Took my twin daughters out hopefully for a good meal as I had always had at Red Lobster. All three of us had the«Overboard Platter» which contained a great deal of food. Service was excellent as well as the crisp salad, biscuits and beverages. However I now come to the bad part of our visit. The shrimp and lobster were dry and very, very bland. Bake potato was excellent. Thought it might be me but, my daughters agreed with me. I’ve eaten at Red Lobster since they started in business and it has always been 5 star with my wife and I with our five children so I’m sadden to place a 2 star on this meal but facts are facts. Just talked to manager Tim and he apologized and said to ask for him next visit and he would insure good service on my next visit. I paid over $ 100.00 for the meals and all I ever want is what I pay for.

My family and I have been to many Red Lobsters over the past decade in multiple states. Of all of them, this is the only location where the line does not go out the door every time we come here, both on weekends and weekdays. The management here runs this restaurant extremely well, and the service is excellent. We have had only one occasion where we didn’t want to wait for a table(Mother’s Day crowd). We hardly ever have to wait for a table, and when we do, it’s for less than 10 minutes max. The food is consistent and meets our expectations every time. For a midrange priced seafood restaurant chain, Red Lobster is a great choice and I highly recommend this location. We come here for birthdays and Father’s Day celebration, and always leave satisfied!

I never thought I’d be eating such good seafood in Georgia! The lobster was served fresh from the tank, in satisfying portions. It was a delightful surprise that we can enjoy the delicious garlic gravy of the mussels platter with toast! The only minus was that the lobster bisque was too salty. I’ve had better lobster bisque.

Went in last weekend for my friends birthday dinner. Waitress was good, talked loads more than necessary, but was ok. The food was A+ for me I really enjoyed it! I did not order appetizer or drink because I get full very quickly and I didn’t feel like doing to-go that day but the drinks that other people ordered looked very good and the appetizers were good as well. The a complimentary garlic biscuit was to die for! I had 3 of those unashamed to say that! I ordered the grilled tilapia with mashed potatoes and some broccoli, which was very well done probably the best I’ve had. Broccoli was soft and very lightly seasoned it tasted so well and I’m not even a huge fan of broccoli but I really enjoy this one. I guess something funny that happened was that since I only ordered a meal which cost me about $ 16 i put $ 20 in and had planned on giving her the rest for tips but I never got my change back… Guess she read my mind. I will definitely be visiting the other red lobster close to me on Cobb Parkway.

This place was such a disappointment. We ordered take out. When we got home there were no lemons, no butter/sour cream for the baked potato. They literally threw a baked potato in the takeout box and that was it. It was not cut or anything. Geez. Do a better job Red Lobster.

Went for dinner tonight. Food came out piping hot and not over cooked. Service was good. Server kept drink fill. The all-you-can-eat shrimp event is going on. Re-orders arrived quick and hot. Servers put in additional orders as soon as you receive an order so you don’t have to wait for food. I’ll be back when a special event isn’t happening just to see if food and service is still good.

Have always had great service at this one and every other Red Lobster I’ve been to. Love the Lobster, crab legs and two kinds of shrimp. Of course I have never had a bad experience at any of them but the one in here in Kennesaw is good and prompt friendly service.

Thought this Red Lobster would be better. The biscuits were warm and tasty. The salad was good. The service was a lot better than other Red Lobsters I had been to where they forget your appetizer or bring my bf frozen in the middle fish. The problem I have is with the serving size. The menu shows a picture of 2 regular size crab cakes with this hugh piece of salmon. When it comes out there is this tiny piece of salmon and 2 itsy bitsy crab cakes. I don’t think they were 2 inches across, more like a 1 ½ inch crab cakes. The salmon tasted okay. The crab cake tasted more like fish than crab. The baked potato was one of the tiniest I have had. The other side I gave to a friend. It was plenty enough food for me. Not outstanding, but adequate. The main problem is it never looks anything like the picture or the commercial and the crab cakes tasted more like fish cakes. If you can’t eat a lot it’s fine, but if you have a large appetite don’t go there expecting it to look like it does on the menu. The portions are just extremely tiny. They need to take pictures that don’t misrepresent what you are actually getting.

