Taco Time

Update 6÷20÷16: For a while it appeared that they increased portions and also stopped charging for substitutions (like no tomato and dressing, add little more cheese) but that has come to an end. Too bad, for a while they were as good as the 124^th off 405 location.
This location used to charge for substitutions for example removing tomatoes and dressing on soft taco. After writing a previous review I was contacted by manager and now they not only not charge extra but they put more materials in their soft tacos. 124^th Kirkland location and Issaquah were my two favorite locations and now I can add this one that is closer to home. Some days they rock and some they are just awful. There seems to be no in between. Dude sweeping next to me while I eat is not my favorite.

Taco Time is bomb. This location is a bit on the slow side but this is not Taco Bell, it’s Taco Time and it takes more time to make better food. Everything always looks and tastes fresh.

The lady that made my burrito walked out to hand it to me and was so kind! I only give 4 stars because of the dude sweeping next to me while I ate! UGH

I love it here I think they have fantastic food great service it’s wonderful I told all my friends about how great this place is can’t get enough of it I will definitely be back to visit love it here love it fantastic!

I enjoy Taco Time, but this location sucks. Probably the slowest of all the locations I’ve ever been to. If you go during lunch, expect upwards of 20 – 30 minutes for your food. You’d get faster service in a full restaurant. The employees here just have zero motivation. As I watched them, during the major lunch rush, they all worked very, very slowly, rarely multitasked, and just generally did not care. I understand that they don’t get paid crap, but this is well below average.
It’s a huge waste of my lunch break to eat there, so I just won’t. I’ll drive to the Taco Bell, even though it’s much further, and eat there. It’s still faster.

Awful. Food was horrible. They left an item off of our order. Couldn’t find receipt and they would not replace. I guess they don’t care about return business. Worst run business I could imagine.

Not so good. Chicken White Chili is always inconsistent. Today it was like water and no Chili Powder. Last time this happened I made them give me a refund. Corporate sent me a Gift Card as a refund. This time I through it in the garbage. They don’t do cash refunds. I notice that most of the employees here don’t really care. The gal that brought my food out looked like she was just rolling on the kitchen floor. At least have someone with a clean shirt bring out the food. Hot sauce was no good today. No heat and was too runny. They might need a new manager. Please someone that works there, taste the Chili before selling it to the public. Ps. Use a clean bowl and spoon please.

As a Southern Californian, I know when Mexican food is good and when it is shit. This place is just bad! Taco Bell is better than the crap «food» here. And the guy at the register didn’t even know the menu. When I ordered I had to repeat 4 times what I wanted because he was either too stoned or just dumb to know what a steak burrito was. As my first «Mexican» food meal after moving to Seattle, I am really starting to believe that Mexican food will just suck up here.

Thanks for the food poisoning… If you value your health DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. OMG it was like my insides were on fire!!! THIS STORE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!
Once I told one of the friends about my experience she replied «Oh I should have mentioned… They’ve been under scrutiny for the last few years… I don’t know what they do to make it taste so terrible»
So just don’t do it… AND WARN YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!

After waiting in the drive thru for almost an hour (it was several minutes after 9 pm so we couldn’t go in), and spending over $ 40 on our family, we still didn’t get our order correct. We made sure that we got all our items before heading home. Once home we discovered the errors. Ordered the Baja Combo — 1 beef, 1 chicken. Got 2 beef. Ordered the Cilantro Lime Chicken salad and got NO chicken. This is the closest store but we won’t stop there anymore. Sad. On a positive note, the young man at the window was apologetic about the wait, for which we were grateful.

This is the slowest location Ive ever been at. Total of 15minutes in the drive tru with only one person in front of me. Plus three people working on a car in the parking lot? No.

The food tasted like old frying oil. The restaurant was too hot and had no air conditioning on the hot day we went for dinner. The mexi fries were cold and were not made fresh. We asked for no rice and they did not have any beans available that night. They soda machine was out of Coke products and when we asked about it, the cashier told us that they did not know how to install the syrup. This is the worst TacoTime I have ever been to! Corporate need to fix this location or close it down. We thought the restrooms were nasty and the interior is unclean and there is nothing resembling management here.
They were out of hot sauce and forks, it looks like a bunch of lazy high school workers not caring about their jobs

I usually never eat at any fast food chain but today my schedule was hectic and had to figure something out.
I decided to stop at this place to see if I could make something work.
The guys mostly teenagers were so smiley and nice to me I picked up pitbull and I asked him if I could have it without rice they quickly did it and told me instead of the rice they added more beans and chicken to make up for it everybody with a smile fast service my food was delicious I couldn’t believe I was able to find a healthy option for the date I am in a rush to cook.

