The Steak and Stout Gravy a Big Hit
I ordered the steak and stout gravy; it comes with grilled onions and a beefy stout gravy. This was surprisingly tasty dish, from the chunks of fried potatoes down to the tomato garnish. I would definitely recommend this dish.

Customer service rocks here. Well at least for us it did. The food was your typical Applebee’s fair. Nothing that made me say, wow, that was the best food I’ve ever had. But it was still good. Everyone enjoyed their food. The mozzarella sticks were tasty, cheeseburger egg rolls were okay but the BBQ sauce that came with them was the saving grace for that app. I wanted the wonton chicken tacos but they were out. The siracha shrimp is good. The music was a little too loud and clubbing for my liking. Again, service was great which is why it got a 3, if not, I would have given a 2.

Nice place to dine in. Prices are reasonable. They changed up their lunch menu. The 2 for $ 20 isnt available til 4pm. There is a skimpier selection to choose from maybe anout 5 entrees for $ 10 and the same for $ 12. It comes with soup or salad and a drink. Not too bad a deal.
So for lunch, we chose chicken tenders with salad and a sweet tea and three cheese chicken penne with chicken tortilla soup and also a sweet tea. For dessert we shared churros with marshmallow and chocolate dip.
The soup was a little peppery but still good and chunky. I love chunky soup. Very filling. The salad was nicely
had cheese, bacon, croutons. It was also very filling and satisfying. We could have filled up on these 2 starters alone.
The entrees… sadly, these were not as good as the soup or salad. We still ate them (well, not the penne). The tenders were a little overcooked and we asked for extra fries instead of the coleslaw and bbq sauce. We got neither and had to ask them to fix it. no big deal.
My penne was super bland. Hardly any chicken and hardly any sauce. I spoke to the manager about it and she was nice enough to offer something else. I declined and just asked for extra alfredo sauce instead which helped it big time. I decided to save the rest for my kids.
Dessert. It was cute. It was ok. Who doesnt like churros. I guess i expected more out of this marshmallow chocolate dip. Still yummy but just ok. Maybe the dispointment in my entrée carried over unto dessert. I just wasnt as excited about it as I thought I would be. I pictured giant disney sized churro sticks sticking out of a mug filled with hot melted chocolate and you could see a mixture of marshmallows through its glass… nope! Just a little bowl wuth hot chocolate with little marshmallows on top. Im sure the one I imagined would have tasted the same. but I still like mine better.
Anyway, overall service was good, they were all nice. Food was mediocre. Good atmosphere and clean bathrooms. I would go again when I cant decide on anything new to try.

The food is pretty good, but TWICE Ive been here and 15 minutes after seating us, not one server has come to even get our drink orders and once we sat up at the front for about 10 minutes and there was no host to even seat us, but a couple servers were sitting at a table folding silverware SEEING us standing there and not bothering, never coming back.

Not only do they have great food but the kids eat FREE on Tuesdays. This is awesome for my pockets and taste buds

Terrible. I echo the poor ratings of this Applebee’s from other Unilocal users. I’ll share you my story from my experience with them tonight. I had ordered through CurbSide To Go. I had put in my order online 30 minutes before getting there at the time they said that my online order would be ready. Low and behold, I get there; and without checking, she says that it’ll be a «couple more minutes.» I wait an extra 15 minutes during which time she never went back to check on my order. After 15 minutes, I kindly asked her to go back and check (and mind you, it was a Monday night with very low number of people dining in). She comes back and says to me, without apologizing, «Here’s your food.» My food was apparently just sitting out in the kitchen the entire time. I had requested my steak Medium Well. I get home, cut into my steak, and what comes out: Blood. And lots of it. The steak was as raw as it gets – in fact, completely raw inside – and my sides were not even warm out the box. I live 5 minutes away from this Applebee’s. What do I do next? I have to re-​cook the steak, re-​season the thing, re-​heat all my side dishes. The CurbSide To Go attendant was not friendly. In fact, their manager might want to train the wait-​staff not to talk badly about their customers within earshot. What do I hear as I wait for my food? I hear a waiter say «That woman over in table 16 has some (f-​word expletive) crazy kids.» Very professional. I’d stay away from this place.

