My experience here last night was awesome. I went in with my niece who had just turned 5. The girl behind the counter (I believe her name was Tanya?) spoke directly to my niece when she took her order, which is always nice. She’s 5 and wants to be independent. Then, after I ordered and I was going to pay, I mentioned that it was my niece’s birthday and that we had gone to Red Robin for dinner, but that they hadn’t sang to her even though I told them it was her birthday, which is why we ended up here for ice cream. So she asked what my niece’s name was and proceeded to sing her Happy Birthday. My niece thanked her with a smile. That was a very sweet gesture. Then later, as we were eating our ice cream, the girl came out to do some cleaning and such, and my niece asked her what was behind the door. so she got to learn about «where the ice cream lives», which was the first thing she went home and told both of her moms. She thought that was pretty cool.
Thank you again, and I’m sorry if I got your name wrong. You were great. We will be back. :)

Service was very slow. Disinterested is an understatement as one other reviewer put it. I would call it rude. Theee ladies working but only one attending to customers. When I asked one to help me she said she had to finish stocking the ice– cream in a «as if I cared» tone. We left without purchasing anything because of the rudeness. When we looked back all three were laughing. I have had
Cold Stone previously and thought it over priced. So I didn’t mind being run off with such bad service. I won’t ever return. I would advise others likewise.

Service always seem uninterested, but that’s fair. They work right next to the movie theater and I imagine if gets extremely busy and that’s frustrating. Ice cream is always good though, and isn’t that why you go to an ice cream shop?

Came to this location because it was close to my fathers house, when we walked in the line was long and only two people working, finally when it was our turn my friend order a chocolate Carmel milkshake and I got mint ice cream, she started to make the milkshake first and was using every last bit of the chocolate like scraping it out of the container. When she was done with the milkshake it wasn’t enough to to film up the cup so she had to make more and still than it didn’t fill, so I paid the whole thing when it wasn’t full. And we know cold stone is not cheap.
When it came to my order she right away ask me for a love it size or got to have it, in reality I wanted the smaller size, the like it size. I could tell it was because of my body size. A bigger girl wants a bigger ice cream I can tell she was thinking by just looking at me. So ride hate when people do that to me. I probably never come back to this location again.

I just called to order birthday ice ream cake, WILL NEVER, go there again. A totally RUDE man name Chris was so rude. can’t take order too busy… i then called Tukwila cold stone reached REALLY nice lady ordered cake with no problem. Sad I had ordered same birthday cake every year for granddaughter there since Kent Station open sure won’t go there again.

Prices are definitely a little steep, but I think you get what you pay for. Always spot on and always fills the spot! Only thing is, most of the kids who work here are pretty young and are more interested in talking about their hot yoga classes rather than talking to the customers…

I tried three flavors: French vanilla, skinny vanilla, and coffee before deciding that I wanted a mix of chocolate and banana. I asked for 25% chocolate and 75% banana. The guy had to repeat my request because he wanted to make sure he heard it correctly. Hahaa. I had roasted almonds added in my ice cream mixture and it was so tasty! The almonds were really fresh! MmMm… ice cream for dinner.
I almost forgot that the workers sing when you contribute to the tip canister. Heigh-​ho, heigh-​ho~ we thank you for the song~ :)

For the most part this cold stone is very nice and have a very friendly atmosphere. Great place to get some yummy ice cream. In fact, Kent Station in general is a really cozy little spot. The girls that work there are also very nice and quickly apologize if they forget something.

I’m not a fan of this location. I had a coupon for bogo free and the girl who rang me up only took off $ 3.00 when it should have been $ 4.00. I love cold stone but would rather drive to south center then deal with crappy dishonest service.

Who can resist ice cream on a nice hot summer day? Those are the type of days I’m most likely to go to Coldstone. Their ice cream is definitely tastey, they have many different flavors as well as tons of toppings. I have also had very friendly service both at the Covington and Kent locations. There are just a few problems I have and those are the reasons I docked a couple stars. One is price. The price of their shakes is actually MORE expensive than Starbucks frappuccinos which is insanity. The other thing is at the Covington location, many times they aren’t open when they should be. That’s a good way to lose business when you post hours and you aren’t there during those hours. Another thing is expect it to take AT LEAST a minimum of 15 minutes for them to finish your order and that’s only if you have just one person in line ahead of you. If it’s a longer line you’ll be there 30 minutes or more.
I still think it’s a great place to go on a hot summer day if you don’t mind spending a little extra dough, indulge in a treat, and don’t mind waiting.

