Popcorn Haven

Tubs and tubs full of popcorn. Well.almost. I took the last remaining bit of the Chicago (cheddar and caramel). I heard this was a popular flavor and I was a bit disappointed they didn’t have a backup of the flavor. Oh well. I made up the difference with the Denver (white cheddar and caramel). This store also allows you to sample popcorn if you are a bit curious how the flavors taste. I tried the Oreo which tastes just like an Oreo cookie so I had to have it.
The kernels are large too! I wonder what they are feeding the corn with to get it that big. The lady who completed my order also made sure I was aware of the price difference between flavors before filling my popcorn bag. I hope next time I come back, Chicago popcorn is fully stocked.

So… having moved from Chicago a few months ago, I have been missing my food something fierce. I was in Kennesaw the other day, after (unsucessfully) attempting to find a Chinese restaurant like back home. Heading home resigned to just get fake White Castles, err I mean Krystals, I notice a Jimmy John’s (which I hadn’t seen in the area) and a Popcorn shop. Figuring I could AT least get a sub (shame there is no Potbelly’s in Atlanta) I decide to check out this shop. I was SURE they didn’t have Chicago mix (for those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s cheddar and caramel popcorn mixed together. Don’t knock it till you try it!), and IF they did, I was SURE it couldn’t possibly taste like my favorite shop back home… I was so glad to be disappointed! To me, it tasted BETTER than the brand I used to get back home. The young ladies in the shop were super friendly, one of them was from Chicago too, and we chatted about the good stuff back home before I happily left with my bag of deliciousness. I checked out the website and it’s run by brothers FROM Chicago. No wonder they got it right! AND to top it off, they have tons of other flavors… Kit Kat? Butterfinger? How did I miss that? I’m going back. I need a refill of the Chicago mix, after all… not like it was going to last more than a day.

Have been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed. I am a huge fan of the loaded baked potato flavor and get a bag each time I go. I did try out a few new flavors today though and was met with a nice and kind worker.
It is a bit pricey but the taste is worth it!

First visit to this location, got to try 3 flavors. If you buy more you get to try more. I suggest starting with the mini bags if this is your first visit. I bought crab leg, salted caramel, snickers & loaded baked potato.

Way to experience for popcorn a couple handfuls for almost 4 dollars plus the flavors or not even what they say… disappointed

Could not use a gift card because the employee did not activate it correctly. Customer service refused to do anything about it. Not sure if I can even call it customer service since there isn’t a number to the corporate office you can call. You just waste an inordinate amount of time playing phone tag. Beware when purchasing gift cards from this place. Make sure you keep your receipt. Otherwise, your amount could ‘dissapear’. I’m so glad Garrett’s Chicago popcorn has opened in Lenox. I will be spending my hard earned money there instead.

Second time I’ve been in here in the past two days! Ha! The service folks aren’t rude at all. Actually, quite pleasant– it also helps if you’re not on the phone while making an order?! Sooo many selections! And when I’d come in with my friend yesterday afternoon? We got to try more than one flavor before we’d settled on our four junior size bags of awesome popcorn. I’m glad I go to the gym often! This place is dangerous! Enjoy!

I’ve been eyeballing this place from a distance for a while now. Not wanting to develop any new bad habits, I’ve never gone into the store, until today. Talk about popcorn nirvana! Some of the flavors are hot wings, hot wings with blue cheese, chocolate pretzel, blue raspberry lemonade, cherry coke (that actually fizzes in your mouth), and a gazillion other flavors. They’ll let you sample up to three gourmet flavors. Oh I forgot, they even have crab leg flavored popcorn. Now that’s just gross. Anyway, The place itself is very simple, a few gift boxes on display, it’s the popcorn the steals the show. My concern was would the popcorn come loaded with unpopped kernals mixed in the bag. I’m happy to say, all kernals were popped! I settled on the cheddar covered caramel and the hot white cheddar mixed with regular cheese. Both were very, very good. After a few bites, I tossed both bags in the trash, way too many calories and way too addictive! Tossing the bags was all about me and my metabolism (which is most certainly on the decline!) the popcorn itself was scrumptious. I totally recommend Popcorn Haven!

