Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We had the juice sandwich and the spicy pie sandwich with sides of waffle fries and bacon mac and cheese. Found it affordable and definitely recommend this place.

There are some really good ideas here, and with some fine tuning in execution they could be done a little better. As for now, it’s just a bit above average with a larger than average price tag. My fiancé and I came in for dinner, and shared the roast beef and cheese sandwich, Mac and Cheezy sandwich and I had tomato soup and he had sweet potato fries. The soup was so sweet is was almost inedible– I’ve never had a tomato basil soup that sweet before. The fries were decent but had no salt at all. The Mac and cheese sandwich was good, but seemed to need a different more hearty bread– the bread it was on just kind of disintegrated into the sandwich. The roast beef and cheese was good, but maybe needed a bit more cheese and less juice– and some seasoning. Overall not a bad meal, just needed a few tweaks!

Mmmm. They have grilled cheese. And they make it for you. With gluten-free bread, to boot. I strolled here from the hotel because it was new and had good reviews here on good olé Unilocal.I’ve dined at many of the options along this road, and was excited to see something different. The dining room has a nice casual vibe, with very warm colors on the walls and TVs to catch you up on the news. There are big windows up front letting in lots of light. If I had driven, I’m sure I would be annoyed at the small size of the parking lot. But it seems they do a bang up carry-out business, so many of the cars are just there for a brief moment. I had what was basically and apple pie, but with bread, not crust. Very tasty. Really liked it. The servers were nice, and they bring your hot sandwich right to your table. As long as I’m not on a low-carb diet, I’ll pop in next time I’m in town.

Perfect comfort food for a chilly day. I got The Big Cheezy and a friend of mine got The Old Goat. We split and traded and both were so good! We also got the tomato soup to dip. It was perfect.

First time to The Big Cheezy! We were not disappointed. Grilled Cheese for Grown ups. Prices very reasonable. The gentleman that was cooking came out with my husband and my order and my son’s was delayed. He apologized to my son for his not being ready and offered him a side of waffle fries doe it being late. My son told him no problem. When he did bring it out he again felt bad and offered a side again and my son told him I am good, it’s fine. All three of us were happy with our orders. Sandwiches run $ 7.75 and sides $ 2.50– 3.50. We will go back for sure. Only negative not a lot of parking.

We used a groupon to try this place out and was that a deal! I was skeptical at first of going to a restaurant whose primary focus is grilled cheese sandwiches. But let me tell you, these people know what they are doing! We got the Mac n’ Cheezy sandwich which is a grilled cheese sandwich(we switched cheddar out for Gouda) with 4 cheese bacon Mac n’ cheese on white bread. It must have been delicious because my wife was done with it before I could ask for a bite. And it was a big sandwich. I had The Juice, a sandwich with roast beef debris and gravy on sourdough bread with cheddar and grilled green peppers(I added caramelized onions and switched the cheddar for mozzarella) and got a 8 oz. side of the tomato basil soup to dip in, plus a sweet tea, and it was all amazing. The price was reasonable considering the size of the sandwiches and quality, all for $ 20 plus tax. We will definitely be back.

Have a cheese craving? You can’t really get any better than going down to the Big Cheezy! They have mastered the task of gooey melted cheese between 2 slices of bread grilled to perfection with the perfect crunch. I like the ones that have a little more substance that just cheese so if you’re thinking its JUST grilled cheese, think again. They have the original classic grilled cheese, but they also have lots of other sandwiches for your more refined grown up taste buds. I tired the Flying Dutchman and the Brie-zy. The Flying Dutchman was turkey, gouda, bacon, and honey mustard. Excellent! The Brie-zy was Monterey jack and brie cheese, caramelized apples, pecans and a honey drizzle. It was very good, but glad I was splitting because I don’t know if I could have finished a whole one. It was decadent! The tomato basil soup is the perfect side to go with your grilled cheese. Its really tasty and perfect for dipping or just eating it solo. They even sell a dipper size that is just enough for dipping. How thoughtful! I will definitely be returning when I have a quench for cheese and need a quick fix at this casual eatery.

Not impressed at all. We got The Original with the tomato basil soup. The soup was blah(not fresh, microwaved) and my grilled cheese came out burnt. My husband got The Mac & Cheesy, he said it was alright, his was also on the black side. I was expecting more and definitely not a burnt $ 5 and $ 7 grilled cheese sandwich. Might try this place one more time but I haven’t decided yet. Update: My 18 month old and I both got food poisoning from this experience! We were both up all night throwing up and having diarrhea. I will never eat here again and recommend to everyone that you don’t try it. It’s just not worth it!

Holy cheezus! Not gettin enough lovin from your lady or man? Well then come here and drown your sorrows in a gourmet cheese sandwich that only cheese gods from The big cheesy know how to make! It’s like a big hug from grandma when you take a bite of this tasty cheese sandwich. I hate to even call it a cheese sandwich because it is so much more than that. The crazy old goat was my sandwich of choice which was perfection of goat cheese, Gruyère, bacon on seeded bread! Order at the counter and chat it up with the friendly servers while watching the guys in the back create the perfect sandwich. Try the waffle fries they are crispy and full of flavor.