Don’t ever eat oysters here. It’s absolutely disgusting. They are like bathtub raised or something. I’ve had oysters at many many places. This has to be the worst I’ve ever had.

I was impressed with the food at this restaurant. Last time I’ve eaten here, I was 20 years younger and I don’t recall being the same. The appetizers were extremely tasty and the entrees were amazing. The food came out in a matter of a few minutes. To drink, I had the Bahama Mama… Amazing mixed cocktail. The service was great and professional. I must say, for an old American chain food restaurant, thus place surpassed any expectations by far. Thank you! Highly recommend!

I really don’t know what to say. It’s a typical Red Lobster. Same décor for as long as I can remember… We couldn’t have asked for a nicer waitress. I got the shrimp and scallops(lunch)!! The food TASTED quite good. Again, typical of what you expect there… As far as the prices go, well… There ok depending on what you get. Lol now let me get back to the meal… Shrimp were flaky and golden brown… Now, here comes the good part. Lol the scallops. Yes the scallops. We can’t forget them. Hahaha im guessing there were about 12 – 15 on my plate. Ofcourse, it took 12 – 15 to make maybe 3 average sized scallops… I mean seriously, and I am not exaggerating this at all… These were the saddest and SMALLEST ones I’ve ever seen… Do you remember the little marbles you played with as a kid? The little ones, not the big ones… Well, in all honesty my scallops were smaller than that! I actually laughed out loud when the waitress brought them to our table! She did also when I pointed out what I was laughing at… I told her not to worry about it. If the scallops I had on my plate is the best that they can do for there lunch, then in my opinion, they should take them off the menu!!! Not really sure if we will ever go back for lunch again… All in all, it was an ok experience. Food was good. But due to the TINYSAD scallops, two stars at best!

Went again with another coupon. Did the pick two choices lunch combo. Server was good, food was decent but don’t choose the scallops. Didn’t realize they’d be bay scallops. These were extremely tiny. The portions are small for the price no matter what you get, at least as far as anything seafood. The veggies are always cooked to perfection though. I did leave here hungry still which is rare for me.

WTF? I’m giving 4 stars to Red Lobster? Yes I am. I like seafood. Of course, going to Red Lobster when I’m craving seafood is the last thing on my mind. I didn’t choose this place. A group did so I had to follow them. Oh well. First of all, I would like to commend the staff. They were awesome and sweet taking care of our big group. They did their job efficiently and everything seemed to run smoothly. I ordered the Sailor’s Platter. It came with hand breaded fried shrimp, garlic shrimp scampi, and a broiled fish fillet. I ordered green beans as my side. The food wasn’t bad. I liked the strong garlic flavor of the shrimp scampi. Also, the breaded fried shrimp didn’t taste bad either. The green beans tasted a little bland, but it was cooked well. The fish tasted good too. Overall, I had a satisfying meal here. What about their famous cheese rolls? They’re overrated. I never liked them.

3 stars. «Jumbo» and«shrimp» will never be used in the same sentence at Red Lobster. The«Endless Shrimp» promo brings some tasty, albeit tiny, shrimp prepared in one of four different styles. You get two styles — your choice — first, and I chose deep fried and scampi. The delicately breaded deep fried version was my forced-ranking winner for flavor, with the scampi version swimming, or rather drowning, in butter and a bit of garlic coming in second. I also sampled the soy/wasabi shrimp, bathed in a sweet brown sauce, with a hint of wasabi. Meh, and clearly number three on the taste scale. The shrimp alfredo looked like a heart attack on a plate, and was not sampled so as to not piss off my cardioligist — numero quattro. Seriously, the shrimp are the smallest I’ve seen in a long time, with the exception of those microscopic bay shrimp found on your favorite Shrimp Louie. No wonder shrimp is endless at the Red Lobster. The main dishes are accompanied by a very basic salad and a side. I chose a decent pilaf. The highlight, and the real reason to come to Red Lobster, is the bread basket filled with warm cheddar biscuits. Truth in advertising: IMOHO Red Lobster ought to rename the place«Cheddar Biscuit» and begin serving fish on the side. That moniker more appropriately describes the most accomplished, tastiest and most special-est food item on the menu. Just sayin’. Dang those biscuits.

