Roma Pizza

The pizza we opted for was edible, but not all that good. The prices are reasonable and the salads are large

I have had good experiences with Roma in the past, however i just paid 24 $ for a pizza that looked like it was cut by a 3 year old! It had pieces that were 1 inch triangle from terrible slicing. Also the barbecue sauce i received was watery and extremely overpoweringly tasting of garlic. Completely un acceptable for 24 $ for a large! I called and proclaimed my concern and i was treated like a second class citizen and was told to leave by the manager. Worst 24 $ spent! Will not be returning and cannot recommend.

This is NO LONGER the location for Roma Pizza. It has moved up the street to a house shared with Ben & Jerry’s, in a space that used to house Mangiamo (same owner).
So now you can enjoy both the best pizza in the Kennebunks AND simple, cheap pasta dishes in the same locale. Totally relaxed, awesome stuff!

This place doesn’t look like much and its just off the main strip that runs through town but I’m glad I found it. I had just arrived earlier that morning and was looking for something to eat and pizza sounded good. I picked up two slice and a drink for a reasonable price. I was able to get a table outside and ate. The pizza reminded me of what I used to get back in NY when I lived there.

Funky spot on Ocean Ave hidden in a 2 story maze of restaurants & touristy shops. We walked into a relatively less than charming room occupied by bench tables, facing a TV set on top of the soft drink machine… most of the diners were enjoying their pizza alfresco. We sat down inside watching a foreign language TV series which appeared to be a direct import from Italy, since there were no subtitles. A very pleasant server provided us with the menu listing approximately 19 different pizza combinations. Beer and wine were not available. Manning the pizza oven was a larger-​than-​life friendly & proud owner of Roma who introduced himself as «Luca»… He informed us that he was also the owner of a Mangiamo, a nearby recently opened Italian restaurant. Also on the wall were multiple pictures with Luca standing alongside George W Bush … Luca indicated that he delivered pizzas to Walker Pt. I couldn’t help but be impressed. If their pizza is good enough for two presidents it certainly is good enough for me.
We opted for a large pizza with prosciutto and carmellized onions. There were 18 other additional pizza choices. Italian subs were also available.
Our pizza arrived 15 minutes later which was the best thin crusted pizza that I’ve had in years… my palate was telling me that I had had a similar pizza once in Florence, Italy, not far from the Domo… I’m not kidding. I was transported to Italy while eating pizza in this relatively unassuming very simple basic space somehow letting you get the «job» done without any other superfluous distractions .The ambience did what it just was meant to do… provide you with an authentic pizza that cannot be beat… yes, I’m giving Roma 5 stars… but realize that the rating is just for the pizza and nothing else… oh yes, Luca you «own» part of the 5 stars… sorry I can’t say the say the same for the ambience… foody snob that I am.

Finally, a decent pizza place in kennebunkport. The staff is very friendly, there is lots of seating, and the pizza is very good. The crust is, for sure, their strong suit. We’ll be back again soon!

great people. good pie. thin crust is definitely their strong suit and was fresh and tasty. Sicilian was a bit too chewy and not crunchy enough in the crust. Good option for the area to take back home to eat.

I love this place. The best pizza around… I’m from NYC and we have nothing but faux pizzerias that charge double the price and none of the flavor that Roma offers. It drives me nuts! Anyway, when you’re in the mood for pizza, you don’t want something dry that’s been sitting out all day for someone to pop in an oven, pretend is fresh and then turn around and charge you an arm and a leg for their «original» or «authentic» cuisine. You want a place that serves QUALITY quality, like making fresh dough every day and rolling the pasta by hand (which this owner actually does!!) Here, you’re getting nothing but quality, fresh ingredients whipped up expertly by an Italian native himself. He does it right. Wish I could take Roma back to NYC with me and show them what REAL, AUTHENTIC pizza actually tastes like! Yum…

This is by far THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD! During our summer vacation to old orchard beach, we used to eat there a few times during our stay. Now that Roma Pizza moved to Kennebunkport, I’m considering taking summer vacations there just to be closer! Super friendly, great quality ingredients, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! Everyone must try their El Greco pizza (spinach and feta) once and then you’re hooked!

This place has the best thin crust pizza and pizza place salads. The owner is the nicest guy and the other staff is great as well. Here at atmosphere. The location is also great because you can avoid Dock square traffic

Best place in Kport to get pizza by far. The owner is from Italy and did culinary school in Italy for five years so the pizza and sauce are very authentic. Prices can be somewhat expensive for the more creative pizzas. There are many different choices for pizza including blueberry toppings. They also sell by the slice. Highly recommend eating here!

This place is so good! My husband and I have been here a couple times and are really impressed with their pizza. They have really great flavors, the ingredients are fresh, and the pizza isn’t greasy. This is a great place to go if you need a quick snack or bite to eat.

The pizza is delicious! Really terrific with great combinations and flavors. The staff is so helpful and kind and they go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want and that you enjoy. The proprietor especially couldn’t have been more gracious and genuinely glad to serve us. Great place! And they have outdoor tables.