So knowing what I know about this chain I went into this meal with lowered expectations. It was late on a Sunday and there aren’t a ton of options around so my wife suggested this place From the start to finish this meal was terrible, even for an Applebee’s. The staff are inconsiderate, lazy and potentially indigent. The patrons were the very last thing on the employees’ minds. We had to beg for ice, refills on tea, napkins, silverware and even our meal. I mean, literally beg no less than 4 employees. At one point I thought our waitress had decided to retire in the middle of our meal.
Our food was barely adequate, even for Applebee’s standards. I watched 3 different employees take meal breaks while we waited for our food. After waiting for almost an hour, our meal arrived cold and haphazardly thrown on the plate.
On top of a bad meal and horrific service, the Men’s Room was in complete shambles. The soap dispenser was on the floor, there was no hot water and the floor was covered in water and used paper towels. An employee entered the Men’s room and made a joke of how the restroom had been in such a condition for over a week.
As this abortion of a meal proceeded, we watched 2 other couples dress down the manager for bad service and food. It was after 9pm by the time the check came and I informed the waitress of all our complaints. I just didn’t have the energy to complain to the manager, who had probably secluded himself in the office to avoid any more complaints anyway.
Hopefully, this location will fire all of the employees and/​or close down before hunger forces other patrons to dine here again.
The manager should probably walk around Kenner going door to door apologizing for ever being born.

We are here now, and I’m ready to leave. The only reason we haven’t asked for the check and left yet is because we haven’t gotten our food. It’s been nearly an hour. My kids just got theirs. Our waitress is Extremely unprofessional and just horrible. Lisa. She’s loud and obnoxious and keeps calling everyone «my babies» and «my sweeties». I actually saw her run her hand across an elderly gentleman’s back who’s sitting by himself. Creepy. The male manager was talking about leaving to to the staff members right in front of us and was replaced by a female manager. I’d ask for a different waitress… but one has her fat rolls hanging out and the unshaven male waiter has his pants hanging below his butt. Ill post a picture. None of the male waiters here have shaven in a week.
As I’m typing this we still don’t have our food and my kids are done. The restaurant isn’t even halfway full.
After the 15^th «sweetie» I about lost it and asked her not to call me that again. Right after Lisa was loudly explaining shes trying to get custody of her grandson because her son picked a terrible girlfriend. We are waiting for a manager. An elderly lady near us just told us she’s upset too because Lisa said to her «do you want change».
We have asked the manager to just put our food in boxes so we can go. It’s 6pm. We got here at 4:30 and STILL haven’t been served.
I will Never come here again. I will say Angie the manager was excellent just now and professional and polite and tried her best to make up for that horrendous experience.

I ordered takeout the other night and it took an HOUR even though people came out 3 times to get our information. They certainly had no problem getting payment for it. Ended up having to go inside and get it. I think it’s just karma getting me for. ordering takeout from applebees.
the only reason for the 2^nd star is bc the first server to come out to the car was very friendly and the manager tried to email /​call and «discuss» it with me. I didn’t take it any further bc what’s the point? really. just fix the problem

So this was a last minute decision and honestly it shows. This Applebee’s is in an area that doesn’t have much going on but regardless this isn’t why I gave this place a low rating. When we walked in we were not immediately seated, even though there were servers standing around. It took a manager coming over seeing us standing waiting for us to be seated. Secondly, the server was terrible, we ordered chips and queso for an appetizer and were the chips ever so salty. It’s as if the chips were fried in salt. Also there were changes made to the recipe for the fiesta lime chicken. This is what my girlfriend and her mother got. I myself got the margarita shrimp and chicken and it was so full of lime. It took away from the meal because there was too much going on. I ordered their new strawberry lemonade and it took forever for that to come out to me. I just think this was a bad experience all together. If there was ever a time I would go back to this location, it would only be for drinks and sitting at the bar because everything else was absolutely terrible.

Great bourbon hamburgers and customer service. Will go back to this location.

I love this place the chicken fingers are the best. Every item on the menu is good. The place is always clean and the service is always good. Keep calm and Chive On

The only reason we came here was because we were tired of riding around looking for a place. When I walked in the crew had the dirtiest uniforms, I was praying for a waitress with a clean uniform, instead our waitress had cat or dog hair all over her shirt and her hair hanging off, I discreetly pulled it off when she turned her head to take my husbands order because it would have fallen into our food. The food was not worth the price. This place is definitely just owned as an investment not by a caring person who takes pride in their restaurant just like alot of these franchises these days. They could care less and it shows with their employees.

Their black and blue burger is AWESOME! i love a thick juicy burger and that is what I got. SO GOOD. The quesadilla burger however is not that great. The appetizers are regular crappy american chain food appetizers. Go for late night happy hour and cheap appetizers after 9:30. Bartenders are fun, its cheap and the appetizers are better when you’re drinking! The four stars are for the black and blue burger and the tasty drinks everything else is more like 2 or 3 stars.

It’s Applebees but the staff is very good at this one.