Went in after trying to convince myself I didn’t need to go. It was because I knew. I knew I’d love it and I did.
The other reviews saying employees were unfriendly kind of deterred me for a second then I figured if it was bad then I just would get a bag and leave without a desire to return, no big deal. However, I was greeted when I entered by both ladies working. I read mention of a male working that didn’t seem friendly, maybe he doesn’t work there anymore? If he does, I’m sure I’ll meet him soon.
They gave me recommendations and I tried several flavors, I got 2 – 3 pieces with each which was enough to try it out.
So many flavors you guys. I am really indecisive and this was a tough choice. I took advantage of the sale they had going. Buy 3 bags of the same size and get the 4^th free. So I picked up a good variety and I can use that to pick out some new stuff next time!
I got:
Cinnamon toast crunch
Blueberry cheesecake
Jalapeño cheddar
Blackberry
The cheesecake has graham cracker crumbs.
The blackberry is made with the blackberry extract.
The jalapeño cheddar is pretty darn hot, and I like spicy things.
Cinnamon toast crunch smells like the cereal, but I didn’t test it out and bought it for someone.
If you’re like me and want to treat yourself then mosey in. Yes, it is kind of pricey but hey, it isn’t microwave stuff in here.
They have two tiers of prices, so read up beforehand so you know what you’re getting into. If you’re new and are wanting to try out a few flavors before really diving in then I suggest the mini bags.
I’m excited to go back when I’m back at school and try out new ones!

Rude and unconcerned service.
This has been a few months ago. I just kept forgetting to write the review. I entered on a whim, as I was passing by headed to Plato’s Closet. I didn’t «need» any flavored popcorn from mini garbage can style pails, but I had extra change, extra time, and I figured why not. I go in and there’s a woman on the phone taking an order. She looks right at me, but makes no gesture, gives no smile, nothing. There’s one middle aged man behind the counter and three people waiting. The man never greeted me, never said hello, never acknowledged my presence.
After waiting about 6 or 7 minutes, and making NO progress, I left. Without any popcorn. I had even narrowed my choices down to two, which was quite a feat, because to their credit, they had a zillion flavors. Although I do wonder– how much chocolate-​apricot popcorn do you sell, and how long has that corn been in the barrel? Oh well. I’ll never know. Orville Redenbacher’s Movie Time Butter it shall continue to be.

Wow! This place!!! I am a popcorn head,…seriously, as time has moved forward in my life I have a great deal of respect for the REAL stuff, not that microwave crap:-(
This past Christmas, I purchased an authentic old style popper and was quite excited about it too! Kroger had em on sale for $ 39.99 and everywhere else I checked (and I did a lot of checking around. even online) they were sooo stinkin high, like over $ 60. For my frugal’ness that was too much.
After my purchase I set out to find the perfect popcorn kernels and seasonings that were a tad beyond the norm. This is when I happened upon Popcorn Haven! No, they don’t sell kernels or seasonings but I got some ideas while visiting the store. First I was Christmas shopping on Dec 13^th, got stuck in traffic so I was just looking around and spotted Popcorn Haven. Of course I was excited, so I whipped in the parking lot and cruised on in… The first thing I noted once inside was they carried 250 flavors??? I was like «yeah sure»!
The two staff members were very friendly and allowed for samples so I tried a few out. Also one of their regular customers was there so we struck up a conversation and I was richly enlightened although its more exciting for me to pop my own fresh. Speaking on fresh, surprisingly the popcorns in those huge opaque canisters are not stale at all. I tasted the crab, hot cheese, bacon and cheddar and salt n vinegar. All were very good. There was no way I was leaving without a purchase now, my mouth was watering for more. I also learned they use a technique for flavoring that’s interesting, I think the term used was «fusing» the flavors right in the popcorn which leaves less mess on the fingers.
Well I was impressed and even though I now pop my own with my new Christmas toy, I will still «pop in» Popcorn Haven and make an occasional purchase:-). Btw the most interesting seasonings for my taste thus far are Asiago cheese/​cracked black pepper and Curry mixed with Spike

