So, fine. I bought an $ 80 Bissel at Target. I know I didn’t spend the money for a super duper vacuum. But don’t for a minute insult my choice to do that by saying, «They don’t make them in China to fix them darlin’.» I was pondering spending $ 50 on fixing the stupid seized roller I had, but that comment made me sure you were scamming me.(Oh, and calling me darlin’ is a good way to piss me off. Lots of women feel this way when being condescended to by some guy in a repair shop.) I’m sure other workers at this shop are lovely. But this guy really rubbed me the wrong way, and he didn’t even explain why the repair would be $ 50.(Is that roller replacement plus labor? Is that me paying you to stare meaningfully at my vacuum and then yanking the roller hard to unseize it?) I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re trying to save money fixing a normal vacuum. It won’t be cheap, and you may be chided for not spending $ 500 on a cleaning device.

My 4.5 year old Pfaff failed. It was not bought from this dealer but I wanted to support local business. After waiting 1.5 months for the circuit board I was then informed that BOTH boards were bad and the cost to fix it was not worth it – over $ 1000. I then called the dealer I bought the machine from in Olympia and he said«oh, that sounds like a stepper motor problem, not a circuit board problem.» Sure enough, it was. So I almost junked a $ 2000 machine when all it needed was a $ 350 part. I will not be trusting any other machines to this store for service.

They easily repaired my vacuum for an affordable price. Even give me a few helpful hints before I left the store. I’ll definitely go back there again.

I’ve been doing business here for the last 20 years. The shop is small and located in a short strip mall along Benson Highway. Service is always prompt and courteous. They sell and service sewing machines, vacuums and accessories. I have had them repair my sewing machine and vacuum’s and the prices are always fair and things are fixed right the first time. They accept trade-in’s on purchases and offer financing. I have also purchased my vacuum and shampooer from them. Bob(the owner) also works on antique sewing machines and has a wonderful collection of them lining the walls of the store — each is in working order.