Nothing was clean, even after the cashier walked through wiping the tables down, rag only, no cleanser. The prep table had food scraps strewn over it, yet nobody was working there. Food was edible at best, hot items as well as cold items were both room temp, besides a burrito. This place needs a manager that will take charge and have some pride in what they do.

The ordering here was disorganized and I had a hard time communicating with my cashier. Even though we were issued order numbers that were clearly displayed, my order was mixed up with someone else. We got the same thing, so it was fine, but one person scolded the other loudly and for a long time about it. I was embarrassed for him. Then the food was completely unremarkable, even for fast food. I can get better at any Taco Bell. I got a tostada salad with under fried shell, dry meat and beans, and weirdly thick ranch dressing. My companions got tacos that were average and we all got mexi-​tots but couldn’t figure how they were any different from any other tater tot. The stars are really for the use of 100% compostable everything, even the straws. This seems like it might be standard for the area, but is still outstanding and I don’t know why every place isn’t doing this nationwide.

Two star average for this location?! Not sure what people are expecting from Taco Time these days. One of the things I like about this local chain is the consistency of product and service at all locations. From the moment I walk in, I know what to expect and they consistently deliver. This particular location operated like a well oiled machine during my visit with a small army of employees carrying out various tasks from taking orders to cleaning tables. The one slip up would have to be when the young gent who took my order tried to tell me that the «Chips and Salsa» did not come with salsa. I was like… but it says chips AND SALSA. When he brought out my order, he happily declared that I was right and the «Chips and Salsa» does indeed come with salsa. From there, I proceeded to enjoy my meal knowing that there is indeed some good in the world… or at least some salsa which is basically the same thing.

This is my Taco Time (Taco Time Closest to our house)… My kids love to eat here because supposedly the parents of a classmate are somehow involved with this store.
I guess the reason I am so irritated today is I took the family to Plaza Garcia on Juanita Drive last night — Had a great sit down meal (with a waiter) and it cost me less having dinner there then I spent for fast food at Taco Time today.
The other reason today set me off is that 2 weeks in a row I get home and my «TO GO» order is all wrong… 2 WEEKS IN A ROW!!! — Not to mention that today I waited 27 minutes for my order to feed 3 people… They are usually very slow here but never this slow. The fact is that over the last 6 months they have gotten my order wrong more often then getting it right…
I HATE DRIVING THE 1.4 Miles back down to get the correct order and then back home again… Then when I did get home tonight the Mexi-​Fries were cold (YUK) and the tacos were 80% lettuce
This Taco Time is just mismanaged and no one seems to care how poorly this taco time is run. Today when I went back to get my correct order I got unapologetic «Oh Well» attitude… today I did not even get a receipt…
Tonight I learned Plaza Garcia and La Corona (2 local Mexican restaurants) both make orders to go… We threw out the Taco Time and ordered dinner from La Corona and not only did the kids get their Tacos they got beans and rice as well… This for the same price I pay at Taco Time…
In conclusion —
1. Taco Time is way over priced —
2. This Taco Time has no accountability and is mismanaged.
3. This Taco Time has employees (Kids) that just go through the motions with no aptitude to do a good or fast job…
4. You can get a better deal going to a sit down real Mexican Restaurant…
Not to mention that this Taco Time is the dirtiest one I have ever been in. In the end it still looks like a nasty converted Herfy’s Burger joint left over from the 70’s
Don’t bother apologizing for my poor experience, it is long term systemic problem and their is no professional excuse for how this store is operated.
If your revenue is down… There is a reason for it. You don’t know how manage and there is no oversight.

This taco time blows. We waited nearly 20 minutes for our little order. When I asked about it the manager said they dropped it and had to make it again. Like that made me feel any better!

Holy Hell. I rarely dislike hating on my fellow foodservice employees, but this particular Taco Time is the stereotypical fast food joint: slow, staffed with employees who make excuses as to why your food isn’t ready yet, and mistakes are made with orders and nobody will own up to them. I’ve come here more often than not because of its proximity to my house, but each time I’ve come by (drive through included) it takes a minimum 10 minutes to get my food, even when it is dead and I’m the only one in line. The last couple times, I’ve been given someone else’s order, or seen my order be given to someone else, and when I bring it up have gotten the «Oh, its because of the shift change, my bad.»
Avoid. McDonalds at its slowest and lest competent is still better than this location.