Who am I kidding. Trying to stay away from Unilocal for me is like staying away from home. So instead of a Unilocal hiatus, I’m switching to a Unilocal diet. I just need to learn to control myself and Unilocal in smaller portions! Not to mention my Unilocal drafts folder is getting really full! So I guess this means I’m back! :-) — — — — — — - — - - THESCENE Father’s Day 2013 — I was totally disappointed because what I really wanted was dinner @ Henry’s Louisiana Grill. However, unbeknownst to me, they are closed on Sunday’s and I made a drive across the city for nothing. So disgusted with myself for not checking the companies business hours, I turned to an old family favorite… Red Lobster. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you hard core Unilocalers frown on chains like this, but I don’t have a problem with eating at tried and true oldies like Red Lobster. After all, rarely have I tasted rolls better than theirs and the rolls were fantastic today! Our party of 6(including my wife’s dad & sister) munched through three baskets of the little hot and fluffy delights. THEFOOD Although there were some good values on the menu, I opted for the $ 28 Ultimate Feast which included a split Rock Lobster tail, butterfly shrimp, shrimp n’ garlic and crab legs. Not exactly high quality, but once upon a time the price was a lot more reasonable. Top that with a bowl of their tasty clam chowder and a pineapple upside down dessert and my Father’s Day meal was a real treat. Except that my two youngest boys ate nearly all of my clam chowder & crab legs, half my lobster tail, and 1⁄3rd of my shrimp as well as their plates of chicken fingers and popcorn shrimp too. They are in the middle of a growth spurt which simply means no food is safe within their viewing presence. THEVERDICT Thanks anyway Red Lobster! What little food I did get to eat was enjoyable, but I must say your pricing has increased considerably since my last visit. You are no longer the value I once thought you were and my star ratings are largely based on value for the money. Unilocal100[84]

So, I had never been to a Red Lobster, and after hearing about the cheddar bay biscuits for years and years, I decided it was time. I’ll wait another 28 years before going back. They’ve got an amazing food photographer on hand as everything on the menu looks delectable. Sadly, it doesn’t deliver. Everything was salty and otherwise bland. I could have been eating lobster, or it could have been chicken. Who knows. The famous biscuits, while warm and flavorful and comforting, were nothing overly amazing. Certainly not worth the price of having an entire meal here, which, by the way, is far too high for the quality you get. Why on earth would you come here when we have really tasty casual seafood joints like Crawfish Shack? It’s questions like these that keep me up at night.

I stopped by Kennesaw Red Lobster for dinner with one of my coworkers in what would become my first(and only) experience at this popular American seafood restaurant chain. It appeared this location recently underwent some renovations because the restaurant looked new, inside and out. Red Lobster has a fun design because it’s constructed to resemble something you’d find on a New England harbor. The wood furnishings and nautical décor(lighting, artwork) try to promote a feeling of dining on the docks. This chain offers just about every basic seafood staple: shrimp, crab, lobster, calamari, scallops, clams, and fish(flounder, salmon, tilapia, haddock); prepared in a variety of ways. You can even get lobster pizza. For landlubbers, they also serve wings and steaks. Considering I’m allergic to crustaceans, it knocked out a good portion of the menu for me and made ordering a whole lot easier. I ended up splitting the New England Seafood Sampler($ 10.95) and ordering the $ 16.99 «Create Your Own Feast» consisting of wood-grilled salmon and peppercorn-grilled sirloin(you can also upgrade to three items for $ 20.99). The Seafood Sampler had seafood-stuffed mushrooms(lobster, crab), breaded clams, and bacon-wrapped sea scallops. The clam and scallop meat was on the measly side. Both the grilled salmon and grilled sirloin tasted like they’d been frozen and reheated. Dry, chewy, and just not very good. The seafood tasted like something you could find at Costco. Despite the lackluster food, service was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming and we received our orders from the kitchen in just a short amount of time. Attentive server.
