One star only because I couldn’t find a way around it. No longer our wonderful friendly Bookworm of years gone by. The staff are snippy people. Customer service went out the door with the former owner, and it’s gone downhill since then. Two stores, now only one. Drastic cuts in benefits, using credit toward new books, value of «punch card». The price of new books quite high, compare to Hastings, Amazon, not even competitive! They are so picky about books they accept. Hey girls! These are USED books after all. You’re giving us a fraction of the value & charging buyers double that! As a result lousy selection of older books. I miss Judy and the other adults that used to work there. They actually read books and could discuss & recommend. Anita was hands on lady, assisted customers, answered questions. I’ll use up my credit eventually, but no longer my go-to place for books. Some things were too good to last, Adieu Bookworm.

For new and used books, this store is a pretty good size. They have a nice kids selection with toys that kids can occupy themselves with while their parents peruse the store. They really like to let you know you’re on camera. Seriously pictures and signs everywhere. They probably have cameras in the bathroom, I wouldn’t know though because although it was vacant it was locked. The customer service really wasn’t good. No interaction from anyone, the staff was super busy talking to each other and ignoring customers. Maybe if they had a more interactive staff they wouldn’t have to have so many cameras and signs trying to prevent people from stealing.

Questionable customer service — I walked in today with a sack of books to see if I could«trade in» or sell any of them. There is a service counter right up front that says trade in counter. I waited in line behind people to talk to someone. When it was my turn, the employee just said«put your name and phone number on a post it note and leave them there.» Then she walked away. Um, what if I had a question? How is this supposed to work? It would have been nice to know if I was going to get anything for any of my books(although my hopes weren’t high, because I remember bringing in a bunch of stuff years ago to their Richland location and they only took 1 or 2 things for pennies on the dollar) Anyway,…my daughter and I looked at kids books for a while to kill time waiting for her to assess the books I brought. I kept looking over to see if she was going to look at them. She didn’t. She ignored my bag and continued to help other people who kept coming up to her counter. I couldn’t help wondering why she chased me off. Meanwhile, my daughter picked up a Wimpy Kid used hardback book. Price? $ 7 and they cover the original price with their own printed sticker so you can’t compare. Luckily, I have a smartphone and was able to find the same book, hardcover, NEW, on Amazon for the exact same price. We left without a transaction. Won’t be back.

They have a good selection, and fair prices. Located in Marineland Village, this location has tons of parking available. Trading in books is easy, and staff is friendly. Their updated computer system makes checking your in-store credit easier, as their old notecard system was sometimes hard to read. Friendly staff, good books… Fun place to check out some new reads!

Being new to the area & a book lover I have been looking for a place like this! They have a great selection of used books that are wonderfully priced! I got two of my favorite fiction books today for under 10 dollars! & not only that but they are organized and keep multiple copies of the more popular titles! not to mention the cute little dog running around. My new favorite place, definitely will be back.

Books… lots and lots of books… yeah! You can turn in books for credit, which is always nice. They have a very large selection of used books, which is well organized, and a small selection of new books.

I have heard good things about this place although I didn’t go inside to check it out this particular day. We had to meet up with my mother in law there. So I figured I would add a snap shot to make it a little wasier to find the place.

I love this place. I guess I should say more. Not only do they help to declutter my home of once-is-enough books, but they then allow me to feed my habit of finding more books at a great price. And, with every book that is read by more than one person, fewer trees are sacrificed. And that’s a good thing.