BAD.BAD.BAD I WENT ON JAN 21 FOR A BROWNIE SUNDAY .the girl gave it to me with no whip no nuts NO FUDGE one small brownie. there was a picture above… it is supposed to have several brownies and whip and nuts when i ask her about it she laugh she was more interested in the guy in back then the customer then she make my daughters wrong to. I call to complain I only complain since this was our third problem there… and ««» TINA ««» the owner or manger of the covington store and Kent store said call me next time you want to come in and you can have 2 FREE item WHY NOT JUST SEND ME COUPONS ?? what a LIAR after a week of calling her cell and both store no response until the 5 day all My calls and she says oh I was out of town? she is as bad as her workers, they also seem to think it is OK to have the boyfriends behind the counter or in back and goof around and did not care about the customers at all I will not waste my time or money again .
I LEFT MESSAGE FOR TINA AT BOTH HER STORE KENT AND COVINGTON STORE AND AT LEAST THE KENT STORE PICK UP THE PHONE ONCE THE SECOND TIME THE ANSWER MACHINE CAME ON THE COVINGTON STORE BOTH TIMES NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE WONDER WHY ???

Amazing amazing people work here! They actually hold conversations with you and don’t mind letting you try all their ice cream! Perfect place for desert during summer or winter. Their ice cream is always amazing! Worth coming here every time I have the chance. The only down side is it is too pricey, but everything else is great!

Went in tonight — only one employee with a line out the door. I’d honestly give the employee herself five stars because even though she was getting negative and rude comments about the slow service and lack of employees left and right — she responded positively to each one AND mixed ice cream AND rang people up while also, when it was my turn, asking me how long I waited and apologized. She was so sweet and personable it definitely turned the bad experience of a long wait into a great service experience. Four stars because whoever owns this franchise has dropped the ball. If you own a franchise and you’re understaffed you need to roll up your sleeves and get in there yourself. Actually the owner gets one star. ;) Until he/​she hires help for that young lady! The ice cream was delicious of course!

This is my local neighborhood ice cream spot. Good service. I love the signature Thats how I roll, simple but super delicious.

Must have changed their hiring practices. Well done folks! Consistently good service the last few times I’ve gone, with employees who practice personal hygiene and talking to other human beings (and the ice cream still rocks). Thank you.

I love coming here. Great service, great atmosphere, (although they don’t have a ton of room; probably not the place for a large group unless you want to eat outside) and, above all, great ice cream. Rich, creamy, flavorful, and a wide variety of flavors and types including frozen yogurt, sugar free, and fat free options. The prices seem a little high, but once you try the I e cream, you’ll understand.

Coldstone is always a fun idea. You get to pick your ice cream, candy and other snacks, they mix it, you eat it.
Service is a little on the slow side, it’s like that every cold stone I’ve ever been to. It takes time to scoop ice cream and mix it up. There are not a lot of places to sit inside either.
If you’ve never been there, check it out.

What in the world is «Birthday cake remix»? Whatever happened to good old classic ice cream? Why can’t I just get a normal chocolate ice cream cone that isn’t so rich that I want to throw it away before I’m halfway done with it?
The kids these days like ice cream like this, but personally I’ll stick with Baskin-​Robbins.

Ice cream is nothing to really rave about, but I still come here due to the kids. However what I found to be very interesting was the fact where the cashier leaves the credit card transaction after they are ran, in a basket right at the front counter! WOW! I mean how convienent would it to be for some credit card number thief (entire credit card number printed on transaction) to just grab a handful and walk away?! Possibilities are endless with what people can acquire with just something as simple as that!
Ice cream– is a solid 3 star, it’s good nothing great.
Service– was very informative
Final thoughts– Should be more cautious with how they store their credit card transaction. I mean really, what’s the point of having a cash register if it’s not going in there?

Minor annoyances spoiled what would have been a good treat.
Tonight we were going to pick-​up a couple of ice cream cakes from CSC at Kent Station. Two things really spoiled the experience for us.
First, the two ice cream cakes and a small container of sorbet were over $ 50, something I don’t think either my wife or I suspected when the order was placed over the phone. I’ll take ownership of this issue. In some part we thought «no worries, I’ve got a Kent Station gift card for $ 25, so it’ll only be $ 25 more out of pocket.»
Wrong. Problem number two had to do with the store’s or their staff’s inability to do a split payment for merchandise (ie. $ 25 gift card plus $ 25 cash or credit). So we ended up paying $ 50 out of pocket. Ouch! Given the fact that in nearly any other instance where I have needed to do a split payment — grocery stores, music stores, etc. — I strongly have the feeling that either the staff person wasn’t fully trained on how to do this. I have a hard time believing the retailer is not equipped to handle transactions like this.
In the end, the ice cream cakes were adequate but not stellar. It takes a significant amount of distraction to put a damper on my enjoyment of ice cream, but that was enough to do it for me.