NO BBQ POPCORN!!! What??? :(they said it wasn’t very popular so they took it off… :(they do have some pretty weird flavors though! My favorite that I got was Creamy Dill & Cucumber. Tastes just like it sounds! The other one I chose was Hot Wings & Blue Cheese. YUMO! Again, really tastes like your eating hot wings!
Staff is very friendly and will let you try anything. Just don’t be there all day and want to try every flavor because the place does get packed at times and c’mon, there’s only two working there.
Cool concept. You can choose to buy a bag, OR buy a yin and bring it back to refill. up can choose up to 3 flavors at a time, maybe more depending in the size of bag your getting.
I would give this place a 4 star if they had BBQ! :(

Good pricey popcorn. I got their version of Chicago in a JR bag and honestly its just to much. Three days later and half the bag is just sitting there. Next time I’ll get the mini or a junior mixed.

Went again! Got «Blueberry Muffin», «Cookies n Cream» and «Bacon n Cheddar» flavored Popcorn2 Thumbs UP!

I am not sure if the workers there get paid on commission, but I found them to be very pushy and it was more of a pressured experience rather than a casual, fun environment, which is what I would expect at a flavored popcorn place. I went in for the 2^nd time, not really knowing what I wanted to buy or purchase so I wanted to just casually look first. Immediately there was pressure to try flavors, buy something, etc. I was the only customer in the place, so it wasn’t like I was holding up a line or anything. But the 3 workers all came at me with their sales pitches.
When I finally selected something, I just wanted the mini size because I wasn’t really convinced that was the real flavor I wanted. I was just trying to buy something to get out of there. When I said mini, one of the workers told me I really wouldn’t get the good flavor combination by only getting a mini so he tried to up-​sale me on the junior size, which was $ 5 more. I didn’t get that. When i went to check out, they tried to get me to buy drinks and other things when all I wanted was my mini bag of popcorn.
The popcorn is expensive, but I felt ok about purchasing the mini bag for a nice treat every once in awhile.
They let you try 3 flavors and literally just give you 1 piece of popcorn to try. I get that for kids because they would go crazy and take advantage of that, but I would think for adults, that rule would be a little different. Still, I think out of the 2 times I went there I tried about 5 flavors and honestly wasn’t blown away by any of the flavors. It was good, but not incredible. Maybe I have been so rushed and pressured while there that I have missed all of the best flavors that others are talking about.
I just didn’t like the sales mentality over popcorn. Don’t know if I would go back. If you are a big popcorn person and don’t mind the pushiness then I would recommend this place.

I enjoy visiting this place… over 200 popcorn combinations. There is a location in Kennesaw and one in the Camp Creek area in East Point. Love the Chicago style flavor with cheddar cheese and caramel. They will let you taste several flavors and if you are indecisive like me you could spend way too much time trying to select one to take home. They generally let you mix flavors so no pressure. Get a small bag. Anything bigger will kill you.

Its a fun concept. I had been to one a few yrs back at another location and enjoyed the different flavors. The prices are a bit high though and I didn’t find my popcorn to be as fresh as before. I would get the chocolate mint oreo again at some point, but for now my itch for novelty popcorn has been scratched.

Popcorn Haven never disappoints! This is a great place to go if you have a party or are looking for a special treat. They make 250 types of popcorn and offer at least 100 flavors at any given time. The selection is huge– everything from plain buttered popcorn to key lime pie (with bits of pie) to Italian sausage (with a wonderful variety of Italian seasoning). The bags are a bit pricey but the quality is high and it’s well worth it for a special treat. You will find yourself wondering when you can go back for more.
*Stop by here before you go to the movies and smuggle some of this tasty treat in instead of the blah stuff they sell in there.
