I love Mattie and Andrew but everyone else is pretty much completely incompetent. I’ve come to this Starbucks at least 10x and maybe once they got my drink right. Mostly right. I work at a coffee shop and I don’t think the job is that hard. Sometimes my orders are complicated, yes but how do you mess up a coffee with extra soy?! It’s no wonder the Dunkin Donuts across the street gets so much business, I’d go there too if they had non dairy creamers. Long story short; just go the Sbux on campus or Dunkin across the street. Otherwise you’re gonna wait in line for 5−10mins just so they can mess up your drink.

I don’t go into a McDonalds expecting Bobby Flay burger. With that said, I had some pretty high expectations for this store. I knew it was still your typical Starbucks, but I was not ready for what happened. How can you cal this a «Reserve» store? Isn’t this supposed to be a shining example of your ability? From the Clover machine(still broken 3 weeks later), to the«pour over» intended to replace the Clover. After my 10 minute wait: The started my drink. After my 20 minute wait: I got my drink. Baristas were rude, coffee was two sips and in the garbage(I got two different coffees, one Ethiopian, and one Honduras. I couldn’t tell the two apart, and I cup coffee all day long.) This store was filthy. Absolutely dirty in every corner, from the restrooms to the tables. There were«wear» marks all over the handles and railings. I got to witness the staff«weigh» out coffee using a scoop instead of a scale. Seriously? Starbucks should pull the R from this store. It was run more poorly than many of their typical stores. Eliminate the rude, uncaring and mediocre(at best) staff and start from the ground up. Call it what it is: fast food quality coffee. Skip this. Go to Bent Tree instead.

This is one of the better Starbucks I’ve been to. I love to go there and do work. They always get my order right. And for the amount of people that flow through there it’s relatively fast. And the staff is super nice!

Way too slow. I’ve seen baristas at other Starbucks get through a line of 15 people in 15 minutes. I waited nearly 15 minutes for my drink behind two others ahead of me. I don’t think the shot were mixed well enough. Not on the list of good Starbucks locations

Conveniently located and heavily frequented this starbucks has some good and some bad. The good? The staff tops the list. Everyone that works there is a complete charm and so personable. They are, by far, the best staff of any starbucks around. The store itself is also quite nice. Newly remodeled with 2 floors of seating. Lastly the bakery always has a nice selection. The bad? Parking is hellish and crowded. If possible, walk there. The store itself can also get rather crowded for the morning class rush. I expect it and the staff doles out drinks at a very nice pace so unless your are in a HUGE hurry you should be fine. The only thing that bothers me with this place is that they seem to water down drinks? Their frappucinos tend for the watery side and their chai latte can be rather bland(compared to other starbucks in the area). I’ve started compensating for this by asking for lite ice or extra pumps of chai but in the end I wish I knew what they were doing so differently to alter the taste like that. But that’s the only reason they lost a star! Everything else there is A+ in my book.

I’ve been reading a few of these reviews, and people need to calm down. No, Starbucks isn’t a local coffee joint. If you want it, go to Tree City or Scribbles– they’re doing fine. Since the remodel the place looks super nice, is comfortable, and doesn’t have the problems with the line since they have a new line formation. The parking still sucks at peak times though. Another thing: it’s not Starbucks’ fault if you get towed. There is another business that shares the same lot. If you get towed, it’s your own fault for not following the rules. Don’t park in the employee parking. Don’t make a spot where there isn’t one. Don’t park in the 30 minutes when you’re going to be longer. Don’t leave your car in the lot. Both businesses are just trying to make money, and they can’t when you don’t follow the parking rules. Yes, the Starbucks coffee is *gasp* Starbucks coffee with Starbucks prices. Show me any other Starbucks that doesn’t have those two things and it’s not a Starbucks. However, this is the friendliest, most knowledgeable, most skillful barista staff I have ever come across. They’ll sell you a great cup of coffee and explain it to you, too. And if you’re looking for a great cup of coffee brewed in a more«non-traditional» way, try one from the clover. You won’t regret a great cup of Starbucks reserve from this reverse-French press.

It’s the layout. This used to be a local place, and they had it laid out differently. Yes, the two floors are nice, and the upstairs is cozy, but it makes you feel like they didn’t consider what would happen when a long line would form, which is confusing because Starbucks is popular. Anyway, that’s my two cents.

I HATE this Starbucks! HATE. Besides the fact that I was almost towed on my first visit, I’m not a fan of the place for other reasons. I’ve been several times to this location & never enjoyed my experience. This is really the only bux on the way to school, so I stop. There’s always a long line & it never seems to move very quickly. My latest excursion to this location resulted in 10 + minutes for a macchiato(traditional, not that caramel thing). Between the wait in line, to the order presentation I thought I might throttle the barista. Not only did he make 1 beverage at a time, he took his week time to do it. Upon presentation of my beverage, I informed him that he made it incorrectly & would like a do-over.(Please people, a macchiato is espresso & foam… NOMILK) In stead of him re-making the drink right away, he made 3 others before mine. Look, I informed him nicely, he could have just re-made the drink quickly & got me outta there, but no… I swear, I shall avoid this location if at all possible. I am saddened that it isn’t a better organization. Le sigh Starbucks, you make me sad here in KENT.

The staff at this Starbuck’s location is pretty solid, which is good, because it is, after all, a Starbucks. The building is actually really cool; it is inside an old house. My only issue is that seating can be spotty at times. The same is true of parking. Overall, it really is an «A-OK» joint.

The staff is very friendly and nice. It is a great place to sit, relax and study. Great background music too. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because parking can be a little bit of a problem…

They’re slow, rude and hardly get drink orders correct. THEYWILLTOWYOURCAREVENIFYOUPURCHASE A BEVERAGE. I get coffee from here every single day, however, after being towed they will no longer be seeing my business.

This is no different than other Starbucks, but I have always gotten friendly and prompt service here. I can’t complain. It is close to the KSU campus and has outdoor seating for beautiful days.

I think this Starbucks is pretty nice compared to others. Perhaps because it’s located so close to Kent State University, this place is huge. There are two levels with seating, which is great, but many of the seats are still always taken. It can get really hectic at times, but the staff are really good about keeping the flow of traffic smooth. Even when the place is packed, you won’t wait too terribly long for your order. Even when I’ve gone during peak times, my order is prepared exactly the way I request, and I’m one of those picky customers. The food always looks nice and fresh, but I don’t typically order it so I can’t provide much insight to its quality. Overall, this place shouldn’t disappoint you if you’re accustomed to typical Starbucks fare.

Look, it’s a Starbucks. If you expect it to be like every other Starbucks you won’t be disappointed… in fact, you may even be pleasantly surprised. The employees are exceptionally nice and the building itself is fairly large with plenty of space for visiting, reading, studying, etc. Definitely recommended.
