This road side stand can be refreshing with a soft serve cone. They have 24 artificial flavors of goodness(depending on your opinion). I usually don’t like these places but the grape soft serve was absolutely refreshing. My wife thought I was crazy but I have been tempted to go back today and get another one. The negative is their flurries. My wife ordered a Reese’s flurry. The top half had the Reese’s cup while the bottom half was frozen cream. The vanilla«ice cream» in this flurry tasted nasty. It didn’t taste like ice cream and had an odd after taste. My wife would give this place zero stars but the grape redeemed it to 2 stars. The mini-golf behind looks good for kids and they have a few small quarter machines to ride on in back.

Stopped by Frank’s on our way to the Mogadore Reservoir Park(which is right down the road). We decided try out their soft serve ice cream, of which they have a whopping 27 flavors! Flavors like german chocolate, blackberry, and rum are going to be hard to find anywhere else! Now soft serve is always a gamble… You never know if it going to be made from a dairy alternative or with real cream… I am pleased to say Frank’s was the latter, and it was super cheap! There was also a nice selection of hard ice cream and fried foods. Right behind the drive-in is a mini-golf with some quirky nostalgic sculptures. Only downside to this place is the hours. They are not really posted anywhere and seem to vary from day to day. I went on a Thursday in Summer and they were open from 2pm-10pm. Other than that, Frank’s is a real hole-in-the-wall tasty snack shack! I need to go back and try some more of their soft-serve flavors!

Awesome! Go here during the summer! Not only do they have a ton of ice cream flavors, but also some delicious fried foods — my onion rings were perfectly artery clogging. They’re open pretty late in the height of summer(10pm), so that’s nice if you have a sudden urge for a cone. They have some seating around, but not that much — and while it’s lit at night, it’s not extremely brightly lit. Still — it’s a great little shack and I will definitely swing by again. Hours vary throughout the warm months, and it’s closed in the winter, so you may want to call ahead before trekking over.