Definitely delicious and cheesy! The boyfriend got the crawgator grilled cheese & waffle fries and I made a custom grilled cheese with cheddar, pepper jack, caramelized onion and basil pesto & the tomato basil soup dipper. Both were great sandwiches. The soup was okay as a dipper. I’m glad I didn’t get a bowl, but I’m super picky about tomato soup. One thing I wish was that there were more vegetarian options. Everything had at least one meat item in it except the big cheesy(which is why I made my own concoction). I don’t mind making my own, but sometimes it’s nice to know that something was well thought out and definitely yummy before guessing with your own thing. But we will definitely be back!

I have been hearing many good things about this place so I figured I would give it a try. I thought it would be nicer inside, and have a bit more unique choices. My experience wasn’t bad, but I don’t think this place was spectacular either. If you want a quick & cheap meal, this is your place. However, if you’re looking for a dine-in experience with quality food, this probably isn’t your spot.

Cheese! Cheese! Cheese! I went here last night and that sandwich is all I keep thinking about. The restaurant décor is nothing to get excited about, and it looks like they aren’t very fast at cleaning, but the food makes up for that. I ordered the crazy old goat — goat cheese and monterey jack cheese, pepper, bacon, and green peppers. My boyfriend ordered the flying dutchman — gouda, turkey, bacon, and honey mustard. We both asked for our sandwiches to be on the Hawaiian sweet bread, and we both ordered a tomato basil dipper. We waited maybe a little over 10 minutes for the sandwiches to come out. During this time I started to regret not ordering fries. They looked really good, and I wasn’t sure if the sandwiches would fill us up. They did! They were absolutely delicious and mine was so filling. The bacon on the sandwich was perfect and the pepper jelly added even more flavor to an already flavorful sandwich. We considered getting one of the creole creamery milkshakes, but we were both so full!

Really great spot! Big salads. Mac and cheezy sandwich is good but Flying Dutchman is the best. Great cheese fries too

I have been here twice now, once for take-out and once to dine in. Both were exceptional experiences! This is comfort food at its finest. Seriously though… a grilled cheese and a tomato soup can fix almost anything. That is exactly what I ordered to go after a day of feeling under the weather. They had my order right and on time and was very fresh. I got the classic with a cup of soup, and it didn’t disappoint. The tomato soup was thick and creamy with just the right amount seasoning. On to round two! My husband and I dined in this time. We were greeted by a helpful staff that answered our questions and let us know their faves. I went with the turkey presto and a side of waffle fries. Y’all…these waffle fries are everything. I love seasoned waffle fries; don’t you dare insult thee by adding any type of sauce! My sandwich was amazing. The multigrain bread was crispy on the edges, warm and gooey on the inside. Their homemade pesto was mouthwatering. I brought half of this sandwich home and ate it for lunch the next day. I dare say it was even better once I heated up again. While eating, either a manger/owner circulated the tables and asked how everything was. They offer desserts if you aren’t stopped up enough from all of the cheese. The said desserts include shakes from Creole Creamery… need I say more? The parking lot is small, but it is easy to find parking in the surrounding area. This place is a breath of fresh air in America’s City!

The Kenner location is just as good as the New Orleans location! I’m glad that the parking is a bit bigger than the New Orleans location, but it is still a strange parking lot. We went during the week, and it was surprisingly not that busy, yet my food ticket got lost. My coworker and I split a salad and two sandwiches(nom nom nom) because that is how we roll at The Big Cheezy. I’m glad that we did split the two sandwiches because I was the second one to order, but my food never came out until I asked about it. They had to reprint my ticket so the kitchen could make my food. Even though everyone was already done with their meal, I gobbled up my food and left. I really wish they would make Bacon Mac n Cheese fries a thing.

Looking for comfort food? Im pretty sure a picture of their gourmet grilled cheeses with a side of either tomato soup or waffle fries is next to the definition in the dictionary. Mmm cheese. Makes me happy. Ive tried several and they are all good, some heavier than others. My top 2 are the alligator sausage and the orginal(4 cheeses on sourdough served double decker style) The bread is thick and super buttery. This location also has creole creamery shakes if you want to live it up. They also offer salads for the timid. I wish they had a drive thru but then again I do want to live past 40. I like how they are called ‘adult grilled cheese’. Thanks to them, its now my favorite thing about being an adult.

Sandwiches were good! Ordered ‘The Juice’ and ‘The Don’ signatures. It seemed everyone in the place ordered a side of fries and a drink with their order. It’s unfortunate you have to ADD fries and a drink to your order. I hope they consider a combo later on for all sandwiches. A bit pricey, but I’ll definitely go back to try another sandwich!

I had the mac ‘n cheezy which was the bomb l. Who in their right mind wouldn’t love a 4 cheese mac ’ n cheese between 2 pieces of buttered and grilled white bread. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because I had to listen to the foul language coming from the kitchen crew the whole time I was eating. Every time I heard a foul word, I looked up thinking that would clue them in on the fact that it’s unprofessional and very offensive but nope, it didn’t set off any light bulbs with these dim wits.

Ouch, staff has some problems. Be cautious of your food. One customer’s tray was delivered to the wrong table and then redelivered to the correct table missing some fries. Two customers left pissed while my table waited for our food. When I received The juice the sandwich was cold as if it had been sitting out for a while. A group that ordered before me was served one of their orders well after mine. And their last order had to be taken to go. To top it off to go orders were being put in front of dine in orders The manager said the orders were being fulfilled in the order received. Not from where I was sitting. It was easy to hear and observe the to go orders being placed and watch them walkout the door. After speaking with the manager. Whom, I should have apologized to for letting my frustrations get to a personal nature with him. I have been convinced to come back and try the place again At that time I will update my review.
