturday night». Never coming back!!!

Had a Angry Orchard. Couldn’t believe it was $ 7.00 for a draft. Pool table isn’t the best. However they finally fixed the roof leak by the pool table

I’ve been here several times. From the outside it looks like an old dive bar and it is, but the inside is a lot nicer than you’d think(for a dive anyway). The walls and floors are covered in light hardwood and there are plenty of TVs if you want to watch a sporting event. The drinks are always reasonably priced and they usually have drink specials when I have come in. The clientele is a good mix of ages so one wouldn’t feel out of place here no matter the age. The other thing I like is this isn’t a place where I have seen a horrible band playing or music playing on the speakers so loud that your voice hurts from screaming to your friend right next to you. Overall, I enjoy coming here. The color of the wood doesn’t make me feel like I am in a dark sketchy dive bar, the drinks are fairly priced and the music isn’t so loud that you can’t hear anyone.

The Michigan Pub is a great place to unwind with a few drinks, bar pies– arcade games, pool table, darts . Casual Pub always friendly ! great after work spot with co-workers ! Entertainment is on weekends…

If there was a such thing as a dive bar in NJ, this place may be the closest thing to it. It’s more of a sports tavern that attracts a nice diversity of patrons. You’ll find all kinds of people here on any given night, however I’ve never really found it too crowded. You may also run into a few punks looking to start trouble too, so try and stay on your guard while drinking here and leave if there’s any sign of trouble. There are no bouncers or doormen here. The bartenders are normally quite friendly and quick with getting you your drink. I would stay away from the draft beer and stick to bottles though. Their draft beer always tastes horrible(like metal) and tend to be warm. Their jukebox is mostly filled with heavy metal and rock tunes… at least that’s what most of the patrons play here. Sometimes it gives me a headache if I stay too long. Other times, the jukebox is off and they just have the TV showing sports among other shows. They advertise having karaōke on Friday nights or at least have a DJ, but I haven’t been there for it yet. Lately, they have been looking for ways to generate more business since this place never seems to attract a large crowd. The place is relatively small, so that’s a good thing in a way.
