This place is fairly unorganized and dirty. It seems that this place is under staffed and I see the people trying their hardest to make everything nice and neat. Sad to witness that. It’s like watching someone die. The prices here are off because of the disorder in the place. I got 2 notepads that was worth .79 cents each but got rung up as $ 2.19 total charging me a dollar each. I wanted to say something but there wasn’t enough people on the floor. Really sad to witness.

This store had the worst customer service. They cannot multi task at all. So ridiculous.

Wow. Just wow. It’s messy, crazy, a mish mash of stuff. The staff seems overwhelmed. The customers are the kind of people you see on the«People of Walmart» site. Sure, it’s cheaper than Target, but you are also getting stuff that may be expired, off brand, or just crazy. Still, there’s something endearing about it. And it’s air conditioned.

They have a lot of imitation stuff. You will find deals here for anything for your home. Staff is ok; some are pretty slow. Store layout is pretty good and make things easy to find. Christmas Party Tip: If you’re looking for good Christmas party gifts, come here because I’m pretty sure you have those White Elephant Gift Exchange under $ 10 gifts and you can come here to fulfill that. I know they solved my entry to my party with the gifts I found. I didn’t see the 2 ladies with the main lady singing her heart out from the commercials, here. thank goodness!

Good prices, like any other store in the chain, but the customer service is sorely lacking. On my most recent visit, the cashier, who I believe was an assistant manager, neglected to give me my receipt. When I asked about it, she was highly annoyed and could not find it. She did print out a duplicate, but her attitude about it could have been more conciliatory as it was her error.

I have mixed feelings about this particular location. On the plus side. On Black Friday of 2011, I ended up purchasing a Queen Size Serta mattress for roughly $ 400 with a pillow topper and box spring, plus a couch for $ 200. Both of which I have and love. I love their prices on my favorite teas and juices, plus I am a sucker for noodle dishes too. Neutral: I ended up buying Christmas lights for our tree. Half of them did not work, after going through for two hours and trying to find the«broken» one, I gave up and returned it and got a new one; it worked!!! Negative: Stocking holders were placed in the 50% off section, but upon checking out they were not and they wanted us to pay $ 20 for two instead of $ 10. They were nice, definitely not worth full price. So, we had to wait for the young girl to ask her manager for a reversal and she was standing at another register getting change… we had to wait over ten minutes because the manager was too busy chatting with another worker and our cashier did not care enough to interrupt to help us get on with our day. Not impressed by that particular cashier. I tend to venture to Big Lots a lot since I live down the road. So, I will be back. :)

It’s Big Lots. It’s a chain. There’s not a whole lot I could write that would enlighten anyone on what Big Lots has to offer. I’ve found deals here on things like Christmas decorations and toys. But I think I made a risky error in deciding to purchase a sofa here on Black Friday. The sofa itself is nice — cushy, big and what appears to be surprisingly good quality. Now that I’ve had it for a bit I’m really loving it. The price was great of course. But — and this should really be an all caps BUT — I should have known better than to agree to purchase an item that wasn’t in stock at the time. Nearly a month since we made the purchase and still no sofa. The worst part is that of all their employees, only one measly manager had the«power» to access the system that gives delivery status and dates. So if he was not working, not a single soul could tell me where my sofa was. As a customer it is not only frustrating but it makes every other employee there look like an incompetent fool. It’s called cross-training folks. Get it together. That said, when I did complain about the delay and runaround they offered to give me 10% back and they came through on that promise, which I do appreciate. Will I be back? Probably. Will I ever buy a piece of furniture here again? Not likely.

((Black Friday)) I have been in this Big Lots many times(I love this place, btw) Particularly I wanted to do a review of Black Friday. We arrived about 8am(after we got done at Fred Meyer) and honestly there were not alot of people there,(Which made us happy !) They were having great sales, and we were able to shop at a normal pace(not like a mad frantic mob) The one thing that really stood out for me, is the gentlemen in the back with the furniture, He was helping a man before me, then I also had a question(he wasnt even open yet) but he smiled and was very courteous. I thought they had a recliner on sale as what was in the ad, I had wanted to buy it, but that sale price was their«thanksgiving day» sale only. Well I was disappointed as well as I had the person with me that would receive the gift so I couldn’t take it that day(By the way Big lots has a «price hold» system) it is kind of like a layaway … anyways I went on with my shopping and was in the check out with the same gentlemen came and got me out of line, took me to the back and told me, he was going to just offer me the price that was advertised yesterday… That was super cool !!!

This is my firs time at this location, i usually go to the one in Renton and that one looks like Walmart…(not a compliment) But this one was nice and organized, things were on shelves and in their proper aisle. My mom scored a wood planting station for $ 50 which usually runs for well over $ 100. All in all, we were pleased, I will be back to find some things for my apartment.

Ok, this joint to me is like a BIG Dollar Plus MORE store! They have EVERYTHING. Where do they get it from? I mean they have some name brand stuff and some knock off name brand stuff. They have junk that is inside my garage all set up on display for sale. And for some reason you think you need it but realize after putting it into your cart(hopefully before check out) you DO have this already. Even the food-stuff is strange, high sodium snacks of crap! My mother in law LOVES this place, but to me ~ it’s a dollar tree gone wild! I think it’s subpar merchandise that is disposable that you don’t really need or want.
